Stopped by stand at Picklesburgh. Really tasty and perfectly cooked dill pickle potato pierogies. Owner and staff are deaf and easy to communicate with. Learned their pierogies are available at some local grocery stores, so will have to look for when shopping.

I want to try more of their flavors but the classics were not the best I've had, and just decent. I tried the potato pierogies. I found them at the Giant Eagle in Fox Chapel, and decided to try them out. It's possible that the food stand version in better. But, these were just okay. The dough was adequately thick, bordering on a bit too much. The potato on the inside didn't have a very creamy texture or flavor like some other places offer. Instead, it was dry. Flavor-wise, I wasn't too impressed. It did the trick and is certainly much better than frozen pierogies, but it doesn't compare to the many other pierogies I've had. There is an onion aftertaste when I eat these as well. All in all, these could be good depending on your preference, and I'm sure the food stand is much better than the Giant Eagle frozen version. But, I just wasn't too wowed by these. Next time, I will try a flavor like cottage cheese since it's a bit more unique.

The pierogies have great flavor with homemade dough and the filling is just as good. My favorite pierogie is filled with potato and cheddar. I eat Gosia's Potatoes once a year and I look forward to it. Grandma Charlottes recipe is authentic! The pierogies topped with caramelized onions and a dollop of sour cream are so good .

Absolutely beyond fantastic. I have been eating pierogies for 65 years and I still can't believe how good they taste!

Great pierogies with a big selection. None to eat on the premises though. Open to the public to buy frozen.
