Sean has never deviated from that 2-hour window which means I don't have to waste a lot of time sitting at home wondering when the technician is coming. I had discontinued my bait station service several months ago but I recently noticed droppings outside near my trash cans. Prior to this month's service, I texted Sean on a Friday to let him know about it. He replied within an hour and when he came out Monday he identified the droppings as rat and lizard and refilled the bait stations. Bottom line; great communication skills, responsive, knowledgeable and affordable. I definitely recommend Valkyrie Pest Control.

With that in mind, I can honestly say that Bre and Oscar are perfect examples of the kind of people every business wants to have. I've had a 3 year problem with termites in my walls. Call it a nervous breakdown, it was very hard to sleep and feel safe! For three years!! The owner of the building was friends with a family member, so I couldn't handle this *major* problem legally. My family member asked if they would have my place treated, and their first response was for her to tell me 'termites are everywhere, it's not a big deal'. After asking again, they agreed to have a 'name brand' company come to inspect. That person only looked around my room and said there was no problem. Even with all the pin holes and peeling paint. So to make me happy, the owner had them come do their cheapest treatment, foaming my walls. In the two years prior to this, I learned more about termites than I ever thought I would. Two things: 1. I knew foaming only my walls wouldn't work because there are six units in this building. 2. I know more about termites than the person who came to spray my walls does. Scary fact! This worked for three weeks, and then I started hearing them again. If you look up 'termite head banging', you'll know what I'd been hearing every day for two years! The owner said that's the best they can do. Wrong. According to city laws all rental units with an insect/rodent infestation are considered uninhabitable. Social Security doesn't pay enough to live on, so I arranged my life in a way I could start saving to make this go away! I looked here for a highly rated termite/pest control company and found Premium, with the full 5 stars in every review. I called them and Bre was a delight. She even showed empathy for how long I'd been dealing with this and all the sleep I've lost because of it. She was genuine and I felt great about her. A quick appt. was made and then Joel showed up. I didn't know he was the owner. After five minutes he asked me to go outside with him and he showed me clear evidence of termites (frass) in a circuit box below my window, then showed me a large hole where the stucco and roof meet. A hole going right into my ceiling. The other company didn't see these issues, but they also didn't really pay attention or look in every possible place. Joel told me what would work, and Oscar came to treat it within a few days. He was very nice and showed me exactly what he would be doing inside and out. It all made sense. He had to come back to finish one area. When he finished to whole area I heard nothing. WOW! I had to get used to sleeping again in a quiet room! I have a 2 year guarantee I won't hear them again. The technician came and left a trap which as far as I can tell has been very infective. Given that I called to schedule an inspection. The time I was give my the coordinator was not conveyed to the technician as I waited 1/2 a day for him to contact me. It took 5 calls to the company to get a callback over a VOIP connection that was barely intelligible. The coordinator was able to get me in touch with the technician whose window for my appointment was 12 hours (as opposed to the 4 hour window I was given. While the scheduled services work well... communication (at last as of late) is sorely lacking and difficult. I would proceed with caution and am considering taking my business elsewhere as a result of this interaction. ADDENDUM: within an hour of placing this, the technician, Leon arrived. He provided a careful review of the situation and prepared a very reasonable plan to handle the issue. Customer service also called and apologized and acknowledged the error. It was good to see that the company was very responsive given what happened. They did right by me and I will continue my business with them.

Mike from Grayson immediately gave us peace of mind. He was kind, honest, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. What really stood out was his honesty. He actually recommended that we not do termite treatment because it wasn't necessary. He pointed out that what I thought was termite damage was actually wood rot caused by malfunctioning gutters. That level of integrity is rare and instantly earned our trust. He answered all of our questions thoroughly and took the time to educate us instead of trying to scare us into expensive unnecessary work. As first-time homeowners, that meant a lot. Once everything was completed, we genuinely felt relieved and much more comfortable moving into the house. He quoted us a very fair and reasonable price for remediation and pest work, which included cleaning and disinfecting an affected area, repairing screens, setting traps, and multiple follow-up visits. They even gave us a slight discount for using them after the inspection. Nick Grayson, the owner, and Domingo came out on a Saturday to help clean and prep the property because our movers were arriving Monday. That alone says a lot about the company. Nick mentioned he's been doing this for over 20 years and it absolutely shows -- no BS, no scare tactics, no upselling, just fast, honest, high-quality work. I joked that he must really hate pests at this point and Domingo happily replied that he's been exterminating for over 30 years. They arrived on time, ready to work, and got everything done quickly while still being extremely thorough. They also treated our home and property with a lot of respect during cleanup, which we really appreciated. Since they treated the property, we genuinely haven't seen a single insect. The treatment was also pet safe, which was really important to us -- we only had to leave the house for about an hour or two. They also have a dedicated office person coordinating scheduling and relaying information, which made communication smooth and easy throughout the process. That said, these guys are clearly in high demand and now I understand why. Give yourself at least a couple days if you want to book them because truly honest companies that do quality work at fair prices are hard to find. If you're a first-time homeowner and can get on their schedule, you can absolutely feel safe trusting them with your inspection and treatment needs. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews. I understand accidents happen, projects don't always go as…read moreplanned, and I'm generally willing to give companies the opportunity to make things right. Unfortunately, this was, without question, the worst contractor experience I've ever had. I found Green Rodent Restoration through Nextdoor after seeing their positive reviews and the mention of potential SCE rebates. Although I later learned I didn't qualify for the rebate, I decided to move forward because the estimate and scope of work made sense. Rony was very thorough in explaining the process. During the attic work, including the insulation installation, my home sustained three separate areas of ceiling damage, including one where a worker stepped completely through the ceiling. When I raised my concerns, the foreman suggested it was because there weren't enough boards in the attic for the crew to walk on. As the homeowner, I hired professionals because I expected they knew how to safely perform this type of work. Before the crew left, I was told the attic fan would need to be rescheduled because of an issue. This only came up after they had already asked me for payment. Had I not pushed back, I believe they would have left without completing a major part of the project. When I questioned it, the foreman was dismissive rather than taking ownership of the situation. What disappointed me most was the lack of respect for my property. The crew shook a blanket full of insulation and debris into my front yard. When Green Rodent Restoration sent a contractor to repair the damage, the experience didn't improve. The contractor used my bathroom without cleaning up afterward, dumped dirty mop water containing soap and debris into my front yard, left drywall dust throughout my home, and I later discovered fresh scrapes on my staircase railing that were not there before. While the ceiling repairs are better than the original damage, they still don't look like a professional finished product. The cleanup and overall attention to detail also fell well below what I expected. In my opinion, Green Rodent Restoration should have had a supervisor or foreman present while the restoration work was being completed to ensure it was done properly. Communication afterward has been equally disappointing, and I have had to follow up repeatedly throughout this process. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Green Rodent Restoration. My advice is to take your time, compare several companies, and don't make your decision based solely on reviews or the possibility of rebates. I only wish I had shopped around more before making my decision.
