Decided to give Got Rats another chance after the owner reached out stating that company improvements should make the service and communication process more seamless. He replied promptly and directly to messages and was easy to work with regarding scheduling and payment. Cesar and a small crew came to do the work, which took a full day, and they carefully covered my new (6 months old) carpet and hardwood floors. They also protected the clothes hanging in my closet (where access to the attic is located) from the dust and debris. Very meticulous and courteous crew! Cesar also sealed several gaps around my garage and laid sticky traps that I had purchased. He showed us photos of problem areas, and was honest when he said we did not require any expensive duct replacement (one of our registers in the house had some droppings) but only needs a small gap taped up. Roxanne reached out to me within a few days to schedule the weekly trap checks, which had slipped my mind. I brought up a couple things that came up after the work was done, and Roxanne assured me that those would be done at the first trap check. The rat proofing service they provided was top notch, and here's why: The owner's walkthrough and estimate of the premises was a lot more thorough than the other estimates I have received. Even if the job estimate may have incorporated some of the areas/premises/attics/roof, I felt more assured that their estimate incorporated what they assessed. Bear in mind that the estimates vary greatly in terms of how much the companies charge and what they charge it for. So you will want to ask each person questions you may have. They were not the cheapest, but I felt they would do the best job based on our needs. The worker that came to do the rat proofing job did a fantastic job. It was so thorough, and done so quickly despite the amount of work required. We had the crawl space, side storage room, checking attics. That included moving things out of the crawl space to do the rat proofing. All done in 1.5 days by one person. They came back on a regular basis (you make an appointment for the days/weeks they recommend each time), and would continue to monitor the various locations to make sure there has not been issues since the proofing. read more

They are punctual, take advantage of every minute( no time out of the day, answering texts on their cell phone ;)) and they are both courteous and friendly. When we had the rodent problem, they came immediately. We set up checks once a week for both the attic and under the house. And by the way, until Terry came, I didn't even know we had a rat problem!! I called him because there was a rat in the yard trunk in our backyard. He noticed that the screens that had been placed under our house had holes in them. As we walked around the perimeter of the house, he found that most of them had been chewed through. We hadn't heard a sound. They went under the house and replaced all of the screens. I figured that all of the rats had run just while they were under the house vacuuming, cleaning up the mess from the rats and placing the screens. Not so. We had a really great experience with Got Rats. Unfortunately we discovered a rat infestation in our attic, which is a pretty stressful thing to deal with, but their team made the whole situation much more manageable. They were also the most competitive as far as pricing. They handled everything from start to finish removing the old insulation, cleaning up the attic, trapping the rats, sealing up entry points, repairing damaged HVAC ducts, and reinstalling new insulation. While they were working, they were extremely clean and professional. They even set up a plastic barrier wall to keep the work area contained and used a large vacuum system to remove the old insulation. Afterward they thoroughly cleaned the space using Simple Green. From beginning to end they were fantastic to work with. Their turnaround time to get the job started was quick, and they kept things moving efficiently. What could have been a horrible experience was made much easier thanks to their professionalism and attention to detail. Would absolutely recommend these guys. Terry quoted us quickly on garage and crawl space abatement and prevention. Really appreciate that these guys give a warranty, and were able to schedule quickly! The team members they sent out were wonderful, checked with us on what to do along the way (is this trash?), and even organized a few things that we wanted to keep on our garage shelves. Turns out our roof space (calling it an attic is an overstatement) has rodent issues too, but they gave us a very good quote for cleaning, closing off any holes, and replacing insulation. It was the insulation replacement that drove up the price on that bit, but I'm not sure it had been updated since the house was built in the late 50s. Maybe that's part of why our electricity bills were pretty high, but for a full replacement of insulation it still seems like a good value. We'll see. Not only that, they respect specific requests you may have for example they have humane ways of catching these pests if you'd like them to. They cleared out ducting, tossed out any contaminated items in the garage and took it to the dumps, sealed up any areas that could potentially be entry points, and sanitized/sealed garage flooring as well as setting out traps. Before they left after setting out traps, a mouse already was caught meaning they had no where to go but out and progress was made immediately. They back their work with a warranty and if you feel something isn't right, Terry is happy to hear the feedback and resolve the matter. Even if he assesses the issue himself, whatever it takes to provide the best customer service is what he will do. I'm grateful for the service provided as the job was thoroughly completed and in a timely manner. I checked out 3-4 different companies for my attic rodent issue and ended up going with these guys. They had the best price and actually knew what they were doing. The tech found a hole by my roof during the first quote visit that every other company missed. I chose the more comprehensive package (cleaning out the old insulation + 4 follow-up checks + new insulation with a warranty). It's a bit more expensive but totally worth it. They spent 2 full days just cleaning and disinfecting. The best part is they didn't rush to put the new stuff in. After they vacuumed and disinfected, they set some traps, and nothing was caught during the first week. During the first follow-up check, I asked the tech to put out more traps just to be safe. They were totally fine with that and added more, and it worked! By the second visit, they had caught the big rodent and cleared it out. My neighbor had a different company do everything in one day, and the rats just came back and ruined the new materials immediately. Definitely go with the scientific "wait and see" way these guys do it. I saw some reviews saying they're late for the appointment window, but I'd just text them to check on the tech's ETA, and they always texted me when they were on the way. I really appreciate what Terry's team do. I had been having rat issue in my ac condenser and tried everything. Rats still love to live inside my ac unit. I decided to call around to see what we can do. The companies I called just said they can come out and set up traps and stuff. It's not really solving the issues cause I know more rats would come back. Others just didn't have good reviews. Terry's team recommended installing an enclosure for the ac unit. It makes sense.
