Tried to take my RV in for a wheel bearing inspection. Was told just to bring it in and get in line cuz they don't do appointments. Asked for a quote and was told they didn't do quotes cuz "it's always more anyway ". Then the advisor ridiculed me for wanting to have the job done, saying if there is no leakage from the seal it's "probably " OK. Also said I should replace all the bearings even if they're OK just because I was paying the labor to inspect them. He ended up telling me he didn't mean to scare me off, but I left with the impression they were not interested in listening to the customer, or doing the job, --just charging the most money possible. I really wanted to have this work done by freghtliner, but he convinced me they are the wrong people for this job. Management should know people are coming in ready to spend money but are being told "why are you concerned with the wheel bearings on your 24 year old coach, they're probably fine". read more

we have not any communication on their end we have to call multiple times to get estimates and work being done. the prices are 2 to 3 hundred percent higher than other places. I feel like they are holding our home for ransom. it's been going on for months. read more

He kept me updated without even asking which was a first for me. They also were able to fix in one day what have taken multiple freightliners a total of weeks to find out. I had them look at my motorhome. I had no idea what they were about to charge me, just to tell me there was a leak in the ac. Then I had them show me where the leak was. That cost me even more money. They suck. I will not go back. 500$ and they didn't fix anything. They wanted me to give them the go ahead for thousands of $$. I called 2 ac shops and they both said they could fix it for under 100$ no problem!! Freightliner is charging way to much money for the technicians to type into the computer. read more

We have been working with Freightliner NW, Pacific WA to repair our fleets over 6 years. The majority of the their staffs are kind and it's a pleasure to work with them. But on last Friday the experiences that pickup our bus is very disappointed. That bus was replaced a main power fuses and at the time we pickup the service advisor try to charge us 13 hours for labor and that's about $4000 in total. Our staff ask her to recalculate the cost she declined arrogantly. And we asked to speak with her supervisor and she told us there is not any supervisor or manager available to talk with us on that day. Our buses are commercial vehicles and we would like to pay the invoice first to pickup the bus but we would still like to talk with their supervisor about this experience. She is very angry and refused our payment by credit card and asked us to pay wire transfer. We have been working with them over 6 years and we always pay our invoices by credit card. Even during the COVID-19 the most difficult time we never owe any debt to them. It was a naked discrimination without any respect and damaged our 6 year business relationship and trust. Because we can't reach out to any other supervisor to pickup our bus during the weekend. We feel very heartbroken due to our bus couldn't back to work and her behavior. Our motorhome quickly developed a bad vibration. We stopped at a tire shop, but they thought tires were good. We were 2000 miles from home. But we were a few miles from Freightliner Northwest. When I called, they said they were several days out for servicing it, but since Freightliner manufactured it, I wanted them to service it. So, we limped it over there and explained the situation. They were slammed with business, but the service manager said he could possibly have a technician look at it. He did, and, after 2 hours checking it, found nothing. Their prices are crazy high, but it's Freightliner--always has been expensive. The money spent gave me peace of mind to drive it to a tire shop. The good rating is for getting me in quickly and not delaying our vacation. read more

Freightliner chassis Motorhomes beware of Freightliner Northwest, they will rip you off. I had always gone to Freightliner NW for service since I purchased my Class A. I just returned from our Winter trip and as normal I took our rig in for the oil change and service. I wanted the M2 30,000-mile maintenance preformed this time, so as I'm dropping it off, and I ask approximately what the charges would be. They scratched out the $920.00 printed price on the maintenance listed items and said $1,500 to $2,000 plus oil and parts. Now my last 0il change and service was $600.00 so I left it with them and thought this isn't right. They told me it would be a week before they touched it. I call Freightliner service centers in OK, TX, CO, and even CA and everyone was between $700 and $900 for the same package of service I was going to receive. So, I called the Freightliner NW the next day to make sure I had heard them correctly. The person at the service desk said yes, they would be charging at least $1,500 to $2,000 plus oil and parts. Why the 200% to 300% increase? I was told no reason other than Corporate said to, (greed). They know they will lose customers, but many will just pay anyway. You don't have to. Most locations I called said they would have me in and out in one day. If they needed extra time then they had power pedestals outside for overnighters. Freightliner Northwest said one week and no overnighters. I checked Indeed website to see employee input and the sites shows several unhappy techs complaining about bad management and worse moral. I will never use Freightliner Northwest again and I'm submitting this warning to every forum I'm on. read more

Had my front brakes replaced on my spartan chassis motorhome. They found a cracked rotor on one side, they ordered and replaced it, price was as expected for this type work. The first trip out I noticed the oil bath hub was leaking, I took it in to them, they replaced the hub at no charge. read more

Stay away if you can. Unfortunately, they are one of the very few shops equipped to do frame work on large vehicles. Their shop foreman "Casey" quite frankly is a liar. He will have absolutely no compunction about lying right to your face. I dealt with them one time myself on my own vehicle. They did work that was unauthorized on one of my vehicles that had work sublet there by my dealer which placed me in an awkward position where the dealer did not want to confront Casey or risk jeopardizing their relationship with them. This has now compromised my relationship with my regular dealer as I had to be very assertive to get the matter corrected. This is one of the major reasons the work is so shoddy there...the communication (or lack thereof). It's managements fault. Period. Shit rolls downhill. Until they (at least) unload this Casey character, keep them out of the loop whatever the cost. It might cost you $1000 to tow your vehicle to Portland (or wherever). It's worth it. I am a former Porsche/Mercedes Technician, Dealer Service Advisor, Service Manager and finally Mobile Tool Dealer. I've been into damn near every vehicle repair shop from Tacoma to Bellingham on the I-5 Corridor. These guys are at the bottom of the barrel. read more

I should have read the reviews before I took my freightliner coach in for service. I purchased a used diesel pusher and brought it in for a complete fluid/filter service including engine, transmission, generator and differential. The bill came to $2,832, steep but not my biggest concern. While in for service I asked them to check the faulty chassis AC unit and they gave me a quote of $1,200 claiming the door actuator was bad and it required disassembling the dash to replace. I was charged $130 for the diagnosis. Fortunately for me the part was two weeks out and I had a trip scheduled the following week, I declined the repair. After returning from my trip I decided to tackle the AC myself. I downloaded the manufactures troubleshooting guide and diagnosed the problem as a bad water control valve. I purchased an original manufactures replacement part for $150 and installed it in less then 10 minutes, two screws and a electrical connection. It was mounted on the firewall directly behind the front hatch. I'm not a mechanic, all in I spent about an hour of my time researching, troubleshooting and replacing the part. Freightliner NW either did not actually diagnose the problem and just through some money at it, was incompetent in their troubleshooting or worst yet, tried to scam a customer. We took our truck in to Freightliner NW on 1/16/17 to have them look at a noise coming from the transmission. They claimed it needed rebuilding and we agreed to have the work done. We paid 6324.12 and picked it up on 1/26/17. Shortly after we took delivery we noticed the same grinding noise coming from the transmission and took it back to Freightliner NW. The shop seemed to not take any responsibility before they touched it and asked for my "authorization" to take it apart and inspect it. When they did inspect it they REFUSED to warrant their work, stating the noise and damage was due to "driver abuse". ( The same driver had been driving it for 5 years without any problems whatsoever). On top of their blatant refusal to repair their failed workmanship, they charged me 1028.97 for tearing it down to inspect it! Disgusted, I took it to another dealer in Tacoma, who after carefully looking at the transmission stated that the transmission was ABSOLUTELY NOT DAMAGED by driver abuse! It is no surprise that Freightliner NW only has a 1 star rating. Being in the trucking business for over 40 years, I have never dealt with a company that was as completely unprofessional as Freightliner NW. read more

Had brakes done there 6 months later brakes failed, then had them redone. At the 8 month mark same falure happen then call to see if we could get fixed told bring it in. Brought truck next day. Was told that they could not fix it. I would not recomend this shop. read more

My motorhome's ABS light was continually on, so I took it to Freighliner to have the problem corrected. After 4 days they got back to me to let me know I needed the ABS module replaced - ($1300 parts + $960 labor). (I was able to buy the part myself for $900) They also did a "courtesy" inspection and informed me I needed a new exhaust manifold ($900 parts + $3,800 labor), a power steering hose ($168 parts +$480 labor) and an air filter ($60 parts + $160 labor). On top of that they billed me $192 for doing the "courtesy" inspection. A grand total of $4672 for just labor. I'm no mechanic but those prices seemed way high to me, so I called Cummins to see what they would charge for the same repairs. Cummins assured me they could do everything for under $2000 for parts and labor. I declined all service from Freightliner except the ABS module (since they already had 3+ hours of labor into the job). After installing the new ABS module Freightliner called me to let me know the ABS light was still on, and they needed me to authorize even more labor time for the repair. At that point I told them to just stop what they were doing. I picked up the coach and took it to Cummins, who did a great job completing all of the service in one day. Cummins charged me only $917 for the labor Freighliner had estimated at $4692. My total bill from Cummins came to $1700 for parts and labor, including diagnosing that Freightliner had wired the new ABS unit incorrectly! read more

Came in on Thursday to replace $28 fuel check valve on Thursday. Paid $221 to have it incorrectly installed. Towed back to Valley on Friday $800. Saturday spent $1050 for same problem. Towed back on Saturday $1,000. I was told fuel technician would be back to work on tuesday. Assistant service manager said fuel check valve was installed wrong. paid $550 to have check valve installed correctly on tuesday. Valley Freightliner refused to pay for downtime or towing. Will not return to any Valley Freightliner family dealer and do not recommend them to anyone. read more
