Beware of this moving company! They will give you a good quote, tell you about the discounts they will give you, do multiple zoom calls to do walk throughs of your home and once the truck is packed, then blame you for not being transparent with your goods and charge you way more. As a military widow, I was working with a budget to get my children and I moved out of state. GPS was in great communication to get my money and I stayed in communication as I got rid of things to offset some cost. The day of packing and moving, they worked quickly and then once the truck was loaded added another $13k to the price. They gaslit me and acted inferior to me as I questioned their motives and how they run their business. Unfortunately it was literally the last hour, they gave me the option to unload the truck (which they knew I couldn't do because I had to be out of our home) I was backed into a corner and made to feel like it was my fault. Upon arrival to my new home, the driver was completely rude and immediately asked for payment (I guess this is customary) however it was completely unprofessional to greet me and say "i need payment now" Multiple goods were broken. Couch cushions stained blue from the crayon they used because as told to me "we ran out of permanent marker so we found a crayon in your kids room", my entire dish set missing, broken indoor cameras, my sons bed parts missing, my bed parts missing, broken chandelier, ruined mattress, broken mirror that I paid $800 more to have crated to ensure it wouldn't break...I mean I can go on. They offered to pay me .25 per dollar. Of every broken item. This wouldn't have covered one item. As a business owner, I am appalled at the way they handled this and I even recall Tammy saying "as a business owner, You know the customer isn't always right" Ummmm no. I don't even run my own business as poorly as they run theirs. I did try to resolve things through the BBB, where the owner or whoever she is, Tammy, continued to blame, gaslight, and then said I wasn't even present during the packing, which I then told her I could prove with my cameras and documentation that i was there. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! Absolutely do not use them. I should have done more research. The BBB website has some pretty terrible reviews of them along with other people explaining similar experiences. I'm sure they will try to argue this post or try to have it taken down, but that's what type of people they are. They blame you, the customer, and fail to take accountability for their shortcomings.

As a San Diego resident, I wanted to support a local company like GPS. A HUGE mistake with GPS. GPS marketed itself as a family company that cared about its customers and was super responsive until the moment you put a deposit down. From that point forward, it went all wrong. I'll list all the issues because giving content to the absurd lies they said throughout the move process borders on malicious management. - Zero communication after taking the deposit. I always had to reach out. - Didn't provide a custom tv box when I repeatedly asked for that in the quote - Sub-leased my move to a National moving company for my across-state move. I might as well have done that myself. - Hid behind buried terms of delivery and readily changed the definition. - Broke my TV, lost a box, and the wheels to my desk chair. Their answer was to take it up with our 3rd party claims company. They have no liability. I'll take some blame as this was my first move, and I did not know what to look out for with moving companies. However, the issues I'm listing are deceitful and clearly a lack of respect for their customers. This caused me to lose productivity at my new job, emotional stress, housing instability, and finical loss. I hope you find a better moving company and your move goes much smoother than mine.

One of the many boxes they damaged

We paid 19k from the original quote of 6k for a 2bd2ba apartment with no living room furniture and 1 bed. We were hit with constant hidden fees (quoted storage fee of $100 turned to $500/mo), lost items, damaged items, threats, and shakedowns for more money. Randy Bidetti threatened us and verbally assaulted my family. Tammy and Vanessa have zero accountability for the people they work with and their company's actions. Randy Bidetti ransomed our items by telling us 24hrs before the move that they needed an additional 2,300 because of the route to our home. They knew our address a month prior and never mentioned it. If we didn't pay, they would put our items in storage at our cost and void delivery altogether. He also changed the meeting time 2x the night before delivery. We had to coordinate with our jobs, our landlord and our babysitter to accommodate an earlier delivery time at such late notice. He told us if were late, it was $300/hr fine . Tammy and Vanessa have no control over their movers. We made it happen, but he was so mad at us that he yelled at my husband and proceeded to break our fragile items. See photos below. This whole experience was a nightmare. Too much stress for the small amount of items we moved. They completely lost items and broke so much of our stuff (pictures, coffee cups and appliances). No matter what horrible experience they were putting us through, they would just say "it's the other persons fault" or "per contract". Sorry, what? These are your workers and your contract somehow allows you to break our stuff and hold the rest of it ransom. The company will only offer 60 cents per pound of any item broken/lost. So for my children's little tykes picnic table they lost which weighs 9 pounds but cost $100, we could get about $5 for it. Bonus, we still got charged for moving those items. So far in packing I have found they have lost 4 kettles bells, 4 large horse stall mats, my patio table, kids picnic table, beach chairs, and pots and pans. Completely neglectful. It's criminal how much they lost and how they plan to reimburse us. We've had many military moves with zero issues and this was the worst experience we have ever had. We will never use a moving company again.

Ended up paying $200 to get it hauled to the dump.

Forgot to review them on Yelp! Here's all the issues I had in my move from San Diego to DC. 1. 4/6 boxes were damaged: broke tons of expensive dishes, glasses, and decor. 2. Broke a $200 floor lamp. 3. Broke a $1200 west elm console and tried to sloppily hide it using gorilla glue--stupidest thing you can use because it expands and ruined any salvageability. Got stuck with paying $200 to send it to the dump. 4. No communication/flexibility to get drop off scheduled. My building has a strict loading dock reservation and they couldn't even promise a time within 48 hours. 5. Extort you into paying $750+ on the spot with hidden fees. Cash or money order. Really difficult when your bank has a $500 withdrawal limit and is on the west coast and not open yet. Had to pay for a credit card cash advance (+20%)--thanks for the forewarning. 6. Outsource your move to some third party rando, who can hold onto your things unless you pay that ransom. 7. Didn't finish building the bed because they couldn't figure it out. 8. Lost some important documents. Didn't know this til after the move. 9. Damaged goods reimbursement is a joke. Like $0.20 per pound or something--read the fine print. 10. Were about 4 weeks late. If you use them go ahead and buy/borrow an air mattress. Moving companies are not well-regulated and can basically get away with whatever they want. Really do your research and beware of good review-stuffing.

Vanessa was very helpful and friendly during my quoting and preparation for my move. The movers came on time and very efficient, polite and professional. However, BE AWARE, they said turn around time is 7-14 business days, without telling you that they have up to 21 days to deliver. I called today since it's almost two weeks since they picked up. (that what I was informed). Abraham who handling the dispatch informed me that they expect the truck to leave this weekend and then it will take additional 3-5 days for my stuff to be delivered! I will update my review once I get delivery. But if I wish I have known, or they could have told me up front about 21 days. I would have used this info into consideration when I decided to use them or chosen different providers. *************6/14/2018************ Tammy called me the day after I posted my last review to apologize and explain that apparently they are auditing the trucks and they required certain days for trucks to stop etc and therefore trucks did not arrive as plan. And it was out of their control. She promised to call and updated me with the status earlier in the week after. I waited all day Monday. Tuesday I called in the late afternoon and found out the truck still have not leave California. I don't want to bother everyone with a long review. The bottom line is, I can see why the good reviews were. They might be great if you have one whole month or more (because they storage for you) for you stuff. My experience with GPS has been the worst one yet. Like I said earlier, BE AWARE that they have up to 21 BUSINESS DAYs to deliver your stuff. This information was NEVER told to me during quoting. I asked multiple times during quoting and when they came picked up my stuff. The only answer I got was 7-14 days turnaround time, not even said business days. I NEVER SAW the paperwork regarding "up to 21 business days" UNTIL after all my stuff was loaded on their truck and they make you signed over 10 pages of contract that my own fault did have time to read. Even if I had time to read then, what else would I do since all my stuff are loaded and that was my moving day. I left with no choice. I think consumers should be well informed and it is company's responsibility to be honest and tell truthful delivery day I could be expected. I would not recommend this company with anyone because I think ethics and honestly are important especially people who you trust to move all of your belongings. They are all very nice and I am still confirming that part. But if you are going to do business with them, be aware of all the terms that they did not tell you until they have your stuff. Picked up date was 5/24/2018, delivery date still uninformed.

I got the peace of mind I needed with this guys! From the office staff to the moving crew. Calling me an hour before and asking me if I'd like them to come an hour earlier... YES! They arrived and immediately started working. Not wasting time resting or chilling. Working fast and within 3 hours it was done. Makes me wish I was moving again soon so I could use them Would recommend 10 out of 10 times if you have a small place or a large one - seems like they can handle it all. Will definitely use them again!

Pros : they delivered within 21 business days They're affordable Nothing was damaged I wanted to take the time to update my review as my things have finally been delivered. I really wanted to rate them higher, especially after speaking with Tammy yesterday, but the delivery experience was a nightmare. The driver confirmed with Tammy he'll be here between 7-9 am. He called me around 815 and asked me to come outside. I come outside nothing, he than asks me to walk to the street to confirm my inventory (my 3 year old is sleeping in the house alone). He pulls out 3 of my items, pointless, explains he can't speak English and calls someone else on the phone who can. He then asks me to show him where my house is, so he can pull the truck around, and leaves .. oh and he came alone, which obviously was an issue because who was supposed to help this man move? He never moved his truck, he said he would block people's cars and he wasn't going to risk that, that he wasn't allowed to. Mind you, there was an English barrier, so I could only understand every other word . To give you an idea of my load, there were 12 plastic bins, one rollon luggage and a sectional split in 2. So it wouldn't be a long unload. The dispatch manager, alex talked to me from his phone. Rude, basically cussing at me, telling me I need to pay extra or move my things myself because the driver didn't want to move his truck any further inside. I asked both of them to please call Tammy as she instructed me to do yesterday, and the request was ignored. They told me to call her, I'm on EST, that makes no sense. I informed the driver she told me he had her personal number and to call were there any issues. Long story short I ended up moving 10 of my own bins upstairs, the luggage, assisted him with getting the sectional upstairs, and he moved 2 of my bins inside on his own. All while working remotely and taking care of my 3 year old daughter. Oh and the 8 legs to my couch was missing. Everything was in my house by 1030 am. So many things went wrong. This was literally a move from hell, I'd never do this again with them. I'm just glad it's finally over. They have the ability to actually deliver white glove customer service, but once you stop speaking with people in the office, the buck stops there.
