Took our truck in on a Sunday to replace tires and have an alignment done. Upon leaving, noticed the new tires were rubbing inner fender, immediately called Goodyear and they said to call back on Monday when the supervisor is in. Called back Monday and supervisor Chris quickly remedied the situation by retrieving the correct size tires from another store and scheduled me to come in and change tires again. I would've rated them 5 stars if not for the incorrect size tires initially. Service representative Chris was also very professional in dealing with me (being upset about the whole experience and complaining). Good job guys. read more

I've never had any problems from this Goodyear location in the past and it was that time of the year again that I needed to get my safety check. I walked in and checked in at the register and asked them about how long it normally takes. The front girl replied that she can't really say. I figured, okay that's fine. My other half and I ended up walking across the street to eat lunch in the meantime. About half an hour later, the same front girl calls to tell me that my back right reverse light is out and that they can't pass my safety check unless they replace it. My Scion is one of the only models that is built with only one reverse light (on the left) and I've double checked with Servco Scion on multiple counts. So I tried to explain to her that my Scion is originally equipped to have only one reverse light and in the middle of my explanation, she abruptly cut me off and said, "that's our policy, it's either you replace the reverse light or we don't pass your safety check". I just let them be and have them figure it out for themselves that I do in fact only have one reverse light. Upon returning to pick up my car, the front girl I had been working with tells me that they actually found out I only had one reverse light and that if I had known that. I annoyingly responded back to her and said, "Yeah, I knew that and I was trying to explain over the phone but you just cut me off." No apologies from her were given and she just rambled about how she's just doing her job and relaying what the technician had told her to do. I mean, I understand that she's just doing her job but I really wish they try to hear out the customer as well. So I just told her, "At least you all know for next time you have a Scion like my model come in for a safety check." So fast forward to a week later (today), I come to find out they had actually chipped my tail light housing and my entire right tail light is out. So I go back to visit them today and explain my situation, and they tell me that it couldn't have been them if I only noticed it now. I mean, I can't see the back of my car while I'm driving so how would I have known? And that my tail lights were working completely fine prior to my safety check. I told them, maybe it was the wiring that may be out of place or something. I assume because I am a female, they talked to me like I'm ignorant and don't know what I'm talking about. They ended up telling me that they couldn't do anything to fix it today and it would probably be best to just make an appointment. I only have one day off a week and I would prefer to not drive around with a broken tail light. The customer service overall could be much better at this location. Though they have never failed me before, I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon. I hope they do something to improve their service for their future customers. read more

It is an hour and a half past opening and no one has opened the location yet. I've been sitting out here since 8:20am, it's now 9:33am. It is now 10am, 2 hours past opening, this is totally unacceptable. Ended up leaving with no services preformed. COmE HERE if YOU want to get ripped off. I have been a customer for years at good year but I have been disappointed lately. I have a road hazard protection but they told me they don't have the record on file on their system and a different name comes out. They told me they will just give me a discount but didn't. Fact: they did took out tire installation BUT if you purchase road hazard protection, it already comes with free installation plus they will prorate the price depending on how much the thread life is. I have payed $80 dollars ( multiple times) for a road side protection but when I needed the service, they dishonor that service. Don't get me wrong, I could afford paying, I just don't like dishonesty. read more

Since I work and open at the shopping center, Kimo was able to accommodate me coming in a bit before they opened. That really helped me out to make it to work on time. My son took his grandfather's car here to have an oil change. They put in the wrong oil type in the car. Now my father has to pay them again to make it right. By doing some quick checks they could have easily figured out the right oil to use. Instead they used outdated information in their system for the oil change. Zero is more like it. I've never been to a Goodyear Service Center and I needed new tires. I checked their website first and shopped for tires. The website made it convenient for me to order in-stock tires specifically for my van. It also set the appointment for the tire service and confirmed my tire service with an Email. So far so good, similar on-line experience with Costco Tires and Lex Brodie. Here's where Goodyear failed hard: When I show up for my appointment, the representative retrieves my appointment and asked if I called the shop. "Why would I need to call the shop if I already ordered and made an on-line appointment, I asked?" "So we can make sure we have your tires. Right now, we don't have your tires, he said." "So I would go on-line, order my tires, set my appointment, then CALL you to let you know I ordered on-line? Why do I even need to notify you, shouldn't your system have done that for you?" Goodyear said approx 3 hours and I could also bring in earlier. today, the day before the appoint, it's well, we have to wait for the part to come in. for a 9am appoint may not be able to get back before 1pm. Be aware. they promise and then it doesn't happen. it's going to be more time and probably more money. just a lot of run around. don't suggest this Goodyear if you want things done on time and on budget. or maybe they think because I'm female I'm wouldn't understand the misleading information they are trying to give me. read more

Called the store and spoke with Chris the Store Manager. Very professional and efficient. I hit a pothole in waipahu near Firestone and found out that two of my tires had bubbles on the sidewall as a result. He asked me for my vehicle info, have me the quote (which was cheaper than Firestone and Midas) and he could have the tires there for me today. Set the appointment and changed 4 tires on my car. They torqued my lug nuts and did a professional install. I will tell all of my friends to see Chris at the Waipahu Town Center location. By the way, don't confuse this location with the one deeper in waipahu by Honolulu Kitchen. Yelp pulls that location first when you're in waipahu. I'll be going back to Chris to get my alignment done (I had a few appointments today). Glad Chris could get me out quickly today. Thank you! read more

I was told that there really busy today and couldn't give me a time. Funny thing, I was the only one waiting in their office. Brought my car for a change oil, was billed $74...When I gave my coupon of $10 off it became $76...he said oh I forgot to charge you something like seriously? So I said " I just gave you a $10 off coupon and now my bill is higher?"...The bald old guy sitting next to him just laughed and said $10 is almost nothing. That's only for the taxes. Called them around 12pm to see if they take in walk ins or by appointment. They said walk ins is fine and I also asked how long it would take if I was to walk in and they said it should be done by 3. I drop my car off at 12:30pm and I did my errands around the town center. I had a couple drinks and food at shakey's to kill time. By the time I walked back I figure they're probably squaring up everything and finishing up by now, the time was 3:30pm and my car wasn't even worked on nor taken off the parking stall I left it at. Such an unreal image to see as a customer! So, I walked in and sat down in the waiting area and 10 minutes go by and the dude that was working the front desk asks me "how may I help you?" Cmon man! It took you 10 minutes to attend to your customers. I'd say his name on here but I don't want to make it such of a bad review as it is already. So I told him what happened, that I called this time blah blah...etc. He told me that they're going off of appointments which is understandable in my end. I totally understand that part but then he says if you wait 15 minutes we'll get it done. I'm thinking in my head yea I'll wait...I've been waiting. For 3 and a half hours! What pisses me off more was there was another customer who comes in and asked how much it would cost to change his tires that he bought somewhere else and wanted it mounted on to his truck. The guy that was working front desk told him to just bring it to the back. And I'm seating here thinking wtf?! I need an oil change that took 3 1/2 hours to be worked on and you got this other customer who ends up being his uncle btw a family member so he didn't have no wait time like I did. Been coming here for a while for oil changes and safety inspections. There is one counter man, Mike, who has the worst customer service ever!!! For some reason I always get stuck with this grouch every time I bring my car to this place. He always looks mad and talks with an attitude. Almost seems that he is bothered because you're making him work and he would rather stand there and do nothing. I downloaded Yelp mobile app just for this review. I usually go to the Goodyear in Ewa Beach because it's closer to my house, went to this place a couple of months back because the Ewa Beach location can't take me and I needed new tires. I thought they did a good job, customer service was better than the one in Ewa Beach so I brought my van in today to get the AC fixed. I made an appointment online and came in 10 minutes before my appointment. I had the pleasure of working with Mike, yes the guy that everyone else talked about. Now been in Hawaii long enough to know that customer service is not what they known for, but Mike brought bad customer service to a whole new level. I travel a lot and been to places where customer service is not even a thing and Mike still managed to surprised me, by a lot. If I could choke him out without going to jail, I would. I started out with "Good morning Mike, how are you doing today? " That awkward moment when you said hi to someone all loud and get no response, yup that happened. After about five minutes of doing whatever he was doing, he turned to me and said "What are you here for?", his tone was what brought it all together though. I thought I was trespassing someone property. I told him I had an appointment at 10, and again, the silence treatment. I repeated myself but he still won't respond. After about two minutes he said "color! ", I asked him what and he looked at me like I inconvenience him and said "your car! The color of your car!" I told him green. Then he said " what's wrong with it? " I told him the AC is not working and that I had refrigerant charge before but it's out again. By this point I was just happy that he is talking to me. But then he told me that they are going to have to pump refrigerant in to find the leak. I said ok, is that part of the AC maintenance package that I came in for? He chuckled and said no. I asked him if that is extra? Now he busted out laughing and said of course it's extra. I asked him how come the AC maintenance package said you guys test for all leaks too but you need me to charge my refrigerant first before able to run diagnostic on it, and the location at Ewa Beach didn't have to do it and was able to find the leak? Still laughing, he informed me that I don't know what I was talking about. Then that long pause where I thought he was going to continue talking to educate me but that was it, he just wanted to insult me that is all. I told him I guess I won't be getting it done then because it doesn't seem like he wants my business. As I was walking out, I can still hear him chuckling and said no under his breath. I don't know if that was no he doesn't want my business or no he does want my business. Bottom line is I regret I even did business with this place in the first place. This experience was so bad that I wanted my money back from my last service with my tires. To cap this off, Mike I hope you live a long and joyful life and if work is getting in the way of that maybe you should think about retirement, you are way pass due for it anyway. read more

Went there for an oil change last week. I called around for prices and they quoted me $10.00 less than Midas. I went in without appointment and they were a little busy so they said it would be 30 minutes. I came back after 25 minutes and asked Mike, the sales associate some questions about my car. He was really honest and had the same attitude about repairs as I do " If it's not broken, don't fix it." My car was ready exactly on time, almost to the second! He didn't try to push any tires or "extras" on me and they gave me a $10.00 discount for bringing my own filter. They also did the usual free tire and maintenance inspections. There is a $4.00 disposal fee that I was unaware of when I called by phone but over all I was happy with the service and Mike seems like an experienced mechanic and an honest person. read more

Stay away from Colleen an employee with shoulder length dark hair and glasses, she will just say "sign here" and not explain extra fees which will be added I to your oil change. Then when you ask about fees added she will say "I put it in front of you, why didn't you read it, some read it others just sign like you ", I then said you should tell people about any extra fee. She then replied "Is this your first oil change", very inappropriate for a worker to say to a customer. Take your business elsewhere. But after the horrible experience I spoke with the manager Dave who immediately made it rite, he seems to be the only one who understands what customer service is and how to talk to a customer. I've taken my vehicles here over the years for tires, but last week my corvette was leaking coolant. I was 90% sure it was the water pump. My vette is as almost 20 years old. I've always repaired my cars in the past but now I'm just to disabled (disabled vet) to do it anymore. I had the car towed in and talked to Gil about other maintenance that was due, including recharging the ac, oil and filter change, and tranny and rear differential service. I got a call from Gil the next day letting me know that the water pump was good, it was just a bypass hose and clamp. What a relief! I was able to get all the services done, and the car was ready the next day. If you want a HONEST repair shop, where they only fix what needs to be fixed, then Goodyear Waipahu Town Center is the place to go. Big mahalos to Gil, Mike and everybody else there! read more

I called the store earlier asking if I needed to make an appointment and the guy on the phone told me I can but I don't need to. When I came in asking to get my oil changed without making an appointment, the guy who was helping me (older looking fella) was very rude to me. I was standing right in front of him for a good 2 minutes and he did not greet me what so ever. And says can I help you? I told him if I can get my oil changed and he just straight up tells me no. He doesn't even bother to ask me if I want to make an appointment or give me options of what I should do. And he just walks out to the back while I'm just standing there clueless. Seriously the worst customer service EVER! You don't even deserve to be working if you're going to treat your customers that way. I don't know if it's cause youre an old man and miserable (he's the one that wears glasses) I'm never coming here ever again. It's such a shame. read more

I go to the Goodyear Waipahu because it's close to home. The first time I went to this Goodyear, I wanted an oil change and tire rotation. The man at the counter said if I get the more expensive oil (Synthetic) that the tire rotation would be free, so I agreed. I told them I'll leave my car and just give me a call when it's finished (estimated wait time was 1-2 hours). 4 hours later and no call, I decided to just go in and wait. I see my car sitting in the front of their store in a different parking stall so it must've been done. (Now, from previous experience from my family members I was told to mark my tires before taking my car into service and I especially dont want to be taken advantage of because I am a woman). I walk up to my car and noticed my tires were NOT rotated! I walk to the counter and they already knew it was my car. The guy tried making me pay but I told them I'm not paying for a service they didn't do. I asked for the manager and showed him my marked tires. He was very apologetic and did my tires and the services was free. After this experience I decided to take my car to the Ewa Beach Goodyear. Now, a year later (2016) and an infant in my care, I had to go with what was convenient for me. I made an appointment with Goodyear Waipahu on a Saturday assuming they were gonna be busy. I got the same services and a safety check inspection. Once again, I made sure I marked my tires. I was told the service was gonna be 1.5 hours but to my surprise, it only took a hour. My car was not in the parking lot so I couldn't check (it was parked in the rear area where they do the servicing). My car was supposedly ready but I had to wait an extra 20 mins to get serviced from the people working the front counter. After paying, I walked to my car in the back and AGAIN my tires were NOT rotated!! I believe in second chances but this is too much! They told me they didn't do it in the first place because the tires in the back are better than the ones in the front. How is that possible if the tires were all bought at the same time? They told me they could do it now but it'll take another 5-10 minutes. I waited in the lobby for 20 mins and you guys finished 30 mins early. That time could've been used to do my tire rotation. Anyways, my mom was with me this time but we had somewhere to be so we just left without the tire rotation although we paid for the services. Not even a week later, my bf went to take his car in (again, he went to them for convenience). He paid for the Synthetic oil so the tire rotation would be free. Long story short, NO TIRE ROTATION. We believe in second chances but this is too much. This time we didnt even want to complain because obviously customer satisfaction means nothing to them. Why waste our breathe if nothing will be done? I would rather take my car to a place where their services are worth it. If I could, I would give them 0 stars! read more

My "almost 100 yr. old" Aunt has kept her deceased husband's 2001 Buick for visiting family and for rides to her doctor appointments. On my last visit from the Mainland, the car dashboard lit up with "check oil" and "brakes". The car was also involved in a previous fender bender and the hood had been slightly pushed in. I was afraid to open the hood thinking that I would not be able to close it because of the dent. Chris was working at the counter on Wed. 7/19. I told him my predicament and my concern about driving the car. He generously offered to open the hood and checked all fluid levels for me. He added some oil and said everything else looked fine and did not charge me. I told him I would tell my Aunt it was a 100th birthday gift from Goodyear. I happily drove away feeling much safer. Just a heads up to other customers out there...I recently did an oil service and thought this was a good location due to McDonald's and Longs nearby (there is an hour long wait, so why not kill some time, especially with 3 kids in tow), so why not? I made an appt. and I got out in 54 minutes, however, they did not top of all my fluids - windshield wiper fluid was at the bottom, coolant was below max, and I don't know what else ~ but I do know I chose the $55 service so expected to get what I paid for! When I called, "Mike" answered - he was pleasant and apologized and offered for me to come back to have those fluids topped off - but I was already upset-I mean if you do a job you gotta do it right-especially since now I have to lug all three children BACK to the location and wait another what? half an hour?!!! All that time an energy for an oil change? It's really hard to trust these establishments, especially being a woman. I feel because I really don't know anything about cars, you can get really ripped off. Trust is a tenuous thing and trying a new business, you TRUST the fact that they're going to do what they set out to do, when they DO NOT that trust is now broken and I will choose elsewhere to do my business. 2 hours later.. Wow! I am impressed! I didn't really expect any kind of resolution to the earlier problem. I thought my complaint went into the wind ~ but Mike called me back and per Sam (the manager), insisted that I get my next oil change free! I was so happy, very pleasantly surprised! Great service! I talked to Mike over the phone regarding a situation that occurred at Ewa Beach Goodyear. Basically, EB Goodyear did not want to perform a failed safety inspection (see my review of EB Goodyear). Mike already knew what I was talking about when I mentioned "getting a failed inspection." Came in today, got the failed inspection easily, waited less than an hour! No stress! They took care of what needed to be taken care of. The staff there are friendly! They know what they are doing! Quick and easy! So glad we came to this Goodyear & we will continue to travel a little bit further out of Ewa Beach for better service! read more

10 year customer of this shop and the best service on island. I took my wife's car (relatively new) in to have a simple tire fixed, had a nail in it that didn't go through the inner wall. They checked it @ no charge and then did a courtesy check on everything else as they do with my own car. They found that the engine air filter along with the cabin filter were filthy. The ironic thing was that I had just taken the car to Honda Windward for a basic oil servicing as scheduled and they never checked anything but just changed the oil. After calling them, they admitted they did nothing but change the oil and charged me $40.00 for it, a real rip off when I could've had the same servicing done at "my" shop at much less. Goodyear changed both filters for about a little over $20.00 and I was on my way. This is why these people get all my car repair business, attention to detail.
