Being that it was my first time checking out the food court at Resorts World, just about every counter we passed by looked so enticing. Ramen, dumplings, pho, fish & chips, burgers...quite genuinely, there was no shortage of things I wanted to try. However, as soon as I saw Googgle Man's, pinched into a corner towards one of the ends, I immediately knew I was coming here. For one, in the spirit of how Famous Foods is fashioned after the hawker centers and night markets in Singapore and Southeast Asia, it felt appropriate to hit up the Malaysian food vendor. Secondly, but even more importantly, the food just looked too good to resist! Now, if you're prone to suffer from bouts of decision paralysis, Googgle Man's is the place for you. With just two options on their menu - their namesake Char Kuey Teow and Hokkien Noodles - it shouldn't take long to figure out if you want one, the other, or neither (or both, if you're ambitious). That being said, even if they had 10 times the number of dishes to choose from, I was dead set on getting their CHAR KUEY TEOW. The fact that it's their namesake dish was already a pretty compelling reason, but really, it was mainly because it just looked so good in the photos on Yelp! Even before our order was ready, I was already salivating just watching it get cooked in the giant wok as flames flared out from the burner underneath. As soon as it came out, I was almost immediately ready to dive in. Somewhat surprisingly, this dish was actually loaded with a good amount of shrimp, crispy bits of pork/pork fat, and Chinese sausage. So much so, in fact, that I actually wish there had been less of the crispy bits and more of the noodles for a better balance. In terms of taste, though, this was great! The dish was well seasoned, not super oily, the shrimp were cooked well, and the noodles had a really nice bite to them. Plus, the overall portion size was pretty fair for the money, especially for The Strip. Given how I still have literally everything else in the Famous Foods food court to try, I'll likely opt to check out something new instead of coming back the next time I'm here, but it's not reflective of how I feel about Googgle Man's. Sure, I'm basing it purely on the only dish I've tried here, but I'd like to think that's it's actually based on half of the menu that I've managed to try in just one visit! It used to be so good when the Uncle Andy was cooking it. He made it really yummy and authentic. We come to Resorts World especially for the Char Kuey Teow. We have been coming since the beginning. Today we came back and Uncle Andy is already not here at the food court. In his replacement, we saw 2 female cooks who did the 1st attempt so badly that it is inedible. The noodles disintegrated and the whole plate was soggy. We sent it back and she redid it and 2nd attempt was not better. The noodles should never be wet and soggy. Until they learn the real technique to cook the CKT correctly, we won't be back. This unique dish needs wok flavor and today's dish just taste like a bad dream. We decided to have an early lunch around 11am before driving for a road trip and the food stalls were just opened at 11am. I ordered Char Kuey Teow from the tablet and got my food in about 15 mins. Once I got the food, I noticed that the portion was pretty small for the price. From the first bite, I was a bit surprised because it was pretty spicy. The char kuey teow that I had many time before was not spicy. The noodle itself was pretty good and flavorful. First off, love the ordering system for the Famous Foods Street Eats hall in Resorts World. They have kiosks throughout the dining area where you can order what you want from multiple different spots and they'll text you once your order is ready. Got the Hokkien Noodles and it was sooo flavorful! It had big pieces of succulent shrimp, pork belly, and Chinese broccoli smothered in a sweet and savory oyster sauce gravy. The staff was fast, friendly, and kind. And if you like spice and can handle it I recommend getting the hot chili oil to throw in to mix with the noodles. Mouthwatering. My friend and I shared this on a Saturday, the next day Sunday we went down to try other spots, but half the hall was closed. I think this happens on non busy days so Sun-Thurs perhaps? That was kind of a bummer.. RW is still one of the fairly newer resorts and more north of the strip away from the busy high traffic center so they probably don't get enough business to stay open the full week I assume. They work off of a cashless system where you place your order through the kiosk and they called out your number once it's ready. They only have about 2-3 options, but they definitely crush it with their signature dish. It's a large portion of a drunken noodle type flat noodle. I liked the large chunks of shrimp & crispy calm. It's also super cool to be able to watch them cook it up right in front of you in the large woks. The price is a bit high, but it's the strip so that's as expected. Just like those stands, this restaurant specializes in only a couple of dishes - in this case Kuey Teow and Hokkien Noodles. Both are made fresh before your eyes when you order, and both are fairly large portions with lots of protein. Each tasted a lot like the versions I had in SE Asia, so they are pretty authentic. I like the Hokkien noodles a bit better: the Kuey Teow is extremely salty and the sausage adds an odd flavor (again, this is pretty authentic, but it's also an acquired taste). You can order from a screen anywhere in the food court and they will text you when your order is ready. After my travels in Malaysia, I fell in love with Malaysian and Southeast Asian cuisine.  So, coming to the brand new Resorts World in Las Vegas, and Googgle Man's specifically, was a no-brainer. Just don't expect the same prices as you'd find in Malaysia.  You're at a spanking brand new Las Vegas casino resort, not at a hawker stall in Malaysia.  So, let's have realistic expectations. Googgle Man's originates from a popular hawker stall in Penang known for Char Kuey Teow. Apparently, the name comes from the chef who supposedly wears goggles while stir frying.  I haven't seen anything outside of the hawker stalls in Southeast Asia that come remotely close to the heat and soaring flames they've got flaring up places like Malaysia or Singapore. It's truly amazing that any of the cooks have any body hair or eyebrows still intact. They've definitely got some flame action going on here, but not quite the same. Every time I've stopped by, they were sold out of the Char Kuey Teow, so I ended up getting the Hokkien Noodles by default. But all's well that ends well.  I was pretty happy with the Hokkien noodles.  The texture of the noodles were good, and I liked the tiny bits of crispy pork. Nicely flavored without being overly salty. Okay, this wasn't EXACTLY as you'd find in Malaysia, but it's a decent rendition with the the "wok hay" (a Cantonese term coined to describe the aroma that comes from wok stir-frying at extremely high BTU's).  It's something that's virtually impossible to duplicate at home. After enjoying these noods, my reaction was more of a "yahoo!" Googgle Man's Char Kuey Teow is a Malaysian fried noodle concept that shares the Famous Foods Street Eats concept with various other businesses in the newly opened Resorts World Las Vegas. It's one of the more true-to-hawker-stall concepts here because it only offers two menu items, one being the namesake and the other being what I actually tried. Hokkien Noodles ($15): soy marinated pork, shrimp, yu choy, oyster sauce, crispy pork, Shanghai noodle. Huge punch of flavor in every bite, properly cooked jumbo shrimp, tender pork, and slick noodles. Frankly, a bit too greasy and a bit one-note in its sweetness, but I could slurp down so many of the noodles regardless. Far from the most overpriced option here, Googgle Man's Char Kuey Teow is definitely worth a visit if you're planning to sample multiple foods from the rest of the food court. Based on my experience, I would be willing to try the other noodle dish the next time I'm here. read more

Googgle only has two options from you to choose from: Char Kuey Teow $15 - rice noodle, Chinese sausage, manila clam, prawns, crispy pork, egg, and bean sprouts Hokkien Noodles $14 - soy marinated pork, shrimp, yu choy, oyster sauce, crispy pork, Shanghai noodle We went around 530PM and they were already out of the Hokkien Noodles or perhaps they didn't have it to begin with. Therefore, we got the Char Kuey Teow instead. I think they were severely backed up that day so it took a while for us to get our food. When we did get it, it seemed very lacking and skimpy. The noodles were very broken up -- it was in pieces. There were maybe 2-3 pieces of shrimp. There was two pieces of Chinese sausage. There was no crispy pork and no manila clams. The flavor was a little lacking as well ... it had a kick to it but that is about it. The quality, however, was really nice. Overall, I don't think it was worth it and they were clearly not ready for opening since they were missing ingredients in the dish. I wish they would have informed us that they didn't have certain ingredients. I wouldn't recommend ordering from them as there are better options in the food hall. read more

The restaurant is located in the food court at Conrad hotel. much like all the restaurants here, there is a limited menu. However you won't complain about it once you taste these delicious noodles. The noodles have that "wok" taste in them which comes from too many noodles being made in the wok which adds to the flavor. I would definitely recommend this place if you are ever at the Conrad.
