Was in Moorpark yesterday visiting grandkids. Took them for some pho( a new food for them). I eat pho often and always take the kids to try something new. Pho100 did not disappoint. They each had a bowl of brisket pho, my wife had the won ton soup and I had a pork Banh mi. All were delicious and the kids loved it. The owner was very friendly as was the staff. I love coming here! I have tried a good portion of their menu, the vermicelli, spring rolls, and pho. I've never felt unsatisfied with my meal. They are fairly generous with their portions which I love! Their pho beef broth is soo flavorful compared to other pho places, and perfect for the winter time! One of the employees, I didn't get his name. Recommended us to try the "sour" broth option! This was very unique and new to me! We ordered it and we loved it! It was a perfect savory and sour flavor!! If you love pho and are adventurous, give the sour broth a try!! This was our first time at this restaurant. We had fantastic pho. Very meaty and flavorful. They were able to make mine with vegetables instead of noodles since I have to limit carbs. My husband has been coming here on Fridays for quite some time. He loves this place. Today I finally got to try it. I've never had Vietnamese food, so I was excited. We both ordered the #41 pork vermicelli bowl. Pork over rice and with salad. It was a nice big portion and was really delicious. Tons of flavor and everything cooked well. The good, the bad and the dirty!?!? The service is extremely friendly and super pleasant. They are informative and jovial, making your visit comfortable. The food is a mix of good to not-so-good. The pho itself (broth is very favorable) and as a novice to pho, I am super drawn to the great flavors. The proteins inside the pho are nothing to brag about, with the noodles and veggies being considered standard. The appetizers need help. Deep fried and mostly flavorless. Reminiscent of boxed deep fried Appetizers from a big box wholesaler. Would be nice to have additional premium proteins... currently it's not. The reason for ONLY 2 STARS!! The DIRTY!! For god sake... clean your dining room. The floors are disgustingly dirty and have not been mopped in who knows how long. The grime on the base of the tables and the base of the aluminum glass storefront is appalling. When the sun shine in the grime is so apparent. Made me stop eating immediately. If the dining room is this filthy, I'm very concerned with the rest of the important areas of this restaurant. The glass and mirrors behind the counter have dust and spilled beverages that are clearly a sign of neglect. Behind the counter they have a catch-all stockpile of junk. Hello business owners... we can see all that crap and it is very unattractive to a dining room of paying guests. You need to clean your restaurant and show some respect to your guests. Great little hole in the wall pho shop. The food is always fresh and the owners are really great. I got the house pho with egg noodles and spicy broth. For me the broth wasn't really spicy, but I can see how it could be for those with lower spice tolerances. Our server was attentive and helpful with questions we had for some of the menu items as well. Overall, a great place to eat for lunch or dinner. This is the first time in my life I've been charged separately for bean sprouts and herbs at a pho restaurant. They are normally served together with pho, not treated as add-ons. If this restaurant operates differently and requires customers to order them separately, that should be clearly explained at the time of ordering. There was no notice, no explanation, and no mention of an additional charge. The pho was served with the sprouts and herbs anyway, yet I was charged an extra $1.50 for each. Considering the base price of the pho was already on the high side, this felt unreasonable and misleading. On top of that, the broth was extremely salty. Overall, a disappointing experience. Has a very nice portion of Shrimp PHO,l at PHO 101. They only sell the large portion of PHO for orders to go. It's a little expensive but quite good. My order was a little over $18. There is a good amount of noodles, broth, shrimp, basil, peppers, lime and sprouts. I was full after eating the meal. The restaurant is very nice and the gentleman who took my order was really nice. The employee's that passed me while I was waiting for my order all said hello. Tabes are comfortable for adults and children, and there are plenty of tables. Pho100 is a family operated business and gives Moorpark another great place to expand your palate. I can't rave enough about this place and always bring new friends to give them a great Vietnamese experience. The Spring rolls are always fresh and flavorful. Two of my favorites dishes are the grilled pork vermicelli and the chicken pho soup. John is the front man and gives great service and Ilene (his sister) is the chef and what a wonderful chef she is!! The restaurant has a relaxed environment and has plenty of room for a table for 1 to large parties without feeling over crowded or rushed. Pho 100 Holy smokes this place is INSANE! It's such a hidden gem here in Moorpark. Pho 100 is easily one of the top pho places in Ventura County. They've solidified their place in my heart with their mind blowing broth. The depth and flavor that they pack into their pho broth is incredible, it's an absolute flavor explosion. The mouthfeel is rich and full bodied. The chili sauce they put on the side adds a fun spice element to the pho while not being overpowering and taking over the dish. The staff are so friendly, you can tell how much they care about this place as their passion comes through in every dish they serve and interaction you have with them. It was really cool to hear how some of these recipes are their mother's, because I instantly felt the love come through. I can't say enough good things about this place.
