Thieves! I brought my car in because it was shaking. I paid or agreed to pay a $210 diagnostic after being told that substantially lower price by the Midas on Watt Avenue. When I went to this location, they told me not to go to Watt because they were bad to customers. They called me back and said that the reason why the car was shaking was the control arms and a few other things. I found out that they were asking for more than double than a few other shops and that I couldn't afford the over $3000 price they asked. By that time they had got me a Lyft to my job but when I needed a ride back, they said they wouldn't give me a ride back and that they wouldn't let go of my car unless I towed it out. I decided to trust them and get the control arms on the front of my car fixed because they said that would fix the problem. When I got the car back and got it on the freeway it started shaking again. I called and told them that the car was still shaking and they said that they fixed the risk but not the problem and that they were clear about saying that. So now I am out almost $1700 and my car is still broken. They had me apply for some kind of line of credit and the first thing they did was try to max it out. Don't go to this place or any Midas for that matter, according to them. I'm going to see if there's any legal action I could take but I doubt it. I have a feeling these guys have been getting away with this kind of stuff for a long time so they could pay for their garbage commercials. They had to order the part, which was initially pretty expensive, but they went out of their way to find me a more affordable option--which I really appreciated. While the car was in, they also did a full vehicle inspection and let me know that my rear brakes needed to be replaced. I agreed, and I'm glad they caught it before it became a bigger issue. They were very communicative throughout the whole process, keeping me updated every step of the way. The total cost was a bit hefty, but I understand that comes with the type of work that was done. Never again. Just went for a diagnostics and they quoted me $90. For repairs they went on to say a few things need to be replaced and it would cost over $3k. I called my mechanic friend he said he would do it for less than $500. Went to pick up my car and they charged me not only the diagnostics but "one hour of labor" huh? I would say a normal circumstances Midas is not a bad place. But I will say the foothills location is extremely unprofessional. They will definitely reel you in with good values and coupons that will save you a ton of money. But their customer service lacks a lot. This morning I booked an oil change at 11:30 AM for 4:00 PM the same day I received an email that stated and I quote you will receive a call within 30 minutes. I never received that call or an email or any response confirming so I called to confirm my appointment at two, and I was told by the employee that there's no way they could do my oil change today even though I had booked it online . I explained to him that after I booked it I received a coupon for a certain price point for an oil change and he said well I'm sorry, but there's nothing we can do. We don't have time for you. He said the only way he could do my oil changes if I left my vehicle, which I explained the reason why I needed it done today was because I was leaving tomorrow. The long and short of it is he could care less about my issues or the fact that nobody called me or emailed me back what the email said within the 30 minutes he sounded like somebody who thought it was it just a job and it's not his responsibility to care. The only reason this isnt a 5 star is I paid more than I typically do at the Midas I used to go to in SD and also the amount advertised in the mailer. Not a big deal because I didn't want to nickel and dime with the mechanic that is going to be working on my car however bring the advertisement or coupon with you so you can reference it. Ray was transparent on the additional work my Jeep needed but did not apply any pressure for me to schedule the work (as most places do) Win #2! I took my Jeep back to Breakmasters who completed a service that should not have been on the list provided by Midas and what a hassle that was! Went in today with an appointment for an oil change, tire rotation and ride share safetycheck. Something went wrong so they were way behind. (It happens) not a big deal. I was informed they wont do the rideshare safty check anymore. (They did last month for one if the other companies i work with) not sure what changed. Wound up with an oil change, safety check and new set of tires at an competor. Used to have amazing customer service. Now they send you to their competition. I bring all of my cars here for an oil change. Every other shop I have been to always called me and told me "recommendations" my cars needed. Midas on Foothills has never once called me to tell me this. They change the oil as I requested, and call me when it's done. They do an inspection and let me know if something if flagged, but they never pressure me. Last time, I asked for a tire rotation. Rather than doing the tire rotation, they actually called me to tell me I did not need a tire rotation!! This is the place for trustworthy mechanics! read more

Absolutely NOT a place I would recommend. The first time I went there before to have my oil changed, they proceeded to tell me that I have issues worth almost $2000 to fix. They gave me an unsolicited quote which I did not take. My brother is a mechanic and checked my car after the oil change. He said they were full of BS!! For convenience (since it's only a couple of minutes away from my house), I scheduled a synthetic oil change for Wednesday at 3:30. The guy that answered the phone and confirmed my Appointment pulled up my phone number and saw that I am in their system already. He said we have your information, we will see you tomorrow at 3:30. I get there Wednesday at 3:25 and the guy at the front said I had no appointment confirmed and the guys have already locked up ready to go home. He proceeded to ask if I would be available the next day. No, I would not and I just walked out. People work and we take the time to take care of things during our days off. I had to replace my trucks wheel bearings and was quoted an outrageous price of $500 for the pair. I asked can they get them cheaper somewhere and I was told even the dealer sells them high. I contacted the dealer and got the pair for $300. That was the 1st strike for me, secondly I spent $1500 for installation & 2 months down the road I continued to have issues.l which now included my ABS Sensor/Traction control sensors being permanently on. I contacted my insurance and thankfully they were able to get me into a shop to evaluate & discovered that when Midas installed the Bearings, they caught the ABS sensor/Traction control into the Bearings resulting in the sensors to be torn apart. I have been reached out to Midas on numerous occasions by "David" & I explained the situation but then Get ghosted. I do not recommend this place to anyone for major parts installations as they are not professional and look to upsell. read more

I made an online appointment to get my car's oil changed in response to a special they were running. When I arrived at the store, they refused to honor the special and quoted me a price that was double the amount. I asked for the manager, and he told me to take it or leave it, and if I don't like it to take my business elsewhere. They were rude and belligerent towards me because I asked that they should honor their own oil change special they were offering online. This was my go to auto place for over a decade until they closed a bit. Came back when we found out they reopened. We went for an oil change and they are supposed to do safety checks while they do that. We dropped off our truck for the oil change and they called to let us know it was done. We were told that everything looked good with the safety check and our truck got a clean bill of health. The guy with whom I spoke was arrogant and a bit condescending (maybe because I am a woman? I hope not!) But he was WRONG!! We noticed something with our breaks. Decided to take it someplace else since it was given a clean bill of health here. Front breaks were metal on metal and both break pads and rotors need replacement. Not safe....so yeah, worthless to say they did a safety check that is supposed to include breaks. It's sad when a place you trusted for so long has gone downhill. I really hate saying this but since I cannot trust them anymore, I will no longer be giving them out business. read more

I heard Midas was under new ownership and the owner was pretty cool so I decided to check it out. I took my vehicle in for an oil change and Mike was super knowledgable and explained things to me in a way I could understand. I appreciate the fact that he spoke kindly to me and wasn't condesending when I admited to not being knowledgable about vehicles. Always had a good experience here having been a longtime customer. With or without appointments they try to squeeze you in as long as you check-in early morning. Maybe that was pre-COVID and lately we've just been doing appointments. This last routine oil change got me out the door within the estimated waiting time of 45 minutes. A $15 coupon has also been credited even if I didn't print one. This practice by different managers of this branch isn't the first time which is why I continue to bring my business here. read more

I needed to replace two brake pads on the rear axle. I was told my 2020 used Lexus GX, a 44k vehicle was "luxury" and tried to charge me $760. Apparently the employee added new rotors to the work order which was never requested. Also the place is empty, I was the first one to arrive at 9:15AM after waiting 2.5 hours I asked for a time estimate and I was told another hour because they had to go get my original brake pads from the dealership. read more

I really hate to leave a bad review but in this case I have to. I ordered a set of tires a few days before I arrived and they weren't there. I left my vehicle and was told they would get them and have my vehicle ready by 12. It wasn't but it was ready a few hours later. They didn't put the new valve stem covers on and put 2 old ones in and the TPMS started malfunctioning a day after I got my vehicle back. Within a couple of weeks my SUV was shaking on the highway so I took it to another Midas shop for re balancing and that shop found out the the other place didn't even balance the tires. There were no weights on the rims. The guys at the other shop were all shaking their heads....wow. I have done business over the years with other Midas shops in various states and I will say I won't be returning to this one again. TPMS went off because the tires were over-inflated by a lot, the tires that were put on my vehicle are different from the receipt so they won't be registered with the Dot therefore I can't get the rebate for the tires I paid for and who knows about the warranty, my name and address were even misspelled! The Midas in Rocklin fixed the tire issues that the Roseville location created. I would leave negative stars if I could! read more

I have taken my cars to multiple Midas for oil changes, this was by far my worst experience! Making an appointment was fairly easy, was able to call and get in the next day. First issue was the employee who works at the desk and phones, was very awkward customer service. He wasn't rude, but also didn't seem like he knew what he was talking about. He was the one who pulled my car in the bay, then tried to pop my hood. He couldn't figure out how to pop my hood so he proceeded to tell me he would have to use a tool to get it open because it seemed broke. I immediately jumped to the defense because it's not broken, and I didn't want him to brake anything by not knowing what he's doing and using a tool to pop by hood! So I told him nevermind I will take my car elsewhere (I just had a bad feeling that they didn't know what they were doing) , he then got a mechanic over to pop the hood and was able to proceed with the oil change. (While doing so they popped off my kill switch to my speaker that should have never been touched!) anyways...when finished, they didn't do a check on my car and I was under the impression by my years as a customer that a full "check up" on the car was standard. Lastly, driving home from the shop I kept hearing a scraping sound but I didn't think too much about it, then the next day I still hear it. I called my husband because I thought I hit something and it was maybe stuck under my car, but that was not the case. The mechanic didn't screw the plate back on when completing my oil change so it was dragging the ground for two days! I was just very disappointed in this locations standards and professionalism. Will never take my cars back here. P.S from the bays, to the office, to the bathroom... this Midas is disgustingly dirty! Rat poop in the bathroom, spider webs in the lobby, dirty dirty floors. I came by around 4:40 PM to get my tire fixed as I'm completely flat and I already added air about for times, but I won't be able to get home if I keep losing air every 3 minutes. I told the guy inside who's just chatting with waiting customer. He said he won't be able help me at all as they'll be closing in 20 minutes. I told him it's an emergency and I won't be able to get home, but not willing to help. I looked outside to see if they're busy, but there's no cars being repaired. His employees were available to do it if they really wanted to. This guy wearing uniform and hat who work as a receptionist will encounter some worse situations. Like they say what goes around comes around. Hope this lazy employee gets fired. I will write a letter and complain to the corporate office. read more

took my car in for an engine diagnostic and they pressured me into buying $200 worth of extra stuff that i did not need. two weeks later, my check engine light is on again so i called requesting an appt time and spoke to a guy who told me to come in the next day at 9. i go in at 9 the next day and try to check in only to be completely disregarded by the receptionist. she asked if i had an appointment scheduled and i told her i talked to someone on the phone who told me to come in at 9. this woman turns her computer screen to me and asks "do you see your name on this list?" to which i responded no and she says "you see what i mean then?". i knew at that point i was going to get zero help from this disrespectful ass receptionist. the attitude and customer service is absolutely terrible. i will not ever be returning. it's hard enough to get work done on my car as a woman without getting scammed and now i have to worry about being completely disrespected too? nice. read more

There "yes we can help" attitude and reasonable prices help me in coming back to them each time! The staff at Midas is always courteous and honest. Last winter I went to them to buy a new battery and they informed me that it had two days left on my warranty. They refunded my battery with a high-quality one at no cost to me!!!
