    Valvoline Instant Oil Change

    Valvoline Instant Oil Change

    (10 reviews)

Back in the day I would change my own oil and it would cost me about $30 for filter and oil. I…read morenormally get my oil changed at the dealership but couldn't get an appointment when I wanted so here I am. So be warned, I am very disconnected of oil change prices. To be honest, I was expecting the oil change to be $50 as I see flyers for around that price - but I rolled out of there with a $111 bill and a bit of shock. And that was with a coupon. Just for comparison last time I was at dealership I paid $154 for oil, filter, wipers, cabin filter, engine filter. When I got there 1 bay was available so I was guided in. The guy guiding me in was not the best and was obviously frustrated with me. I'll be that guy - I blame him. Throughout my life I've pulled campers and trailers and drove big vehicles in and out of the military. I am very good at maneuvering vehicles - but if you spotter doesn't know wtf they are doing and are giving bad/wrong hand-signals then you're going to be driving afoul. The bad part is that if they guide you wrong enough you'll drive into the pit. So either learn how to properly guide or offer to drive the car into the stall for the customer. Once you're in the stall they ask you what you want. At least for me, and maybe I'm going deaf, I could not properly hear what they were asking/selling. I had to have them repeat nearly everything. It may be beneficial for them to get the screen up close and talk to you more personally than to stand 5-10ft away and ask what services you want. As for the service itself, it was pretty good. It was a flurry of young folk flying around the car doing various tasks. Lots of calling when tasks are done and kind of felt like I was in a F1 pit stop. You sit in the car and wait, so no waiting room for you to chill in. The total time in the stall was maybe 15mins? Overall, service was good but... I'm going to be looking for someplace that maybe isn't as expensive. And who knows, I may be shocked that everywhere is this price.

Decided to pull into this location early on the Friday morning after Thanksgiving, anticipating…read morelines, especially given the fact, they don't take reservations. Luckily, when I pulled up, nobody was in line, and I was able to pull right into the first bay. From the minute I pulled in these guys took care of me. I swear, four young guys swarmed the bronco and started doing their thing and within 20 or so minutes they had me ready to go. One note. I wanted them to do a tire rotation, and they couldn't because they said their lifts weren't suitable for a full-size bronco. That seems to be a miss on Valvoline's part, but other than that, I definitely would rate this location high on Customer Service and speed.

No charge to me as well once the problem was diagnosed. Could not ask for a better place to take your vehicle. Please if you are needing work on your vehicle done, please go see Chris. I had a VERY disappointing experience with All Valley Car Care in Gilbert. I was told my Jeep would…read morebe repaired using factory/OEM replacement parts, but when another shop inspected my vehicle later, they found aftermarket parts that they identified as low-cost components, ordered from Amazon, rather than OEM. Considering I paid around $1,000 for the repair, I felt misled. Within a week of the repair, my check engine light came back on. Yesterday, I took my Jeep to another mechanic for further diagnosis. They explained that the ignition components installed previously had contributed to additional engine issues and showed me the parts they had removed. Needless to say, I was extremely frustrated after paying so much for the original repair. Based on my experience, I would not return or recommend this shop. I expected quality parts, honest communication, and a lasting repair, but unfortunately that was not my experience.

I have an older car that hasn't been into a shop in the last 4 years. Let me tell y'all when my car was humming loud before the repairs, it was loud. Tony and his crew fixed up that car in one day. Tony was on point with communication, and told me exactly what needed repaired. Now I'm back on the highway smooth sailing. Big thanks to Tony and his crew for their professional work!

After talking with many in the Jeep community, I realize now that I should have taken my Jeep to a shop that actually knows what they are doing. I got the Jeep back for the first of three visits  and the check engine light was on, they sent a tech out to clear it in the parking lot, only for it  to come back on while driving home. As I drove home, I noticed grease on my interior panels and I also noticed a new clunk while accelerating. Once at home, I ran it to AutoZone and it was a code for the battery temp sensor. Guess what, they never plugged it back in. I completed their work and the code went away. I proceeded to clean up the grease stains on my like new interior panels. I went to sleep and awoke the next morning to a GIANT pile of oil on my driveway (my wife was so happy). Upon inspection, the Jeep now was profusely leaking from the rear main AND the transmission drain plug. I also noticed, instead of unbolting my exhaust, the shop just cut it off and re-welded it (terribly btw). I took the Jeep back for the 50 minute drive and $45 worth of gas. No apology and no communication for 5 days. I had to call multiple times just to check the status; finally to be told it was done. I picked up the Jeep once again; drove home to the same loud clunk that was never present before and to the smell of oil. This time the Jeep was running really bad. I pulled over into a gas station and popped the hood, the emissions control vacuum line was disconnected. Another win for this shop. Get the Jeep home and look underneath, all seems ok except for the additional cuts to my exhaust in another spot. Now my exhaust looks.lioe Frankenstein with some of the worst welds I have ever seen. At this point, I also noticed that 2 of the trans bolts are loose and I fix those as well. I travelled for work and came back about 1 week later. My wife texts me a picture of a nice large pile of oil under the Jeep; yet again, the rear main is leaking. It is also now leaking from the bell housing connection on the trans. I call and get some excuses; the owner (Tony?) Tells me again to bring it down and I express my dissatisfaction - no apology or remorse. Enter the THIRD visit for the same issues. I drop off the Jeep and almost an entire week goes by without hearing from these jokers. I call after 5 days thinking, they surely must be fixing it thoroughly this time, only to be told by Jim that the owner never told him what to do with the Jeep and it has been sitting outside this entire time. Poor Jim did everything he could to reassure me but he had no idea. Jim tells me they will get on it tomorrow morning and I asked to have the owner call me as I am now skated to go out of town. I receive no phone call and finally decide to just pick up the Jeep and take it somewhere else and ask for a refund for the work they could seem to fix. I go to pick up the Jeep and ask for a refund of the work for the rear main seal; the owner reassures me it will be fixed (still no apology). Against my better judgement, I leave it. I finally pick up the Jeep for the last time. All seems good driving home - FINALLY! I get home to a new check engine light. The new light is for an O2 sensor. I check the sensors to find two of them damaged and one of wires burned as the tech removed it and yet again didn't put it back properly. I head again to O'Reilleys and spend the $70 to replace them. More surprises! Not impressed with this shop or the customer service and shame on Doetsch offroad for recommending a shop that can't seem to get it right the first, second or even the third time.  If you care about your Jeep, your time and your money, take it elsewhere.
