I'm so glad I found this place. I was looking to go to the Monterey Park location and noticed there is now one in Baldwin Park. It's in the same plaza as home depot. They just opened 6/25/26. They don't serve alcohol or soda yet. There's plenty of seating inside and a bar in the middle. There are also tv's everywhere. The food and service was great. My 4 year old played the claw machine and won a crab. We signed up for a membership for $10.99. It came with 2 free pounds of shrimp and 1 free pound for you next visit along with 300 points. I love Grab A Crab and have been going to the Hacienda Heights location for a while, so I was excited when the Baldwin Park location opened since it's much closer to me. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. The food was not the same quality I've come to expect. Our drinks also had a strange taste, and we had to send them back. On top of that, we asked for sauces three times before they were finally brought to our table. I know how good Grab A Crab can be because I've had consistently great experiences at the Hacienda Heights location. Sadly, this location didn't meet those standards. I won't be returning to the Baldwin Park location, even though it's more convenient for me. read more

First time coming to Grab a Crab, first off the concept of the claw machine is genius. You get a token for everyone in your party with a max of 6 tokens. The idea is to try and grab a plushie (shrimp, sausage, potato, corn, etc.) which you can then keep for yourself or trade it in for a pound of whatever food item you caught (I kept my potato). They also have a deal going on right now for $10.99/year membership that comes with special deals but signing up entitles you to 2 free lbs of shrimp. The atmosphere, servers and food were all great. Bibs and gloves are provided for you at the table and the gloves are good quality, not like those thin ones where your hands end up greasy. The prices for the seafood were reasonable as well. For a party of 9 we ordered two orders of the meal for 4 and that was more than enough food on top of the 2 free lbs of shrimp. Everything on the menu was good, I liked the chowder and the jumbo especially. Our server Rachel was great, she made sure to check on us frequently and always had a smile on her face. The place is really nice, the chairs are comfortable, the food tasted great, but the service was horrible!!! The only time we saw our waitress was when she came to take our order which was 30mins after we were seated. She also forgot to add items into our order so we waited and waited and it never came because she never added it and we couldn't ask her since she never came back after that. Waited another 40mins to get our check. This location needs to bring some veterans from Hacienda Heights location so they can train the new staff members.
