I stopped coming here but I used to love it. I'm not entirely sure what happened during spring of 2023 but it started getting really out of order. They mess up my order (literally a bagel with cream cheese) every time I go in or they write it down and forget altogether and I end up standing in the crowd of people for 20 minutes before they realize. They're out of almost everything by 9 AM and have double charged my credit card several times. I started off having a lot of patience because there's a lot of high school kids that work there but after they laid off all but 2 or 3 people and disconnected the phone line it became obvious the place isn't really staying afloat. We tried Mr. Bagel for the first time and we're so glad we did! Our breakfast was delicious and the price was VERY reasonable. It makes you feel good when you go out to eat and the food taste like homemade, the staff was very friendly and the wait time was not long at all. On a Sunday morning around 9 am, how can you be out if everything bagels and low in everything else. The bagels tasted like day old bagels and one bagel was pieced together. The cashier needs some serious customer service training. Not only was she rude, but she handled bagels without gloves on. Very disappointed and dissatisfied! read more

The bagels here were good. There are several Mister Bagel locations in the area and each location is independently owned and operated. A breakfast and lunch menu is served here which includes a decent variety of bagels & spreads, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, eggs, 3-egg omelets, French toast, pancakes, paninis, wraps, cheeseburgers, salads, and sides. They also offer real maple syrup, plus Red Bull drinks in the cooler. For the pooch, they offer "doggie bagels" too! The prices seem fair and similar to other bagel shops in the area, bagels w/o toppings are $0.95 (1), $4.95 (6), $8.89 (12); bagel with plain cream cheese $2.49, most lunch sandwiches $5.89-$6.89. I stopped in at the Gorham Mister Bagel (looks like a typical house) on a recent Saturday morning to pick up a half dozen bagels. The place was fairly busy, as the cozy dining room (table seating & hard booth seating) was almost full of hungry diners having breakfast and there was also a short line at the takeout counter. For bagels, I picked out cinnamon raisin, onion, everything, plain, wheat, and tomato basil. The bagels were not the puffed out kind I'm used to having, which had a soft and very chewy texture inside, but were good for the most part. I especially enjoyed the cinnamon raisin bagel which had plenty of raisins and also the tasty tomato basil bagel. I would stop here again for breakfast since I pass by this location often on my way to Westbrook and Portland. read more

If only they would pay attention to what you order and not mess it up every time. Not once, not twice, not three times ... we ordered 4 breakfast sandwiches this morning and they messed up each one again. I keep trying because the sandwiches aren't bad and it's very close to work but it's beyond irritating when they still keep screwing up the order. Not to mention they don't take food safety seriously at all. Last I checked you are suppose to wash your hands and put on gloves when touching food. I have been going there faithfully for years at least once a week, sometimes more. I ordered food to go the other day and when I arrived to pick it up, I realized my wife used my credit card and forgot to put it back in my wallet. I asked to pay by check as I had no cash on me, and they said no. So instead of taking a check for under $10 from a regular customer, they said no and threw my food away. I travel to Gorham from NH. We often come here for breakfast. It's a great small town diner vibe, with a great selection of breakfast food.

We've gotten takeout here several times. The staff is friendly and the food has a greasy diner vibe. But when political stickers criticizing our Governor appeared, that was the last they'll see of us. Gov. Mills' approval rating has been as high as 67%, so you're on the wrong side of public opinion. Businesses have to aware of keeping customers by not becoming political. read more

The store closes at 1 pm. But at 11 am on a Sunday morning, they were OUT of bagels. And this consistently happens, every single day. Oh sure, they may have a few garlic or salt bagels left (ugh) but if you don't show up well before 9 am, forget about ever getting a sesame bagel. Apparently the owner chooses to pay his staff out back to NOT cook bagels, and to pay his staff out front to stand there for hours telling perplexed and angry customers they have no bagels. They should change the name from Mister Bagel to Mister Disappointment. read more

Excelent customer service. I ordered a 2 egg breakfast that came with toast, home fries and sausage. When i received bacon instead of sausage i couldn't even be upset ! The bacon was REAL and fresh. Later a server came out, with out me asking, to hand me the sausage they mistakenly didn't give me. Whole breakfast for under 5$ read more

My friends and I go here almost every Friday and Saturday morning. We always walk in dressed like pieces of garbage and the cashiers and cooks are always nice and respectful to us. Our food has always been cooked perfectly and has cured many of our hangovers. We love Mister Bagel! read more

Just witnessed one of the food preparers crack an egg on the griddle. Then wipe her hands on her shirt from the raw egg whites. Then grab bagels from the toaster and out cream cheese on them as handle muffins. Is that NOT cross contamination ???? read more

This place continues to go down hill in cleanliness and service. I go in almost every Sunday, for an everything bagel. If I don't make it in 2 hours before they close, they are usually sold out, as they were today and the previous 5 Sundays. You can't assess that? You run out this week, add 5 to the par for Sunday morning. It's October 23rd and the amount of flies looks like a landfill in August. Everything is sticky. There was one person in line before me. It took 14 minutes for me to order and get my order. I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese. Apparently, the way they work is to completely finish the prior order before starting the next, even though my order required cutting a bagel in half and throwing it in the toaster. Finally, we're in New England and 2 employees are not wearing their uniform, instead one's wearing a Giants t shirt, the other a Steelers. Really? Dirty, poor service and pain in the butt slow teens supporting 2 of New England's least liked competitors? I'm all set.
