For the uninitiated, a bialy is like a bagel that died and went to heaven; once you have had the real thing, which is increasingly hard to come by, you probably won't even look at a bagel again. I got a cinnamon raisin bagel with egg & cheese, while my partner got a blueberry bagel with cream cheese. I also ordered a very berry smoothie as well. The cinnamon bagel was soft and freshly made. The blueberry bagel was the bluest bagel we've ever seen but very tasty! The smoothie was filling and you can tell the fruit was fresh, I was satiated! This is under new management. Nothing like the old management. This used to be a great place, with excellent service all around. You felt welcome. Under the new management, you come in... nothing. No greeting from anybody. They added online ordering for pickup, but it wasn't configured right. If you wanted a bagel with nova slices, cream cheese, tomato, and onion, the price was coming out to around $23, as each component increased the price. So I switched to ordering a bagel with cream cheese, and added 2 slices of lox as an add on. The order was supposed to be ready for pickup in 5 minutes. Came here on a Saturday to get three bagels with smoked salmon and cream cheese. They gave me two bagels with the smoked salmon and the third one is where they forgot to put in the smoked salmon. So I gave then the opportunity to make it right however, the so called owner does not know how to treat her customers. Sadly, the so-called owner does not know anything about customer service. Myself as a business owner when a customer is not happy at my establishment I do my best to correct the situation. I have had Gotta Getta Bagel twice now without stepping foot inside the establishment. One of my employees lives nearby and brought me a sandwich and and bagels on 1 different occasions. I will start with the bagels, spreads and lox. The bagels are delicious, crispy on the outside, seasoned well and not too much dough on the inside. The scallion cream cheese was excellent as was the thin sliced lox. The lox sandwich with cream cheese, lettuce tomato, red onion and capers was outstanding. Very generous sandwich to say the least. If I had to compare it to Michael's Bagels on Ascan, I liked their crunch better than Gotta Getta Bagel. But this is a decent option in the area and it is a little cheaper too. Their bagels are bigger, more doughy and the cream cheese is a little runnier. They give you a heads up that it will take a while to toast the bagel as they only have one oven. You can not sit down inside, they only allow take out. I ordered an everything bagel with there special cream cheese, there bagels are larger then most places you would buy a bagel from.and they give you alot of cream cheese. The cashier was very nice and courteous, only problem I had with my bagel it could have been a little bit softer. You think a place that gets free expansions due to covid by having a little hut outside would appreciate it and open it same time every day. 99% of people who go there in the morning, go on a schedule so you need to open on a schedule. You don't need to pay more tax on its use not more rent so be a solid and consistent business and open at the same time everyday. Update: It seems now they do open the outdoor seating every day at same time nice. But like many places, they are taking advantage of inflation by raising prices way above interest rates. I was at the AT&T store taking care of some business and got hungry. I stopped in for 2 bagels, 1 with butter, 1 with cream cheese. It turned into A Tale Of 2 Bagels. The bagel with cream cheese was excellent. There was plenty of cream cheese falling off the sides of the bagel. The bagel with butter wasn't even mediocre. Where I had copious amounts of cream cheese on Bagel #1, this bagel hardly had any butter. A good buttered bagel leaves your hands gooey. Not sure what happened to this place. This use to be our favorite place to go. Can anyone confirm if they changed owner? My wife and I recently went after not having gone for a long time. The bagels tasted bland and the tofo cream cheese tastes sour as if it was past it's time. The girls working the counter seemed confused and flustered with all the people trying to order and pay. As far as the ambiance goes it seems like there're trying to renovate while still making people food. So it's not very appealing. On a side not my wife and I also tried using the app "TooGoodToGo" a few days prior and even though we had made it on time to pick them up we found all of our bagels outside in the trash. Awful!! Got 2 lox and cream cheese for 30 dollars. Yup 30 dollars. There Is a sliver or lox paper thin and a dab of cream cheese. This has to be one of the worst bagles I've ever had. I will personally take my business else where! Please save your money. My wife is inviting on going back to complain but that ship has sailed. Forest hills bagels on Yellowstone is far far better and they are not cheap in there portions. I hope this review helps others. read more
