Crash Champions attempted to repair my car instead of recognizing that it should have been declared a total loss from the very first visit. They kept bringing me back to the shop for three months, only for the insurance company to ultimately deem the vehicle unsafe to drive and a total loss. I took the car to Crash Champions a second time, following the insurance company's instructions, to give them an opportunity to correct their mistake two months into this ordeal. Instead of fixing the problem, the shop attempted to conceal what had become an irreparable issue. During this attempt, my service writer called to update me, and I asked directly if I'd be satisfied with the work this time. Her response was that if I didn't like it, I could just bring the car back in. That shouldn't be the standard. Repairs should be done right the first time. Getting basic updates was a struggle the entire time. I'd call and be told the person I needed was in a meeting or at lunch, with hours passing and no callback. Twice I drove to the shop in person just to check on the status. What's worse, they tried to give the car back to me multiple times when it wasn't even safe to drive, putting myself and my family at risk. It was clear their team wasn't capable of handling this level of repair, and each "fix" was more of a band-aid than a real repair. After the third failed attempt, the manager, Ray, called to apologize. Instead of taking responsibility, he blamed the service writer, calling her "too green," despite the fact that she wasn't the one doing the actual bodywork or paint. He then offered to repair the car again and personally cover my rental and repair costs, basically asking to handle it outside of insurance. I declined. This experience was exhausting from start to finish. Crash Champions seems built around quick, low-cost patches instead of proper repairs or evaluations, and in my case their negligence cost me months of my time, immeasurable stress, and potentially worse had I not taken my car elsewhere for a second opinion and found out the vehicle was unsafe. read more

After getting into an accident, Crash Champions was one of the many companies pointed out by GEICO. We were able to immediately get an appointment for my vehicle and everything seemed to have gone smoothly from the time we came into their business to the time we picked it up. Upon entering there service desk was to the left and a nice little seating area to the right. Took only about a weeks time for the damage to my car to be fixed and it turned out great! They even did a nice detail job to my car inside and out! The person who assisted up at the desk and those on the phone were quite nice and helpful with any questions. If I could give zero stars, I would. I was assigned to Crash Champions by GEICO after an accident, and this experience was nothing short of a nightmare from start to finish. At drop-off, I was given a very polished speech about how amazing this body shop is, how they never keep vehicles longer than two weeks, how they communicate with customers almost daily, and how no parts are ordered without customer approval. None of that actually happened. I dropped my vehicle off on a Friday and was told I'd receive an update on total damage and repair timing by the following Wednesday. That update never came. The two representatives assigned to my claim both went on vacation while my vehicle was in their care, and despite repeated calls and voicemails, I never received a callback. No one at the shop could tell me what was happening with my car. To make matters worse, my vehicle was being left unlocked overnight on their lot. I received multiple alerts around 10 PM that all doors, including the hatch, were unlocked. That alone should be enough to make anyone run the other way. After getting nowhere, I contacted GEICO to file a complaint. Only then did I receive a response. The GM called, apologized, and promised my car would be washed, the gas tank filled, and ready for pickup by a specific date and time. That date and time was pushed back multiple times, and communication remained inconsistent and unreliable. I was given completely conflicting explanations for the delay. One employee claimed faulty parts were received from a Toyota dealership. Another said parts were never ordered and the issue wasn't discovered until calibration. To this day, I have no idea what actually happened. When I finally picked up my car: * The gas tank was empty (despite being promised it would be filled) * There were new marks on the exterior that were not there before * Interior leather damage from the accident that they said they would clean was untouched I am still waiting on a promised follow-up call from the GM. This shop lacks basic communication, accountability, and care for customer property. If you say you're going to call a customer, do it. If you promise something will be done, follow through. I believe Crash Champions caused serious additional damage to my car after my minor accident. The original accident was VERY minor -- I was going less than 10 mph on an on-ramp. Even insurance said the damage was mostly cosmetic. The main damage was the hood and grill. My hood still latched properly, there was no radiator damage, and only a slight crack to the radiator fan. I drove the car daily for 2-3 weeks after the accident, around 500 miles a week, with zero mechanical issues, warning lights, or strange noises. On Tuesday, March 31st, I took the car to Crash Champions, an insurance-approved shop, for an estimate. They kept it for a week and came back with a $7,000 repair estimate. Looking through it, I noticed they included repairs for parts that weren't damaged in the accident at all -- including the bumper, which already had old scratches from years ago and had NOTHING to do with this crash. At that point I decided not to move forward with repairs through them because I didn't trust the estimate and didn't want to pay a $1,000 deductible for inflated repairs. When I called to tell Crash Champions I was taking the insurance payout instead, the conversation immediately became passive aggressive. They repeatedly warned me how "hard" it would be to reassemble the car because parts were now "twisted up," which made zero sense considering the condition I brought it in. They also kept emphasizing the $500 reassembly fee and asking if I was "sure" I wanted to do that. My contract clearly stated no repairs would be performed without my approval. When my mom picked up the car for me, Crash Champions falsely told her the insurance company had totaled the vehicle -- which was completely untrue because I had already confirmed with insurance multiple times that it was NOT totaled and the payout had already been approved and mailed out. They also had her sign paperwork saying the vehicle was unsafe to drive unless repairs were completed, clearly to protect themselves from liability. The second I got the car back, I noticed issues that had NEVER existed before. The airbag warning light was suddenly on. There was a squealing noise while driving. Later I found a cracked rear rim that absolutely was not there before, and my front bumper -- which wasn't damaged in the original accident -- had severe new scratches and scraping. I paid Crash Champions $460 just to get my car back in WORSE condition than I brought it in. Then things kept getting worse. About 3 weeks later I started hearing noises from the rear while braking, followed by loud clunking noises from the front whenever I turned the wheel. The harder the turn, the worse the clunking. This car had been consistently maintained -- brand new tires in January, regular oil changes, inspections, diagnostics, and recent mechanical work. It was not falling apart before this. This week the clunking became constant. While driving home from work, my steering became unstable and my brakes started failing. I barely managed to get off the freeway safely before discovering my wheel had completely detached from the vehicle and was missing entirely. Crash Champions returned my car in unsafe condition and I fully believe their handling of my vehicle directly contributed to the dangerous mechanical failures that followed. read more

Brought the car in on a Monday and was told my car should be ready by that Friday. They couldn't figure out how to order the right bumper and cost me at least 3-4 unnecessary days of rental vehicle. Geico pointed me in their direction since they are a Geico preferred shop. I brought in my new to me 2024 Tundra which had picked up some purple paint or chemical from the road when I was driving. Dropped the truck off after getting a rental and all that. A week later get my car back and it looks good. Couple days later the stain seeped through their repair. Had to go back under warranty on the paint to get it repaired but went to a different shop this time because I didn't trust them. The other shop said they cut corners and didn't use a sealer. Wasted a lot of time between body shops and rental cars. Would not recommend. read more

My car was hit and I went here with my insurance, shortly after the the censor fell out on the bumper they replaced. I went through a whole thing to get it back to the shop to get it fixed. Now another censor fell out. Called to get the new issue fixed and they weren't able to accommodate my scheduling as I have 2 toddlers and no other transportation. Still waiting to hear back from the manager over a week later. Just not sure as to why it wasn't fixed right the first or second time. Really frustrating . Would not recommend this place. read more

We arrived an expecting to leave the keys but instead they left us sitting in the lobby and then told us the service technician could not evaluate our car because he was going to lunch. A first impression is everything. You can't trust a repair shop to provide a quality repair if you can trust them to value your time and appreciate your business. My husband and I were recently involved in a collision where an SUV hit us on the freeway. We made a claim through the other guys insurance and Farmers listed this shop as one they work with. We called last week to try and get our truck in. We were told they couldn't take the truck until July 3rd. We called a few other shops but honestly didn't want to go to any of them based on the amount of 1 star reviews. My husband called this shop back and was told he could bring it in right away...We told them we couldn't bring it in at the moment but we would call back when we are able to bring it in, the woman said no problem. Since he's been working overnight shifts and I'm home alone with 2 kids we couldn't bring it in until the next day. My husband calls them this morning and now they tell us they can't take the truck until July 9th!? How are they unable to take the vehicle they were willing to take A DAY AGO???? Crash champions actually had the lowest estimate and they could take it in soonest. I got in a car accident on March 15th and the whole side of our car was smashed by a Dodge Ram 1500 making an unsafe left turn. After working with the insurance, looking through Yelp/Google reviews we landed on Crash Champions. We were able to make an appointment for the next day that we found them, being March 23rd. We dropped off the car with Javier and he let us know they would be in touch with the estimate. After a few days the estimate was uploaded to our Geico app. I would say the communication could have been a little better as they had to move out the estimated completion date 6 times. We finally picked up the car on April 23rd as the damage was quite extensive. What also intrigued us about Crash Champions is they have a life time warranty on their work that they do. I went to this place after having an a minor accident and thought it was going to be a great experience. However it turned out to be the complete opposite. After several changes on completion date I finally received my vehicle. The exterior looked fine no complaints but my dash board on my Mercedes said blind spot inoperative. Brought it back and turns out they ordered and installed the wrong side view mirror. Now it's going to take longer to actually have my car repaired ! DONT bring your vehicle here . Great place to do business! I brought my vehicle in to have my bumper, radiator and condenser replaced and they did a outstanding job. Hugo was my main contact person and he did a wonderful job explaining what needed to be done to my car and kept me updated throughout the whole process, which only took 3 days! When I came to pick my car up, they explained my warranty and Hugo walked me out to my car to check out the work that was done. I brought my car into for a collision in July 2023. When I got my car back the battery was completely drained. They returned the vehicle to me running in the parking lot. I got home and I try to start my car and absolutely nothing. I end up calling a tow truck for a jump. He tells me the battery is completely dead and cannot be revived. Having to go to work the next day I buy a battery jump pack for $60 so I can drive from work to get a new battery the next day. I am able to finally find a battery for $280 and have it installed. Also after I picked up the vehicle the grill cover falls down and starts making this horrible grinding sound against my tire. I was able to get some industrial Velcro tape and rig it back up. Also on the passenger side mirror there is still a streak of paint from the vehicle I had a collision with. I had my insurance agent contact them at least three times just to be reimbursed for the battery. Every time my insurance agent reached out to them they basically said the checks in the mail. My accident was in July 2023 it know nearing the end of December and they still have not reimbursed me for the battery. read more

Several rocks hit my SUV while driving behind a large truck on the freeway. The rocks dented my hood, chipped my paint, & cracked my windshield. My auto insurance company recommended Pacific Elite and I'm sure glad they did! From the moment I called Pacific Elite I felt like I had found my new collision repair center. Steve was very customer service oriented .. very polite .. professional & knowledgeable. When I arrived to drop off the MDX the lobby was clean and I felt very comfortable waiting for my technician. The technician's name was Michael and he was very courteous, professional, and thorough. He explained the entire process and put me at ease explaining that he had a personal relationship with the insurance adjuster and would really push for a windshield from Acura (and not just any generic replacement). After my paperwork was finished Mike (the manager at the shop) offered to drive me home. He was wearing gloves and a mask and that put me at ease. He was extremely friendly and we had a very nice chat on the way back home. Come to find out we graduated from the same high school! So fast forward now a few days later (the car was estimated to be ready Wednesday, but was ready a day earlier), who calls AND emails me? Mike himself! He says, "Your car is ready.. ready for me to come pick you up?" Wow! Red carpet treatment!! We again had a very nice chat on the way back to the shop as if we had just picked up the conversation right where we last left off. When I saw my car it was amazing! First off they're only getting two stars because they came close to completing my car when they said +/- two days. Ok now the "completed" work. Extra scratches on top of the damage they were contracted to fix. Sanding residue inside the vehicle, overspray of clear coat on the windows,missed repairing some damage completely. The doors are now misaligned and hard to open or close. The cleaning of the outside looks like a hobo in the Walmart parking lot did it. read more

The reason I gave a low review for this place is because I was quoted the highest price here. When I spoke with the technician, I asked if there was a way that the dent could be hammered out without doing any other work to it. The tech said no, and that any repair they do will be a complete repair. However, the damage to my car was unique in that the paint damage was very minor and the dent was the only thing that needed to be taken care of. As stated in my previous review, I received lower quotes. I'll be more forthcoming and list them below: Collision Center of Temecula - $1300 (ins quote)/$1100 (out of pocket quote) Faith Auto Body - $1100 (ins quote)/$980 (out of pocket quote) San Marcos - $900 (average out of pocket quote) Riverside - $800 (average out of pocket quote) However, I ended up only paying $300 to have the dent repaired. I actually ran into a guy that did mobile dent repairs while I was running errands. He asked for $300 in cash and he was able to repair the dent and take care of the paint damage while I ran my errands. It took about 15 minutes. And I saved a $1000 by not going with a professional collision repair shop. When I'm critical of any business, it's because I've done the research and understand the dynamics of the busness a bit better than the average consumer/customer. What's interesting to note is that I was contacted by someone from the Collision Center of Temecula about my review. And now I see a comment from the owner attached to my review. I'm hoping everyone will have a better idea of why I gave a low review for this place without having services performed. I'm sure they do good work here, but in today's economic climate, price is more important than quality.
