Staff needs to be trained better. Most are Not too friendly and very unorganized. We sat for 15 min or so until someone came around to take our drinks and we had to flag them down. She went on break and we sat for another 30 minutes before we flagged someone down to take our order to which the workers were confused. Food took over an hour to come out. Our server went on a second break before completing the things we needed. They're a mess others were getting their food long before us and sat long after . Edit: the manager and one of the servers apologized and reduced our bill. They were very nice and apologetic . It was an unfortunate situation but food was bomb. read more

What a great soft opening! I love that grab a crab is finally close by me now (use to go to Rowland). This one is gorgeous inside and has a waiting area which was desperately needed in other locations. Also highly recommend joining the waitlist online and showing up close to your time. Big shout out to our server Natalie for being so attentive and informative about everything. I got the membership bc of her! I returned to Grab a Crab hoping for a better experience, but the same issues continued. The restaurant was extremely hot with little to no air conditioning, forcing my daughter and me to step outside. Our server was friendly, but our lemon pepper fries arrived without lemon pepper. I came to watch the Cowboys game, but most TVs were off. After asking, it took about 25 minutes to get a response, and the TV that was turned on stayed on the guide for another 45 minutes. Management was professional and acknowledged similar complaints. I want the restaurant to succeed and will keep supporting it, but I hope they improve the AC, TVs, order accuracy, and communication. read more

The food was good but not as saucy as their other locations. I will say the food service is quick. When we were there we felt as if the waiter wasall over the place and if you need something you need to go track them down yourself. The place was also super loud and had a dj we couldn't even hear ourselves at the table or the waiter could barely hear us ordering. Our waiter was no where to be found after awhile so we asked another nice worker, we didn't catch her name but she was a lot better. It was their grand opening so maybe that played a part in it being super loud and the waiters being all over the place. The actual location is very nice and very modern. It was weird though because I went to the restroom to wash my hands, and when I came back, they gave another group the table they gave me. I picked a different table, but I thought that was odd. After a quick glance at their menu I saw that they had Happy Hour is Monday to Friday from 4 to 6:30pm. It was a bit pass 6pm so I put in a Dozen Oysters (HH $15 | regular $33) while I looked at the rest of the menu. Ugh regret. These were SO BAD!! First off, the majority was not shucked, it was still attacked to the shell. I turned to the table next to me since I saw they had ordered oysters and I asked if theirs were shucked, and they said some were and some weren't. Oh goodness, so inconsistent. Then they also warned me that they got charged regular pricing instead of happy hour pricing. Also they didn't give me any utensils... so I had to go grab a plastic fork myself cause no staff was in sight and I had to scrap these oysters off their shells. First one not good. Second one, I drowned it in marinara sauce, still not good. Third one... SO BAD I SPLIT IT OUT... Fourth one, ALSO BAD. Okay I don't want to get sit... I'm over this... I just set it aside and covered it with one napkin to indicate I'm over it. Honestly they can see there were many untouched if they wanted to ask me how I liked them. Maybe I should have left but I made the mistake of ordering more food. I ordered a Raspberry Iced Tea ($3.75). Can't really mess that up but I want to point out that no refills were offered my whole time there. I did their Build Your Own with 1lb Shrimp ($17.75), 1lb Crawfish ($11 when added on to an order), with the Make it Awesome ($5.75) which is 1 corn, 2 potatoes, 3 sausages all in their Garlic Butter Mild. Okay... garlic... butter... can't go wrong right?? Well I'm wrong wrong wrong. I don't know HOW they managed to serve me the blandest cajun meal of my life. I am beyond baffled. I see the garlic. The color looks like butter. Definitely not mild, more like zero spice and zero seasonings. Even the limes they gave were dried out and bitter. My theory on the bland garlic was that it was prepped and frozen for so long it lost its' flavor. The seafood itself didn't taste fresh either. Bleh. It really needed a better sauce to mask the musky taste. Oh and the sausage was BURNT. Sigh. I think service tried to be nice. They did come and ask if I needed anything else. But honestly I didn't even want the food in front of me, let alone anything else. At the end they provided complimentary dessert to every guest. It was like a deep fried oreo with a scoop of ice cream on the day I went. The dessert was good. Just nothing else. Oh wait for it... when I got the check, I was also overcharged for the oysters, ringing up at $33 instead of the $1.50/oyster HH price being $15. The waitress was surprised and she even expressed how that happened to another customer (I know) previously and she had asked "him", who I assume is a manager or boss, to fix it in the system. Sigh... Apparently he didn't. The portions were fair, the pricing is fair... WHEN THEY RING YOU UP CORRECTLY. it just tastes bad. Low production quality. Maybe they are able to keep these prices by buying low quality product. Regardless I DEFINITELY won't be coming back. This meal, or rather the stuff that was edible, is not worth the calories. I rarely give 1 star reviews but I almost considered it... but no one was mean and I didn't get sick (because I spit up the bad oysters and stopped eating them). This is such a generous 2 stars review for the mess I had to deal with.

We were a little disappointed when we found out they don't normally do birthday celebrations, especially since it was such a special birthday for him. But our waiter, Luke, completely turned that around. He gathered his coworkers, and they all came over to sing Happy Birthday to my nephew. It was such a thoughtful gesture and truly made his night! We were so thankful for Luke's outstanding service, kindness, and attention to detail throughout our visit. The food was great too, but the service is what really stood out and made our first experience memorable. Management should definitely consider making birthday celebrations part of the dining experience because those little moments mean so much to families celebrating special occasions. Grab A Crab exceeded every expectation and delivered one of the most enjoyable seafood boil experiences I've had. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with exceptional hospitality that set the tone for the rest of the meal. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, consistently checking in throughout our meal while also taking the time to patiently walk us through the menu and membership program. Joining the membership for just $11 a year turned out to be an amazing value; we received 2 lbs of free shrimp and 300 reward points (equivalent to 1 lb of shrimp) as a welcome gift. Since Tuesdays are Member Days, we also received a complimentary appetizer and 5% cashback, making the membership even more worthwhile. I was especially impressed by the restaurant's sleek, modern interior and remarkably plush seating, which gave the space the feel of an upscale restaurant rather than a typical seafood boil spot. As part of the restaurant's playful concept, every table receives two tokens at the beginning of the meal to play the claw machines. If you win a plush, you can either exchange it for the corresponding menu item or keep it as a souvenir. We were even lucky enough to win the shrimp plush, which we happily brought home. **Combo for 2: 5/5** At just $50, this combo was an incredible deal, including 2 lbs of your choice of classic seafood, three appetizers, four pieces of potatoes and sausage, and two pieces of corn. We ordered 2 lbs of crawfish and upgraded to the Half Moon Mozzarella, calamari, and buffalo hot wings for a $3.50 upcharge each. 10/10 -- Definitely Worth the Wait! Yesterday, 8/9/26, we put ourselves on the waitlist in the restaurant, and it estimated about an hour and a half. Thankfully, our wait was actually shorter than expected, which was awesome! Of course, I understand that can't always be expected because they were very busy, and honestly, I'm happy to see the restaurant doing so well. Once we were seated, it did take a little while before we were able to order, and there is definitely a little room for improvement with the timing. However, I'm always willing to be patient, especially knowing they are busy and have new staff. Once our order was placed, it took a bit to come out, but I can honestly say the food was worth the wait! This was our second visit, and both experiences have been a 10/10 for me. Our first visit was amazing from start to finish--even though the lights went out! The staff did an incredible job making everyone feel comfortable and continuing to take care of the customers despite the unexpected situation. On our second visit, once our food arrived, Riza was absolutely on top of everything! She was so friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of. Her customer service definitely stood out and made our experience even better. I also really love that they have more options than some of the other crab restaurants we've been to. There's a great variety, and everything we ordered was delicious! And I have to mention the gentleman making the Micheladas, they looked SO good! He was making them look so tempting that I almost wanted one... unfortunately, I don't drink beer! Would I come back to this location again? YES! YES! YES! Just remember to be patient. First off I would like to say the food was very good, my family and I enjoyed the food! Here is the bad part me as a business owner is really upset because I ordered a pitcher of beer and only got 3 cups from the beer so I decided to order a draft beer which was fine only that after a few sips I cut my lip open due to the glass being broken. I notified the waiter about the incident and he let the supervisor know which came up to me and said I am going to give you another beer for free, now this is what really upset me is that there was no incident report written and all they did was give a $20 dollar discount for the bill which gratuity was included and not disclosed when being seated nor is posted anywhere in the restaurant. I really wish the supervisor would've used better judgement and also would have checked to make sure I was ok which he did not do he just said he would have them check the cups and got me the beer and said the beer was free, well yeah I cut my lip on a glass and it needed to be replaced but I would have comped the whole meal and made sure the person was ok. So in my line of business which is general contractor I provide my clients with the best customer service and if something is broken I fix it free of charge regardless of anything and that would have been nice in this occasion. Like is said the food was amazing but the fact that I cut my lip and had blood on the napkin should have triggered the supervisor to write and incident report and try everything to make sure I felt like they cared about the incident, shame on him. My husband and I absolutely love seafood boils, and we've tried many seafood restaurants over the years. We usually order shrimp, snow crab, mussels, crawfish, and Cajun sauce, so we have plenty to compare it to. This was our first time at Grab A Crab in Baldwin Park, and all we can say is... WOW! Everything tasted incredibly fresh. One thing we really appreciated was that the snow crab legs were already partially cracked open, making them so much easier to enjoy without spending so much time using a crab cracker. It's a small detail that made a big difference. The Cajun sauce was absolutely amazing--rich, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and probably one of the best we've ever had. Honestly, I think Grab A Crab has become our favorite seafood boil spot so far! And the oysters? They were exceptionally fresh, sweet, and delicious. Every bite tasted like quality seafood. Our server, Rachel, was fantastic! She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed from start to finish. She took the time to answer our questions and gave us some great recommendations. Whatever plushie you win can be redeemed for the real thing. For example, if you grab a shrimp plushie, you can trade it in for 1 lb of shrimp! Such a unique twist that makes the whole experience even more fun. The food was delicious, and I loved that they offer combo options, it made ordering so much easier. Since I'm still new to seafood boils, I didn't realize that ordering crab legs meant one cluster instead of a full pound, so that's just something to keep in mind if you're a first-timer like me! We did have a bit of a wait before our order was taken, but everyone was friendly and the food definitely made up for it. They also have a yearly membership that's worth checking out. We recently visited Grab A Crab during its soft opening, and we're so happy to have a location closer to us! Might even think about doing a to go order in the future. We ordered three seafood combos and a few kids' meals, and everyone left satisfied. The wait time was very reasonable thanks to the fast, attentive service. I also appreciated how much more spacious this location is compared to the Hacienda location, and the chairs were very comfortable. The food was hot (one combo was spicy ), flavorful, and definitely hit the spot. My only suggestion would be to add a little more sauce to the seafood--it was delicious, but we'd love even more of it. Sorry didn't capture an image as we were so hungry and got right into it. I came in around 6 pm on a Saturday and was welcomed by all the staff. The atmosphere was super dope, they all all the World Cup and baseball games playing as well as good music. I was given two coin for the claw machine and I got a free lobster tail and crab from getting them in the claw machine. My first time ever at Grab a Crab, all I can say is very good service. As I walked in I was greeted very politely and throughout my meal my server was Rachel and she was the sweetest. She was always checking in on me and my brother so kind and definitely made me feel welcomed as a first timer. I really liked their snow crab legs, usually when I order snow crab the texture is kind of mushy but Grab a Crab's snow crab legs was firm and I really appreciated that. Depending on where you go, I find the service at the restaurants I have been to are pretty quick. I appreciate that they have outdoor seating and indoor seating and the plaza has a lot of parking. Unfortunately, on the weekends, it can get quite busy, but I always find parking. I definitely recommend visiting Haven city if you are unsure on what to eat. There's options for everyone!

I would recommend that they don't overcook the Salmon though, because it can get too dry. Otherwise, it was tasty, with several different sauces available. There was a sushi bar, with interesting rolls but not Japanese run, and they don't use Panko batter for their tempura...so it made the spider roll a bit too dense. For those that like burgers, pizza and beer, there were several vendors. I'll have to come back to try the other vendors soon!
