I called a couple of days before my big move, and the owner Edgar was very transparent about their pricing with the move, double drive time, and price for materials (bubble wrap, cling wrap, tape, etc.). Their cash price was the lowest that I found, so I decided to book them for the job. They sent two movers, Pacha and Sheiban, and they hustled the whole time to get the job done. They carefully wrapped delicate items like the TV, and mirrors in bubble wrap, and made sure that other items, such as the couch, were properly wrapped with cling wrap so they wouldn't get dirty on the move. when it came to unloading, they helped make sure everything was in the appropriate room. A somewhat frustrating move with this crew. Badr, the guy with curly hair, had an attitude from the start - eye-rolling and pushback on items that were already included in my quote. He refused to take my comforter, didn't want to take my plant, and so I had to leave the heavy pot behind so that at least I can take my plant. He arrived at 9:15 a.m. and spent the first 10 minutes going over rules and unlikely overtime scenarios, even though the move was clearly going to take about 3 hours. I was billed for that time. When I asked for an estimate so I'd know how much cash to prepare, he said he didn't know. He also spent a lot of time on his phone, so I ended up carrying some boxes myself. At the end, he said he prefers on cash only, said the clock would keep running if I left to get cash, and then asked for a tip! The final price wasn't unreasonable. My issue was Badr's attitude and lack of professionalism, which made an otherwise straightforward move unnecessarily stressful. I wouldn't use this crew again. read more

Recently used these guys for a quick move. They arrived on time and while not incredibly personable, the 2 gentleman who did the moving were careful with my items and worked very quickly which I appreciated. I was quoted around $340ish for my move and when all was said and done that was the cost which I also appreciated. The reason for my knock of 2 stars was towards the end of the move, the gentleman seemed confused on how I was supposed to be billed and called his main office. When he spoke on the phone he said he was a "former employee", so I'm not sure if it's a subcontracting situation or not. That not the end of the world as they did a fine job. As we're squaring up the bill he tells me the total of $240 (I put down a $100 deposit earlier) and I give him $260 and tell him to just keep the change. He counts it and starts packing up his stuff, and after we're done he says "tip?" I just tipped you and you're asking for more tip? That rubbed me the wrong way. It would also be appreciated if their workers were perhaps a bit more friendly. I most likely will not use them again based on that interaction alone. Edit: I've lowered my review to 1 Star based on the correspondence with this company. I'd advise anyone looking into moving to find perhaps a more professional company. read more

My movers were good. They were on time and more or less efficient and only broke a couple things. However there were many hidden fees that were not disclosed to me. They required that anything that could possibly break be bubble wrapped including mirrors, picture frames, etc. then that all came with an additional cost, plus the cost for materials including TAPE. I felt knickled and dimed. I did not need my mirror to be wrapped or my picture frames so now I'll be moving them myself even though I signed a waiver saying if things are broken due to not bubble wrapping the company is not liable. I've never had another moving company require that before and I've moved across country, and every year for the last 10 years, so I've used many moving companies. Double travel time was also not disclosed to me. So they charge you a $50 gas fee (even though I moved 4 miles away), then on top of it if it takes them 15 minutes to drive it actually counts as 30 minutes towards your time. I will not book with this company again. My move was a lot more expensive than anticipated. Edit: Edgar reached out and said they'd refund me the $50 for my drive since they listened to the recordings and did not disclose the double drive time to me. Then James texted basically backtracking saying he wouldn't pay out the $50 and that it was my fault it was disclosed in the fine print contract. Either way never received the $50 back and would never recommend this company to anyone after dealing with James. As everyone else who has had a problem with him, he's very not empathetic with customers and just combative. All the recent reviews are poor reviews. Guess that's for a reason. Edit 2: They refunded me the $50 after posting text receipts that they'd refund it onto yelp (which I've now removed) and a lot of back and forth. I told them to refund it if they were honest without me needing to remove my review and they did. Still recordings were not sent to prove anything but it is what it is. Again, movers were good with minor breaks but overall a good experience with the movers but not the best with the owner/management. read more

I strongly advise against using this moving company based on my recent experience. The service fell short in multiple areas, particularly communication and transparency regarding costs. Hidden fees were added that weren't disclosed upfront, which was frustrating and unprofessional. The management James and Edgar are not professional, they displayed poor customer service skills and unprofessional behavior throughout the move. What made matters worse was their constant need to argue with me, the customer. Instead of addressing concerns professionally, they became defensive and confrontational about every issue raised. They even argued about basic customer service matters, creating an extremely tense and hostile environment during what was already a stressful moving day. The company's pattern of arguing with customers and their overall lack of professionalism make it impossible for me to recommend their services to others. A moving company should work to solve problems, not create more of them through argumentative behavior. If you're planning a move, I'd strongly suggest looking for a different moving company that values customer service, respectful communication, and transparency. I first called Cubed and spoke to Edgar regarding moving services out of state. After reviewing 4 companies, Cubed still had the best price, but it's all expensive. I finally decided to rent my own truck and just use their labor services. Edgar was true to his word and supplied 2 guys, who came 15 minutes early and ended up loading a '22 ft truck. It took around 5 1/2 hours and they worked the entire time. The truck was full and packed tightly. I don't know their names, but one was from Kasakstan and the other from Russia. I retained Cube for our recent move. The crew of three arrived on time and did a satisfactory job. The driver/crew lead was friendly and offered some tools but I wish they had power tools because I had to use their manual tools to disassemble the beds, which was quite tiring for me. At the destination, the crew worked satisfactorily, but left without assembly, since the crew lead was not feeling too well. That said, he was professional, and helpful. One mover Pasha or Paul, who I would request if I were you worked very hard and took extra care to ensure my belongings were protected, both movers did! Pasha and Alex communicated well, and made my move easy! I would choose them again if I ever need moving services. The price was very reasonable with high quality and value! As always I recommend having your items ready either packed or ready to pack and very important- clearly labeled as to where you need them to go. I needed a much smaller storage space then Cube had to they both had a lot of patience for that and decided where to go first and loaded their truck in accordance. When I found a few items ( not at the same time) and said, Ooops! This should be going to storage they were patient and accommodating, and said No problem, it can still go to storage. They were able to complete the move with all my items arriving safe, and unharmed helped in arranging it at my new place so it will be easy for me to pick and choose at my leisure safely. Two thumbs up for Cube Moving and Storage!!! My group of friends started using Cube Moving and Storage about four years ago at the recommendation of one of our friends. Since then four of us have now used their services and I see no reason to shop anywhere else. My girlfriend and I moved into our new place from Escondido to Sabre Springs this past weekend and the guys that helped us, Chris, Derek and Mikail were all great to work with. They showed up on time in a big truck and wasted no time getting to work. Although my girlfriend's last place was only two bedrooms, she and her daughter had a decent amount of stuff and these guys got everything that wasn't already boxed wrapped and protected, down four flights of stairs and to our new house in 6 hours flat. It likely would have taken me and four of my strongest, beer-bellied friends double that and we would've incurred no less than twelve broken items and at least one trip to the ER. All joking aside, these guys were great. They were all hard workers, communicative with us as well as each other and they took care of the most frustrating and difficult part of moving.
