I had a great experience at Goodyear in Waipahu! I brought my car in thinking I had a slow leak, but they found that the tire had sidewall damage and unfortunately couldn't be repaired. Joshua was proficient in finding the correct replacement tire that matched my other three tires, and he was very patient throughout the process. This was also during the weekend of the hurricane, and I really appreciated being able to leave my car there overnight for three nights while everything was being sorted out. Tony also checked in with me later in the day to confirm the tire order and make sure everything was on track. Everyone was helpful, professional, and communicative. Overall, a very great experience! This is the location by Long's Waipahu NOT the one by Highway Inn. I made that mistake but being that I'm always early, I didn't have any trouble driving a bit further down Farrington to the correct spot & still made it on time. Chris was kind enough to call the night before to confirm my appt & discussed some estimates costs for my tire sensor light that had been blaring at me for the past week. Upon arrival, I waited for about 4 mins before someone popped their head out from the back to assure me someone would be with me shortly. Chris came out, guessed it was me, I signed a release form & had a seat with an expected wait time of about an hour. In less than an hour, Chris gave me the news. My tires needed replacing. Eeeks! He took me to my car to show me how they looked & we trotted back in to discuss more pricing. A few questions were asked, agreement made & I was advised it's be another 45 minutes or so. 2 hours later, my car was ready to go! As I know my original appt wasn't expected to take as long as what it did, I'm still pleased that I didn't spend 5+ hours sitting around. I was cashed out by another rep, but Chris made it a point to catch me at my car before leaving to thank me for my service! That's great customer service! They do have a unisex bathroom (I didn't use it) & a few chairs for patrons to use while waiting. Lobby could use some dusting but hey, it's a tire shop! read more

Between all the miles we travel and all the construction happening, it's the perfect storm for us to get major rewards points at a place like Goodyear. But luckily for us, Chris and the crew always do well to ease the anxiety of walking in to a repair shop. They're very inviting. I'm certain it's a tribute to their experience in the business. They know what the guests are feeling and they do what they can to quell those fears by keeping you well informed and being very transparent. Terrible service. My tire was under warranty and the manager acted as if he didn't want to help me. I had work the same day I dropped off the tire and couldn't make it back the same day showed up in the morning and was given attitude about why I did not come back. Then I was handed my tire and told to put it on myself. I had showed them the receipt that I had payed for the the tire to be reinstalled. Terrible customer service and dishonest. I called the day before for an appointment for a conventional 'good' oil change. I had a coupon for a 'good' oil change. I asked if they do conventional oil and he said yes. I told him that's what my coupon (21.99) was for. I showed up the next day to my appointment. The guy at the desk tells me they don't have conventional oil. I reminded him I asked over the phone the day before. He double checks and with an attitude tells me ok, they have 19 quarts left in stock. I informed him I had a coupon that I called about the day before. $21.99 for the 'good' 39.99 oil change. Show him the coupon and he tells me 'throw it in the trash'. I start laughing and ask for clarification, he says he will give me $15 off (which is less savings than the coupon). I come back to pick up my car and the total was $42. I ask what happened to the $15 discount you said (39.99 oil change). He tells me that is the discount. Remember he told me to throw the coupon away but I showed it to him and told him $39.99-15.00=24.99. He types away at the computer for a while. I told him if I'm paying more than what was quoted, please tell me what I'm paying for. He couldn't tell me. Another few minutes goes by while he types away. He then says he will give me $30 off my 39.99 oil change and the total was $23. The original amount I wanted to pay with my 21.99 oil change coupon. He offered no sincerety, explanation or apology. Oh yea I forgot about this place. I haven't been here for so long. It's not because of pervious services, it's just that most of my maintenance for this car is either at the dealership or the NEX Autoport. I know you read both those reviews. I came here for a transmission fluid change out. It's way cheaper to get it here then anywhere else. Shopping around I was quoted an average price between $300-$350. (You know, about the same price to fill up your gas tank these days. JK, I HOPE) Anyway here I was charged $146. I asked why the price difference? "You guys taking short cuts or what?" Nope that's the standard and the change out procedure was the same as the dealership and a couple of other mechanic shops I asked. Plus they give a military discount. Overall four stars. Can't beat the price and the location is perfect. You can shop at Long's, do your grocery shopping at Seafood City or eat at the various restaurants. Me I just chilled at Starbucks. I don't normally do reviews like this but straight up I was given crap for service. I had an appointment booked a couple days in advance and the tires I had ordered were never shipped to this location for installation. Instead I was offered a tire that was a less quality for a greater price. I was fine because I just needed to get this done. I had a 9am appointment and was told it should be done by 11am at the latest. Again I was one of the first people in here. Meanwhile they had to go get the tires and bring them back, which was never explained to me, not to mentioned the cheaper tire I originally order was needing the same pick up. So he might as well have picked up my original tires I ordered saving me money. Bottom line I spent more and I'm having to replace the tires. read more

Went there to get a flat tire changed. Front staff was courteous and professional. Provided me all the info and pricing. Had me come out to look at my other tires which were in bad shape as well. So after consulting, decided to change all 4. Had to wait a bit but it was a Sunday and there is plenary to do around that area to keep busy. They will call you when all repairs are complete. And I can ride the skyline back to ewa while waiting. It's convenient. Great service and I'll return for other repairs as needed! read more

Let me start by saying, I think they deserve a 4.5 star review. I have been bringing my vehicles to this specific location out of convenience and consistency. The workers are friendly and they get the job done, HOWEVER, as said in other reviews, they take a really long time. Do not expect to be seen at your appointment time or even shortly after. LOL. I'm not sure if it's because they are short staffed or if they just take longer than expected and possibly book more services than they can handle?? It seems to be consistent for my past experiences over the past 10 or so years I've been to this location. Additionally, their waiting area is not great. The temperature seems choppy and chairs are not very comfortable. So if you do have to wait for your vehicle, you may want to go walking around the shopping center for an hour, or two, or more. I would highly suggest planning in advanced. Schedule an appointment on your day off... then drop off your vehicle and be prepared to have someone ready to pick you up so that you can go along with your day, and then go back to pick up your vehicle towards the ending of the day. I believe they are open 7 days a week from 8am-5pm which is very convenient. I do like that they offer promo/discounts which are normally $10-$15 oil changes. I would recommend good year Waipahu town center, but just consider your time before scheduling a service. read more

Her voice tone was rude, condescending and no good morning greeting. They did a coolant change instead, and didn't even do the oil change, the c wasn't even fill up too. and when we got the car back it didn't work properly because they didn't attach the hose on and the broke the clip and wires were all over the place. They had to fix it the next day but were saying oh sorry it was a faulty part. No they didn't put things back In place properly and they still charged my sister full price for the the labor and all. I came back home for some crap ass job like this to help my sister. 400 to plug in the the device to check the engine wtf really!!! And on the new paper it listed it was the oil change light was on. are you fucking kidding me. If you knew it was just the oil change why wasn't it done. Fucked up service. If you're thinking of getting tires here or any kind of tire installation or buying new tires, DON'T!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. First time I was here I needed a tire patch that ended up being irreparable and needed a new tire. Ended up waiting 2 hours for someone to pick up a tire from a warehouse that's a couple of blocks down the street. Second time I came back, same thing happened and I'm going now on waiting 4 hours and still waiting. I was told my tires were put on a delivery truck that makes deliveries throughout the island :/ As much as I like the staffthese kinds of delays and mistakes can cost someone their entire day which what happened to me. This will be the last time I come here. Thanks Goodyear, but no thanks. An update on this review. The third time around I had to get a new tire (because they're only ones who stock my type of tire) Nalu made sure my experience wasn't a repeat of the last 2 times. He was able to put in the order for my tire and called me when it was ready. I was only at the tire place for about 20 mins and he even gave me discount. Had an appointment for new tires. The guy at the counter claimed it was from another store. Showed him the proof that it was his store. He insisted that I call other Goodyear stores in the area to see if they have the tires I ordered from Goodyear.com. After he looked at paperwork lying on the counter he found my order. While I was waiting for his boss to come in because he was unsure of order not being in the system, he continued to be rude to the next customers. Never use this location for any service unless you have all day long to wait. I had oil change appointment at 11am. I came to the shop 15 minutes prior to my appointment. Waited 10 minutes to check in. When I checked in, I asked how long it would take. He said 1-1.5 hours. So I went for a walk. When I came back one hour later, my car was still in the parking, so I started reading a book. One hour later, my car was still at the same spot I parked. So, I asked what was going on. He said my service would be the next. My appointment was 11am and he told me my service was next which was after 1PM!! There is absolutely NO meaning of making appointment. I'm usually good about waiting, I go for a walk or read a book. But this IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!! I will NEVER come back here. read more

Went in to patch one of my tires for a slow leak and an oil change. Told them I'd leave it and someone will pick it up for me because I have to go to work. Was called later telling me both front tires are worn and needed to change. I said okay charge me for it. Young guy on the phone says, oh btw you need to do an alignment. I said okay how much is my total at, he says $398 before taxes. I said no just my tires and oil change. He said okay it's $298. That's not the big deal though. My wife went to pick up my car. She went to the front to pick up and pay. She asks where the car was. They just told her outside in the lot. She went outside looking around. No car. Her brother and her ended up driving around the lot to find my car in the Long's drugs parking lot. Why is it that far and why didn't anyone help her to find it or direct her to where it was? No customer service at all. Next, her brother goes to open my car. Before inserting the key in the door, pulls the handle, and my door was unlocked. Whomever drove my car and parked it left my car unlocked. How unsafe is that!? If it was stolen then what?! Ridiculous. I was happy with how they dealt with me in the office but after finding out how they left my car pissed me off. Maybe they were mad that i didn't want to do the alignment? Lastly, what's funny is they estimated me for $398 with alignment included. Funny thing is they attached an estimate of alignment to my main receipt, $1,115.09. How is that even close to $400??? Poor customer service. Taking it out on the customer, parking my car far, and leaving it unlocked just because I couldn't afford to do the alignment. Smh. Never again. Going to Midas or anywhere else. Luckily I didn't pick up my car myself. I wouldn't have to write this review. I'd just say it to them myself. read more

Well, I believe I finally found a diamond in the rough with Chris at Goodyear at Waipahu Town Center. I've had the pleasure of working with him handling my vehicle's service needs on 3 occasions now, and he hasn't disappointed me yet. He values my time and my business. He tries to get my vehicle in and out in a timely fashion. And, he's incredibly cordial during the service visit. Goodyear is lucky to have him! A knife and a handful of change was stolen out of my car when it was under their responsibility. Brought it in for an alignment and sometime during the hour and a half that I was there, things were stolen out of my car. Seeing as I saw the knife 10 seconds before walking into the store and noticed it was gone 10 seconds after driving out of the parking lot, plus the missing change, it is very clear what happened. The knife was in the closed center console so someone went out of their way to look for a quick grab. I can't say for sure it was staff that took the stuff but I know it was taken when in their possession which is highly unacceptable. I trusted my most valuable possession to the shop and they stole from it. If this isn't enough of a reason to keep you away, I don't know what will. read more

Negative stars Super pissed!!!!!!! Got to Goodyear 10min after opening was told to come later at 2pm.arrived for my 2pm appointment for a normal oil changed service.I've waited over 2hours for them to tell me they broke my oil filter cap and I won't be able to take my truck home.They could not find any available auto stores with the part for my truck. I was told that I would have to leave my truck over night.this has been such an inconvenience as I work overnight. Now missing work/loss wages.they expected me to pay $50 something dollars.hell to the no!!!!They didn't even offer a ride/Uber or some type of compensation.now I'm stranded in Waipahu no vehicle no ride and added stress. Came to pick up my truck and now they are trying to charge me for a disposal fee....This is by far the worst service I have ever received I am never ever going there or ever recommending this place to anyone. read more

I bought a set of four tires, sales agent Anthony offered a wheel alignment the amount of $180. Too expensive!!! And it's only a one time deal. He then secretly whisper to my ear, I will help you out, Just give me $80 on the side. Okay, deal! When he presented me the statement for tires, and trying to collect the $80 it got me thinking , that I should ask for the print out of wheel alignment before I make a payment. He can't show me a copy, at first he showed me the other car print out, then make excuses that the printer run out of ink . He then asked me to come back tomorrow . After coming back for the next day, still never have the ink ,found out later from his manager Gilbert Magbual that he did not do it. One more thing, as I was looking on the statement, I found out that he charged me too for Road Hazard protection. When it's supposed to be free. It comes with their promotion he even mentioned it during the negotiation... Soliciting money from the customer, is a FRAUD !!! This must be STOP!!! read more

My ABS system kicked the bucket - managed to get the car to their shop since it was so close. They did a diagnostic same day, kept me informed, and through a few days of trying to figure out how to get the part needed we found out they didn't have the capability to install and program the new part. Kimo, Chris, and everyone else here worked with me for multiple days helping me figure out how to get it fixed, even to the point of giving me recommendations of other shops to try (I'm talking chilling with me and looking up shops on their personal phones). These guys even kept my car there safe for almost a week, no charge whatsoever, working with my schedule until I had the time to tow it out. If I could give this shop and its employees a million stars, I would. Let's face it guys - driving, maintaining, and fixing your vehicle is not cheap. All the more reason to give these guys your business when the stressful situation of a breakdown comes around, because the last thing you need when you're worried about price tags is worrying that it's more than it should be.
