Gosch Ford Collisions overwhelming number of positive reviews was what enticed me to bring my vehicle (which was involved in a hit and run) necessary for repair to their shop. The reason for my overall rating is due to one specific individual I had the displeasure of dealing with. His name is Ben Burgeson who is one of the estimators for the company. For clarity, I had no trouble with any of the other associates who work for Gosch. They were very respectful, nice and transparent. Mr. Pablo Lopez (the manager) and Mrs. Marci (the assistant) were not only kind but showcased their empathy towards my predicament with Ben. I issued a phone call to speak with Ben five days prior to the thirty-day deadline completion mark. During this time, I was told by Ben my vehicle was ready for paint. In the midst of my excitement, my mother decided to stop by Gosch unexpectedly to see the progress of my car. My mother arrived at Gosch to speak with Ben. To her surprise, Mr. Pablo and Ben appeared. They begin to speak car term gibberish to each other and my mother. My mother politely asked to see my vehicle. At this point, Mr. Pablo left the scene and Ben proceeded to show my mother my car. Once shown, it appeared my vehicle was not ready for paint. The damage was still the exact same. My mother took pictures, showed me the results and I was livid. I sent an email to Mr. Pablo and attached the photo my mother took and asked, "is this ready for paint?" I also stated that I was not going to pay for additional days for a rented vehicle. Mr. Pablo told me he would look into this and get back to me. I then contacted Ben because he was my initial estimator. His story has now changed because he was caught. His fabricated story was that he was gone for a week. I asked him if, "work comes to a halt when you're gone?" His response was, "that's just the way it is." Please be aware of this estimator. I showed nothing but maturity, kindness and patience towards Ben, yet when dealing with a compulsive liar, it can be extremely difficult handling these types of people. I made it my duty to write down every single word he told me along with pictures that were taken to have proof of his false statements. In conclusion, my vehicle was completed and paid for. If I could, I would rate my assigned estimator a 1 out of 5-star rating if not lower. It's too bad that isn't an option because I would have the pleasure in doing so. I have no tolerance for callous or unethical people and Ben revealed these specific traits. I acknowledge Mr. Pablo and Mrs. Marci for their cooperation in covering my rental expenses and speeding up the process to complete the repair of my car. For anyone who took the time to read this, I wish you the best of luck with Gosch and to avoid the estimator Ben Burgeson at all costs. So happy to have been referred to this business!!! I got a brand new car in October and by December a semi managed to ruin my new car excitement :( The truck slowly rolled into my new Mazda CX-5 on the 91 freeway in traffic. I called AAA immediately and they referred me to Gosch. They made me feel so comfortable. Literally everyone I ran into was so nice and ready to help me. Fernando made me feel at ease about the whole process. The front desk person was also very sweet! They let me keep my car until the parts arrived and that was wonderful because I did not have rental insurance. When it was time to drop it off they even offered to pay for a service to take me back to my job. I literally hope I never need to use them again....but in the event that I need to I will definitely be here and nowhere else!!! A little over 2 years ago my Honda Civic was towed here by my insurance company for front end repairs after a no fault collision. The repairs came out to about $4,500 and were completed within the time frame specified. The work was decent and I was not unhappy with it. Upon acquiring my vehicle one of the shop employees went over everything that was replaced and pointed out the "A/C" was also replaced and had a "lifetime warranty" with them (Gosch). Fast forward those 2+ years and the A/C takes a dump just as the SoCal summer heat begins (sounds about right, eh? lol). I schedule an appointment, which was a breeze and timely, to take it in. Upon arrival I hand over the keys and explain the A/C issue, and hung out in the waiting room (which I quite nice, BTW). Waited nearly 2 hours, which seemed excessive, but what the heck. The technician returns with the bad news - they conducted a seal leak test and the condenser is loaded with refrigerant and no leaks; and it tested fine. The problem I am told is with the compressor (which sits down lower in the engine compartment), which was not tested by them because that part was not replaced during the initial body repair. So, basically, I was shit out of luck with the lifetime warranty aspect. I was informed they could do the repair / replacement at their shop or take it to my own mechanic. They were honest enough to tell me I would save hundreds of dollars by taking it to my own mechanic. Even then I was looking at a $850 - $1,200 bill to replace this part. I thought, screw it! I only drive this car periodically and I just won't deal with it during the summer months. I did not want to sink that kind of money into a scooter car that was over 10 years old. A few weeks later I'm chatting on the phone with my mechanically inclined brother and I mentioned the issue. He, of course, tries to talk me into driving the rig to his place (out of State) in the near future to look at it (we are always trying to find excuses to visit one another lol). Of course that was out of the real question. He then inquires if the general fuse and relay clutch fuse were checked by the mechanic at Gosch. Of course I had no idea if that happened. He then instructs me on what to look for and how to check them. I knew what a standard fuse was and have checked them (and replaced a few) in vehicles for other reasons, but knew nothing about a clutch relay fuse. He explains it well and my lame, non-mechanic minded, self tackles this cumbersome (NOT) procedure. Low and behold, it turned out to possibly be a bad clutch relay fuse! I drove to my nearby auto parts store and purchased one for $6 plus tax! I swapped it out and the A/C started roaring once again! READ THAT AGAIN - $6 DOLLARS, GREEN BACKS, BUCKEROOS, whatever! My dear brother told me that it is common for mechanics to overlook most things "electrical" because he feels they perceive it as some "mystical" aspect of vehicle repair. He told me that had I even taken into my own mechanic that they would have just replaced the compressor, it still would not have operated and then they would have troubleshot it and discovered the relay fuse needed to be replaced. I still would have paid the big bucks for the compressor replacement and may never have known it was the fuse all along! Thanks little bro, you're a life saver! I am not going to bash Gosch over this with a a 1 star ratings, as some (or most) people would do. The body work they initially performed was okay. I think they just need to pay closer attention when trying to troubleshoot engine component problems and not be intimidated by the so-called "mystical" electrical possibilities. This could have caused me, or others (past and future), some serious heartache financially. I am actually wondering if they had replaced the fuse box area after the collision, as it was in the area of the direct impact my vehicle suffered. Hmmmmm? Oh well, who knows? All I can say at this point is - please encourage your mechanics / technicians to be more diligent and to think outside the box. read more

I'm so frustrated with these guys, nothing but headaches and stress. When they give you exact date, you expect it will done that exact date! Now, they had my car three days past that exact date! I've been having to work my work schedule around them, inconvenience people to take me!the day I was suppose to pick my car, after having to go to work early so I can get off early enough to get my car, they tell me my car is still having problems. Then the next day, making another arrangement after they said it will be done, apparently they took off the lift and found another problem, so now I have to make a third arrangement with my work and friends to take me, not knowing if my will even be done again. I will say, it was my lack of judgment to allow them to touch my car. Never will I take my car here again. They never explain things thoroughly! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! You are already stressed and going through enough with the collision, they just add more to it! Their lack of customer service and communication is very poor! And as I am going through other reviews, I'm noticing that the the customer service is thanking the good reviews but don't seem concerned and not caring on the customers who are having a bad experience. read more

I have a small dent in bumper so they will have to spend 3000 dollars to fix it. Then they will sell my car for maybe 9000. Really? It's a plastic bumper oh and the cover is about 150.00. I had to bring my car in to be repaired due to a hit-and-run fender bender. Pablo Lopez was assigned my vehicle. As we were going over the details, I had mentioned to him that my steering wheel was loose and I asked his opinion about it. (I had just purchased the vehicle second hand, it was loose before my fender bender). He said that after it was repaired he would send it over to Honda and have them check it out for me. I was incredibly grateful. Turns out my car was not safe to drive. Pablo gave me advice on what to say when going in to speak to the used car dealer. He even said it looked like something I could do myself but said he would be happy to fix it if I didn't. Took my truck in an it was repaired to my satisfaction and done in the same day. Took my FRS there. A pipe hit me on My bumper on the freeway. They said my car was totaled. Being a mechanic. There was no way it was. Took my car for a second opinion to Corona auto body. Them paying a $1700 plus storage fee. And very minimal estimate. Corona auto body was around $3200 plus the $1700 plus and Gosch losing some of my interior pieces. I cannot even begin to start with the issues that I have had with this place. I took my car in because it was in an accident and my insurance company (Geico) was covering repairs and the rental car for 30 days. According to both Geico and Randy Hilton the car should have been done in 10 days. 1. I continued to call Randy Hilton for weeks and almost never got a call back or able to get into contact with him. So I went down there to talk to him. While I was down there he would tell me that my car would be done by the end of the week. He told me this 3 weeks in a row. 2. On the 31st day I called them and complained to the manager there. Since I was told the vehicle would be done ten days after why is it now day 31. He told me it had taken so long because they continued to call Geico multiple times and got no response from them. He told me they were waiting on Geico for parts. When I called Geico the same day they told me that when the Gosch called (which was only twice) they went out the same day to talk to them. I called Gosch back to confront them and they said NOTHING!!! (LIE NUMBER ONE!!) Except that they will pay for my rental until the car is finished. I asked when it would be done and they told me 2 weeks from that day. They told me they would call if it was finished before then. 3. On day 45! I called them and they told me the car has been done for a week now. They told me that they have been calling, leaving voicemails and emailing me for the past week that my car has been finished. (LIE NUMBER TWO!!!!) I HAVE NOT received a single call email or voicemail. They then told me they will not pay for my rental car for the past week since my car has been finished. It is funny how the same thing the told me about Geico how they continued to call them and never got an answer from them was a lie, they told me the same thing! I asked them multiple times when did they call because i have no record of it, and again Randy Hilton told me "I called you on the 5th twice, on the 6th twice and once on the 7th." Yet i still have nothing from them. I am curious on how they had finished the vehicle and spoke to enterprise to tell them they are not paying for the rental a week ago, when enterprise DID NOT call me to tell me our rental car is up and they need it back. You would think enterprise would call me and let me know that no one is paying for the rental car any longer. All in all i will never be going back there. I WILL NOT deal with a company in which it's employees lie to customers! ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS!! read more

Several months ago, my car was damaged by debris on the freeway and my insurance recommended Gosch. Pablo did a great job communicating the repairs and timeline to me. He and his team made my car look like new. Just recently, something was hanging down from my car's underside and I thought that maybe they had left a few screws loose, not realizing that the loose or not-replaced screws occurred at my oil change, somewhere else. Nevertheless, Ben at Gosch took my car right in and replaced the screws free of charge. His customer service was excellent and his good sense of humor even got me to laugh.
