#62. Chicken Noodle, bean sprouts, egg, and I added a little sweet Thai chili sauce and also some unsalted pepitas for crunch! (No nuts)

I called Win Thai to inquire if they had soy sauce in #62 & #64. The courteous woman said they do, but they have gluten-free soy sauce. I was delighted! Ordered through Door Dash (DD) as I live in another town. There was no place to write on DD my special request for the gf soy sauce. I spoke to the woman again, she told the kitchen, and hubby and I enjoyed a great meal!!! The picture I uploaded is #62. Despite the trip in the car, everything was perfect: texture of the noodles (not soggy at all), the taste, and the fresh ingredients. Pls order the wonderful food from this authentic Thai restaurant!

Our first time here and wow! Food is so flavorful and authentic. I really enjoyed the yellow curry. It's a little hidden gem with amazing Thai food!!

I haven't been to this restaurant for a long time. I think it is under new management or ownership. Anyway, I stopped in and ordered the drunken noodles. Very tasty and a good portion. I will definitely be back!

Fantastic food today is so satisfying and I always leave full with food to spare for dinner. The service was spectacular refilled my water several times. Just an overall fantastic experience in general. The decor gives me an authentic Thai feeling. Super laid-back feeling in the whole place. Having a lunchtime date there was delightful. I would do it all again

    4. Spicy Pineapple Lunch Special

Delightful place with friendly service. Great deals on lunches specials. I had spicy pineapple, maybe I should have had the cashew dish. I say this, because I enjoyed so much that cashew chicken, which I normally love, would probably be amazing. Next time. It is much brighter in here and more inviting than the last restaurant here.

Great flavor! I've ordered from here through uber eats a couple of times now and everything is always great! (Would skip the vegetable spring rolls)

Fried Tofu Panang lunch special $13
    Anne B.

Very pleased with my first time visit. Had the panang with fried tofu lunch special. Special came with a side salad with peanut dressing. So happy they had a fish sauce condiment with chili and garlic. Such a great addition to the meal. Service was great. Very friendly and efficient. Ambiance was nice and quiet with background music. Came around 1:00pm on a Friday. A few tables were just finishing up and some pick up orders. While they're fairly new, word is definitely getting around to the locals! We love a good Asian restaurant! Will be back soon!

The establishment is kind of hidden in the corner next to the shell gas station and there is ample parking. As I was walking towards the front, I see a sign stating that they have a happy hour starting at 1 o'clock and it was 1259 so I was very excited to see what this look like especially for it being my first time here. This meant that I get to try a lot of new things and a lot more things. There is about 10 to 15 tables inside with different amounts of seating and since it was just my boyfriend and I and the lady gave us the choice to sit wherever then we chose a table with two seats but, had us move to the next one because she said that the two seat ones were for single people, especially because it was lunchtime. She refused to let us sit at the two person table ‍. We got several menus and a pencil with an ordering paper. She took our drink order and we started to explore the vast menu and it all looked great! (I love when they have pictures on the menu apart from descriptions) After she brought us waters, I asked her if the special menu was considered the happy hour menu and she said it's not happy hour yet and I said yes it is 1 o'clock and she looked at my boyfriends clock on his phone and apologized and brought the happy hour menu. I included the receipt so you can see that 4/5 rolls were happy hour pricing. The sushi chefs were 2 Hispanic men and the reason why I mention this was because I feel like most of my rolls had this "chili powder" that resembled Tajin on my rolls and that's what they called "spicy" half my rolls were supposed to be spicy tuna but the tuna itself was not spicy they just had this Tajin-like powder on top and to me it wasn't spicy at all and I also felt like it made those 2/3 rolls taste bland. My bf loves deep fried rolls so he opted to try the magic mtn and he loved it and I think I enjoyed the spider roll the most. Even the spicy tuna on the crispy rice was just regular tuna with no spice. We still thought it tasted good but we will maybe give it another try with different rolls next time. They have a punch card if you spend $50+ after I think 10 you get a free speciality roll. The chefs gave us a parting remark and we thanked them upon leaving for lunch. Our server was a little more cold but kudos to her for handling the whole restaurant by herself in an efficient manner as our food came out quick and we got water refills and she checked in on us while serving 5/6 other tables all by herself.

I of course enjoy the authentic sechuan flavor being Chinese myself. They have frozen handmade dumplings for sale too if that's something you want to look into.

Was surprised to find such an authentic spot for Chinese in Oak Park!…read more I came by for a Mother's Day lunch with my family. When we arrived around 1 pm, the restaurant was maybe half full. But clearly it was popular as people were coming in constantly the entire time we were eating. Even though the restaurant is called Yunnan Restaurant, most of the dishes on the menu were more like Sichuan dishes i.e. spicy. All of the food was super solid and portions were ginormous. My recommendation is to order 1 dish per person if you want leftovers, or order one less dish than the # of people if you want to finish most of the food. I don't handle spice very well, so we ordered a mix of spicy and non-spicy dishes. We shared the following: #1 Yunan rice noodles ($16.99) #32 scallion pancake ($8.99) #104 Chong qing fried chicken ($16.99) #107 braised pork belly with buns ($19.99) #109 boiled two items - fish and duck blood ($21.99) Given that the restaurant is called Yunnan Restaurant, we felt like we had to order one of the most popular dishes from that region, the Yunan rice noodles i.e. crossing the bridge noodles. I really enjoyed the silky smooth mixian noodles as well as the flavorful broth. The fried chicken was too spicy for me; I ate one piece and my whole mouth was on fire. Everyone else said it was quite spicy as well, so eat this in moderation unless you can really handle your spice. The 3 pepper signs next to this dish on the menu are no joke! The braised pork belly was delicious, but portions were on the smaller side for this one. Still, I enjoyed making a little bun sandwich with the pork belly and pickled veggies. The boiled fish and duck blood was also super solid. It was just a little spicy, so I was able to manage a couple pieces with the help of rice on the side. Portions were very generous for this dish. We all ate lots of fish and duck blood and still had a ton left to take home. They also have some precooked 涼菜, i.e. cold dishes, on the side you can buy for dine-in or to go. We got 3 of the meats - pork tongue, pork head, and and beef tripe, to go. Paid $16.99 for a huge box of these meats. We thought this was a steal too. Can't wait to try some at home!

Everything was good but the salmon was pretty thin. We also got one red dragon roll and my bf got the cali and steak plate which comes with a California roll. The sushi is not really worth it here. The red dragon roll had an odd aftertaste that I usually don't taste in a dragon roll and it also tastes dry. The California roll was extremely bland and dry. My bf also got the miso soup which was also bland. We also ordered potstickers which were okay. Service was nice and welcoming when we told them it was our first time there.
