I had been eagerly anticipating my visit to this restaurant, drawn in by the intriguing reviews and eager to share the experience with out-of-state friends. Arriving on a Sunday before the dinner rush, we were greeted by a simple yet inviting menu and a friendly hostess who assured us a short wait of 10-15 minutes. With only a couple of other diners present, we felt confident we had chosen the right time to dine. However, what started as a promising evening quickly turned sour as the minutes stretched into over 30 with no sign of our order. Despite a growing line and a flurry of activity behind the counter, our names were never called, and it wasn't until I approached the staff that we discovered our order had been overlooked entirely. Funny thing is our order was ready but not even once they looked at the receipt to call my name, I dont know why... At this point the food we ordered was already soggy and not fresh. We still gave it a try, but we just threw it away, a disappointing end to what should have been a delicious meal. While we attempted to salvage the experience, the overall lack of organization and communication left a sour taste in our mouths. It's unfortunate that such potential was overshadowed by poor execution, and it's unlikely we'll be returning anytime soon read more

I have heard so many outstanding reviews for this place, so it's very possible our experience was a fluke. If I try it again and it changes I will definitely add to my review. We ordered two burgers and an order of fries. The burgers themselves are impressive, it's so great to have real meat patties that are cooked exactly as you request. The onion rings on mine were huge and not crispy, so that was a bummer. As far as the fries, it could be that the person doing our food today was just heavy-handed but they were so salty that I couldn't eat them and my daughter could only eat them after wiping them off. I've recently read a lot of praise for the cheesesteaks at this Gouldsburgers, so I had to try it. The staff was friendly and inviting. There are many menu options without seeming overwhelming. I ordered dinner for the family. 5 cheesesteaks, 2 orders of fries, and an order of onion rings. I may have waited 20 minutes, which is not a long wait time for what I ordered. The cheesesteaks were amazing. Packed with meat and flavor. I only had Cooper sharp American and fried onions on mine, and that's all you really need. I place this in my top 3 of cheesesteaks that I've eaten in my 52 years on this planet. The location has a small eating area, but it's mostly a carry out business which is expected. What the heck, Haddonfield? Is this slightly better than Five Guys? Sure, but so is the mud you can scape off your shoe. Outrageously priced and mid at best. The Gould Standard Burger was very good, but it's a little bit messy. The burger comes apart while you eat it. Make sure to have napkins. The meat was tasty. The bun was fresh. A great find for the mixed family with gluten free eaters and gluten devourers. They have a gluten free fried chicken sandwich which is rare to find anywhere! They cook their burgers to the temperature wanted which is nice. The fries and waffle fries are also gluten free. The onion rings are not gluten free and hubby loved the full on gluten filled smokehouse (you can get it with a gluten free bun and remove the onion ring). We ordered the Forager melt (amazing) and we built our own burger - which consisted of a beef patty with Cooper sharp cheese, mushrooms, fried egg, bacon and ketchup & mayo. It was to die for!!! The bacon was the highlight and I don't usually get bacon on my sandwiches. It was so thick and flavorful, crispy and perfect - it really elevated the entire burger experience! Really good cheesesteak BUT the roll is terrible. This area is BIG on good harder sesame rolls like Sarcones so I couldn't believe I didn't have a great roll. My medium burger was cooked well done and tasted more like it was reheated. It had the consistency of a sloppy Joe. The roll was not fresh and even though we ordered onion rings we received fries. Went for the first time. Ordered two burgers, two drinks and fried pickles. Cost was $50. Pretty expensive but figured let's see how good it is. They ask pink or no pink. Wife said "little pink" and I said "pink". Well let me say they came out raw. Like internal temperature of 125 degrees rare. Both my wife and I had belly trouble later in the evening. There was blood at the bottom of the containers. It made the burger taste like paste cause it wasn't cooked. I will say the fried pickles were good. Overall for $50 will not be back.
