The line was not too long and I was helped right away. They had a rotating flavors of 6 different soft serves, but I opted for the classic vanilla and chocolate swirl. The soft serve itself was very creamy and sweet. I had it in a waffle coned topped with sprinkles. This really reminded me of my early childhood, enjoying a nice frozen treat (despite it always being cool in San Francisco). The soft serve held its shape rather well and did not melt quickly. There's usually a long line here, competing with the ice cream shop next to it, but I don't think I would wait in a super long line for soft serve. I would only go here if the line is reasonable or short. The servers have to work really quickly to get through so many orders so make sure you know what you want to get before getting to the front of the line. My partner and I shared a medium cup of the latte flavor. It wasn't full to the brim, but I think it was definitely bigger than the small size cup. The medium size was big enough for 2 to share. I wasn't a huge fan of the flavor - it was a little too sweet for me. But the soft serve itself was really nice and creamy, and I could clearly tell it was made with high quality ingredients. The soft serve flavors are limited to Vanilla, Dutch Chocolate, non-dairy versions of the aforementioned, Fior di Latte, & Salted Caramel. In hindsight, I should've gotten a swirl because while the Fior di Latte ($5.29) was rich & creamy, flavor was on the light side. My server asked if I wanted it "dipped," which I thought was odd, as I had ordered a cup instead of cone. I chose a cherry dip (+$1.39) which was topped onto a meager portion of soft serve that did not fill half the medium cup. The consistency was waxy & not especially reminiscent of cherry. The Orange Cream Float ($6.29) unfortunately was no better. Needed a bit more syrup to fully get that good orange taste but the soda was weak & watery. This place was good. There were tons of different burger types as well as an extensive beer list. I got a delicious burger with bacon and special sauce and my friend got the California burger with avocado and a fried egg. The fries were good, not the best ever but good. Came upon this little soft serve ice cream shop by chance while visiting the Pier. I got the fior di latte and hubby got salted caramel. The soft serve was so creamy and smooth, I dare say the texture is inconceivable. No ice crystals at all. The fior di latte had a rich milk flavor, and mildly sweet. The salted caramel was also well balanced and not too overpowering. I think this soft serve ruined me for all other soft serves. The bar has been set very high. There's option to get it in a cub, cone, or waffle cone, and I opted for the waffle cone. The salted caramel mixed with the for di latte was the perfect blend since 100% salted caramel may have been too much for me. It was thick and creamy, fresh, and very enjoyable. This is definitely a competitor to the other ice cream stand just across the ferry building hall. During our visit, the menu was simple with only six soft serve flavors. Those flavors included Vanilla and Dutch Chocolate made with Straus Family Creamery organic milk. Like Double 8, Straus farms are based in Sonoma County, as well as Marin County. The menu also had non-dairy soft serve made with Oatly oat milk. That's what my brother-in-law got, Oatly Chocolate soft serve (medium 6 oz for $4.99) in a waffle cone (+$0.99).
