While the front desk staff was very sweet, the actual service and sales pressure were unprofessional. This salon claims to be "high-end," yet there was nothing special about the environment. Instead, it was a high-pressure environment where staff continuously pushed for expensive upgrades. I requested a simple polish change, but was told "no" and pressured into paying for a full manicure, with staff demanding I cut and clean my cuticles when I specifically asked not to. They also attempted to force a $15 upcharge on my 2-year-old, who obviously cannot sit still for a full service. They make it impossible to pay for basic services, ensuring a bill over $100. Pricing listed: Basic Pedicure ($38), Gel Add-on ($22), Manicure ($25), Gel Add-on ($18), Kid's Polish ($10/each). The final straw was at checkout: I was aggressively asked if I was going to tip the other staff members. Tipping is a choice, not a mandatory fee, and this inquiry was unprofessional and hostile. Susie is one of a kind, she takes time to listen and understand, while also sharing her expertise and recommendations. I've never had a problem that she hasn't been able to help with.
