Thai iced tea and complimentary fried won tons with sauce.

While visiting Simi Valley heading to the Ronald Reagan Library, we searched Chinese food on Yelp and this spot came up just 2 minutes from our hotel. Staff was very friendly. We enjoyed Lemon Chicken, Honey Walnut Shrimp , white rice and the BBQ spare ribs. The spare ribs were not that great, so would not order them again, but everything else was delicious! Got a Iced Thai Tea and that was yummy!

1st time here and this Kung Pao chicken was delish! Savory, a bit of a kick, not overwhelming, simply tasty! Coming back to try the Mongolian Beef next! Natalia was super sweet and attentive, service was awesome! Ambiance is cool and chill!

Fantastic bistro! Their orange chicken stands out because the meat is super juicy and not overly sweet. The chicken fried rice is packed with flavor, and the Thai iced tea is the perfect refreshing treat to wash it all down. Restaurant is CLEAN and has comfortable seating. Service is above and beyond, very kind people here, hardworking, we had an exceptional experience and will be back!

The eggplant and fried rice were my favorite dishes. Overall good food, order veggies and entrees in equal proportion, I think it's a little punchier in flavor than I expected. atmosphere is casual and the staff(let's be honest I've been here three times, and I've only ever seen the one guy) is friendly. The only reason I take off a star is because their water heater is broken, so you'd have to wait for hot tea. For the location my opinion one of the better places to eat Chinese

This is a solid Chinese Restaurant in Simi Valley. It's probably overlooked by many because of the location. The food is made fresh and the quantities are large. The one item we did not like was the dim sum appetizer plate because the dumplings were a little tough and chewy, but the bbq bao was good and soft. The won ton soup was good and large enough for a family of 5-6. They charge extra for rice which I think should be standard and complimentary. Overall, it's a nice and clean restaurant that services freshly cooked food. Tables are a bit small, so don't recommend coming in large groups.

Our server was very nice and professional. They were very busy with take out orders constantly coming in through the phone and pick ups, but he would check in with us to see if we needed anything and reful waters. Food was excellent, not too salty, doesn't seem like they use msg or not a lot of it if they do. Nothing was bland, good seasoning on the dishes and came out hot from the wok. Portion sizes are huge and easily shareable and good deal for the price, even large dishes. Restaurant was clean, and I enjoy the decor. Overall, my favorite Chinese restaurant in Conejo Valley.

I have to say that this location puts out some pretty good Chinese food, all made to order. The food not sitting on a steam table like there are other competitors. There's a few other locations in San Fernando Valley, but this is close to my residence.. I've come at different times and days during the week never the same day always different. The service has always been spot on. Thank you Natalia for your continued dedication and service . You're you're an asset to this company. I hope that the owners appreciate the hard work that you do each and every day.. It's a very competitive industry and the key to your success is to deliver great Chinese food at a reasonable price and most of all service and the cleanliness of your establishment. To the back of the house, good job in providing good quality food and stay consistent with your portion sizes and don't cut corners when it comes to your food preparation. Stay consistent.. Maybe in the future you'll guys will be able to do some Catering. Thank you!

Dropped in for lunch and what a pleasant surprise. Ordered the Mongolian Beef and Sweet and Sour Chicken. Both were fantastic and accompanied by a side of Hot and Sour soup and white rice. All in all, a fantastic experience. And at $11.99 a real bargain. I highly recommend paying Gourmet Palace a visit.

This is my first time at this restaurant located on Madera and Royal. The restaurant use to be a take away only location until recently remolded to be a sit down restaurant. The restaurant offers an extensive menu broken down by types of entrees. The menu even includes a couple choices of dim sum. As my friends have been to the restaurant multiple times, I did not get a chance to get through all the offerings. I settled on Chow Fun, wide rice noodles with shrimp. The noodles were good. My only complaint was there were too many onions in the dish. When I looked at my friend's plates, they too had a lot of onions. A cheap filler. Next time, I would request no onions in my dish. Our server was very attentive. We were super thirsty, so we appreciated his attentiveness in making sure our glasses were full. Plus getting us sharing plates, before even asking. Thanks for the excellent service! I'll be back to explore the menu further!

    New York-style egg rolls

It's our first time here and we'll definitely come back. The hot and sour soup was delicious, as well as the New York style egg rolls (with BBQ pork, shrimps, and vegetables).

There are many other options on their menu, feel free to explore. My kids are picky eaters but they absolutely love the Chinese food from here. I of course enjoy the authentic sechuan flavor being Chinese myself. Was surprised to find such an authentic spot for Chinese in Oak Park!…read more I came by for a Mother's Day lunch with my family. When we arrived around 1 pm, the restaurant was maybe half full. But clearly it was popular as people were coming in constantly the entire time we were eating. Even though the restaurant is called Yunnan Restaurant, most of the dishes on the menu were more like Sichuan dishes i.e. spicy. All of the food was super solid and portions were ginormous. My recommendation is to order 1 dish per person if you want leftovers, or order one less dish than the # of people if you want to finish most of the food. I don't handle spice very well, so we ordered a mix of spicy and non-spicy dishes. We shared the following: #1 Yunan rice noodles ($16.99) #32 scallion pancake ($8.99) #104 Chong qing fried chicken ($16.99) #107 braised pork belly with buns ($19.99) #109 boiled two items - fish and duck blood ($21.99) Given that the restaurant is called Yunnan Restaurant, we felt like we had to order one of the most popular dishes from that region, the Yunan rice noodles i.e. crossing the bridge noodles. I really enjoyed the silky smooth mixian noodles as well as the flavorful broth. The fried chicken was too spicy for me; I ate one piece and my whole mouth was on fire. Everyone else said it was quite spicy as well, so eat this in moderation unless you can really handle your spice. The 3 pepper signs next to this dish on the menu are no joke! The braised pork belly was delicious, but portions were on the smaller side for this one. Still, I enjoyed making a little bun sandwich with the pork belly and pickled veggies. The boiled fish and duck blood was also super solid. It was just a little spicy, so I was able to manage a couple pieces with the help of rice on the side. Portions were very generous for this dish. We all ate lots of fish and duck blood and still had a ton left to take home. They also have some precooked 涼菜, i.e. cold dishes, on the side you can buy for dine-in or to go. We got 3 of the meats - pork tongue, pork head, and and beef tripe, to go. Paid $16.99 for a huge box of these meats. We thought this was a steal too. Can't wait to try some at home!

Around $12 for the main dish, rice, egg rolls, & soup. The edamame, dumplings (actually now that I think about it we ordered dumplings but I think we got potstickers but not their fault since the child that placed the order basically whispered it), & egg flower soup was kid approved. The mapo tofu is marked as spicy. When I placed the order she wanted to make sure that I knew this, which I appreciated. The dish had a good amount of spice. A bit of a kick but still enjoyable. I think it was a pretty big serving so I was able to take half of it home, which I ate for dinner. I can't speak for the other dishes, but those that ordered it said it was good. So no complaints there. The atmosphere was pretty calm when we were there since it was not that crowded at that time.

I was told the wontons had chicken in them. I was so hungry I didn't really see the chicken, but I will say this. If I travel around and eat, that Pad See Ew is in the top five. Great for the price as long as you temper your expectations…read more In this economy, Golden Panda is still doing $17.99 for lunch, $21.99 for dinner, and $23.99 for weekends all without time limit, so if you are going in expecting some gourmet buffet, you are most likely going to be disappointed. But if you go in with the expectation that you can try a ton of different food for the same price as a regular eat out, you might be pleasantly surprised like me. The hot food sections consist of Chinese buffet classics and a small selection of western foods like fried chickens and shrimp boils, etc. The quality of the Chinese dishes are honestly surprising good. Better than Panda Express, which isn't a high bar but still, and even has expensive dishes like fried crabs that is actually good. IMO even if you only eat from this section, you will have your money's worth and have a good time. The sushi/seafood bar is a slightly more complicated story. The rolls didn't look appetizing so I didn't try them. The chilled seafoods like cocktail shrimps and mussels didn't taste too fresh and I am a little worried after eating them. The sushi/sashimi, which are the main star of the entire buffet, are honestly pretty decent but with a caveat. They are obviously not sushi restaurants quality, but the fish are fresh enough and the sushi rice are decent enough that I when back for more. The only thing that concerned me is that the tongs used for sushi and sashimi are very dirty with food residue on them. They don't seem to be changing frequently if at all, and using something that has been touching raw fish and sitting out for a long time concerns me. If I get sick from the sushi it is probably not the sushi itself but the tongs. Lastly, the desert section is great like many comments have said, the fruits are fresh, cakes are decent, and the gelato ice creams are very high quality. Service is alright. They have remodeled so it is definitely cleaner than before and the bathroom is nice too.
