The first time I used Gopher Wars, all went well. However, I paid up front (at their request) for more visits then I ended up needing. I was told I would have credit with the company if I needed them again. I need them now. Over the past few weeks, I have tried contacting them through the website, by leaving a voice mail, sending a text, and finally sending an email. I have had no response whatsoever. I feel like I have been robbed, inasmuch as I have paid for service I have not recieved. I will now have to hire someone else. read more

After multiple follow-ups to reach him, we did get a response apologizing and that he would be out in the next couple of days, but never showed unfortunately and we are back to no response again - and the remaining gopher issue still. read more

Excellent service! Derek knows where to set traps and how to catch gophers! I was having an infestation of gophers and was at my wits end. I had tried the poison pellets from Home Depot and the ultrasonic gopher repellent. Didn't work. I heard they didn't like strong smells, so I put lavender and peppermint essential oil drops and sprayed air freshener into the places with activity. Didn't work. I set a couple of traps myself. Didn't catch any. But, I called Derek and he has been solving my problem (nightmare). So far he's caught about 7 or 8 gophers on my front yard, back yard, and backyard hill. Noticed more gophers after a couple weeks after my service was done. Derek did not care and was basically charging full price again (he had previously told me if this ever happened he would charge me a lot less). I just had a very upsetting interaction with Derek. It was his 3rd visit, and he did successfully trap 2 gophers; hence 2 stars. He came by, however, with a very defensive, argumentative attitude because I had asked him questions about his prior visit which he assumed meant I didn't trust him. Truth be told, I was just interested in understanding what goes into the process of trapping gophers, as I hadn't seen the traps or the dead gophers up close. This time I did see the gopher he trapped, and I believe he knows what he is doing. Highly recommend Derek. Here's the story: We bought our home about 2 years ago. We bought it with the exterior being pretty much all dirt in the backyard. This was due to the prior homeowner letting the grass die. Fast forward to recently, my wife and I finally decided to fork out the cash and lay down fresh sod to return the backyard to its former glory. Sure enough, within 1 month's time, some gophers conveniently made their way to our new green lawn.
