Not sure why this place doesn't have a higher rating. I have been in desperate need of finding my go to spot for great affordable nails. Decided to try them out since it's so close to campus. I had gone to a previous place in corona where they did a horrible job and thinned our my natural nails. I was tended to quickly by angel (who was an actual angel btw lol) I showed her what I wanted and she blessed me with just that. She was gentle with the drill and meticulous in crafting the nails; making sure they were thin, natural looking and EVEN. She took my cuticle off perfectly and did a great paint job with the powder, making sure not to get any stuck on the borders. I came here with a friend after a mutual friend raved about this place. I made an appointment about a week prior to our visit. Upon walking in I realized it was fairly busy. They have plastic partitions up and seat you every other seat. If I'm being honest it was mote crowded in there than I was comfortable with. My friend got acrylics with tip extensions while I got dip powder. The first worker took me to the back to soak my nails & buff off my old gel. Honestly, she was really rough and cut me multiple times. I didn't realize just how many times she actually cut me until she put the acetone soak on. I sat there for about 15 mins before the next lady was ready for me. I showed her what I wanted and she proceeded to complain how complicated my nails were going to be in chinese. She asked me what colors I wanted & I told her specifically what I wanted. However, due to the language barrier a lot was miscommunicated. Instead of a french nail with a red tip she did white. In the end my nails came out better than I was anticipating. You do get what you pay for here & I suggest sticking with simpler designs here. Second time coming here after a friend recommended this place. The first time I came it was alright. My boyfriend and I came in for a mani pedi and they took him in first. I'm not even going to show my pedicure pictures because the job was such a joke. My toes weren't even and I had to tell someone else to fix it in hopes they'd take me in for my nails because the nail tech I had WAS NOT IT. it was obvious a few of my toes were round and the others were square. Already knew this was going bad and the nail tech told me "if it doesn't look perfect then you gotta tell me." I don't get what I need to explain when it's pretty obvious. When she fixed them to the shape, she filed my nail down to the MEAT. Going into the gel mani, it's a horrible job. I'm sure the girl was new and I kept telling her to fix XYZ but she still proceeded to do what she wanted. I've been looking for a new nail place that offers more colors and does a good job, and Yelp delivered! One of the best, neatest, smoothest, most even ones I've ever had. Cuticles perfectly smooth and even, nails filed expertly. And SO cheap! And (relatively) quick yet flawless results. Their ENORMOUS powder dip color selection is jaw-dropping. I've never seen a nail salon anywhere with this many colors. Like a gigantic overflowing basket full of color swatches. I was skeptical going in because I started with the nail soak of my old powder dip from a different place and asked for a chair massage while I soaked. Worst. Massage. Ever. The chair could barely be adjusted, and the employee hardly put any pressure in the massage even though I eventually asked for stronger pressure. She just poked quickly at my back and left me strained and more uncomfortable than before the massage. Horrible. But then they beyond redeemed their business by giving me a FANTASTIC powder dip mani (by a different employee. I wish I got her name! She was very sweet, too). I was a little concerned that she was flying through the mani so quickly, but it came out flawless, smooth as glass, with mirror shine and tidy cuticles. Win all around! I found my new nail place! Finally found my go-to nail salon!! I never had a go-to nail salon before and would always go one place after another because I was never completely satisfied with both price and quality wise. I'm so glad I decided to try them out. I usually get acrylics and I read that this salon does SNS nails so I wanted to try it. With extensions, it was $33 for SNS nails - pretty cheap compared to other places so that's definitely a plus. I got there a little before noon on a Saturday with no appointment and I thought it would be okay, but boy was I wrong. The salon was already full and there was one other girl waiting. But to be fair, the salon is small and only had 4 nail techs working. I picked out my color and waited about 20 minutes and dang, it was literally the fastest I've ever gotten extensions done. The lady finished putting the extensions on, shaped them, filed them multiple times, and managed to get the color on in about thirty minutes. If you've ever gotten extensions, you know it usually takes about an hour and trust me - I've had times when it took me about an hour and a half+ so I was very surprised by how fast she was doing my nails. It almost kind of made me feel like she was in a rush to get me done but the end job looks as if she took her sweet time. The reason why I'm giving them four stars is that she filed some of my nails too deep and cut them a little. This is kind of inevitable though because it always happens to me wherever I go. Also, I just felt like she didn't really put too much effort because she was just doing them so quickly. Nevertheless, I think I'll stick to this salon for now. Just make sure you make an appointment because they seem like they're always booked! read more

My nails looks really nice in the picture but the lady could've been neater with the black polish. I had an appointment and they took care of me right as I walked in. No waiting at all. I didn't catch my nail artist's name however, she was nice. She cut the tips shorter than my other hand but when I told her, she took them off and reapplied the nail tips without complaining. I was very impressed. However i asked for a brownish nude and showed a picture of what I want but i got a pinky nude instead. She didn't even properly put the top coat at the end, totally leaving my pinky finger of my right hand matte. The black tips look very messy up close in real life. You could see the nail tips through the sns, like they put nothing on. And there's bumps here and you could see grains of powder through the sheer polish. :( I won't go back again. read more

I usually get my powder with Debbie but she wasn't in today so I tried a new lady but wasn't able to catch her name. She was very attentive and incredibly patient in helping me achieve the design I was trying to get on my nails. Booked for my wedding mani/pedi UV gel before heading to my rehearsal dinner the night before my wedding because I flew in from another state for my wedding. I called several nail salons to see whether they had an open spot. This place was the only place that said yes. Arrived there at 3:00, this lady did my pedicure and took about 1.5hours just on pedicure. My dinner was at 5:30 and the whole shop was fully booked as there were nobody/no table available to do my manicure when I was done with my pedicure. I ended up not doing mani and just left and painted nails myself that night at home. Horrible service. Horrible communication. I even told them it was going to be for my wedding. Just walked out after a pedicure and dip powder nails with tips. I was very disappointed with this nail salon with the deceptive reviews online. I made an appointment with my sister in advance for 11:30 on this Sunday morning, and walked out 2 hours later with a mess on my hands. We both had dip powder already on our nails when we entered the salon. Mine was done at Le Vernis in Wellesley, MA and my sister's was done at Rachel's Nail Salon in Steinway. Since Grace's was closer to our home in Queens Village compared to Rachel's, we decided to try it out. When they were in the removal process of the previous dip powder on our nails, they just used acetone dipped cotton balls wrapped in foil, then placed our hands in plastic gloves. They didn't even file down the dip powder before wrapping the nails, which I've had done at every other place I've done dip powder. After soaking, the dip powder obviously didn't come out, so the girl who did my pedicure used a hand file to rip off the softened dip powder from my finger, in the process ripping my natural nail and thinning it out. In terms of pedicures, $13 is pretty cheap. They're fairly clean, but I think a lot of it is for show. They use the same clippers and files on their clients without cleaning them (same for manis). Some of their polishes are older and have become tacky, which I could see with the polish application on my sister's toes. She also told me when they were using the foot scraper, they scraped too much of her skin off, making it hurt when she walks now. There's nothing very great about the pedicures, and you're definitely getting what you're paying for. I think that resonates with my experience with the dip powder as well. I had my nails done by Grace, the owner, which I would not recommend. At least every 5-10 minutes, there would be a phone call that she would have to pick up, making the process much longer for me. When applying the nail tips, she used nail polish instead of glue to put the tip onto my nail. She only used glue on the top of nails where the tip was too small for my nail, which I pointed out to her. After everything was applied, I asked her to fix two nails lacking pigment, my left ring finger and my right thumb. That left me with a deformed almond shape on my left ring finger you can see in the picture. I didn't notice at the time my right middle finger was also clouded. These issues are probably due to not brushing away the pigmented powder before dipping into the clear top coat powder that's contaminated by other clients' colors. My nails still have filings and powder stuck in them, giving them a childish glitter look to them. I even asked her if this color was glitter because I was so confused during application. If you're up to correct your technician for every mistake, you'll have to make an appointment at least a day in advance. At least three people walked in the salon during my appointment seeking service, but were all turned away. Personally when I PAY to get my nails done, I want a detail-oriented technician who takes the satisfaction of their clients seriously. Also, using credit or debit card up-charges you by $1, which isn't posted anywhere in the salon, so keep that in mind as well! My service totaled in $46 before tip when I paid with card, which is about what I've paid for just dip powder with tips before my visit today. Still, I won't go back and pay for a crappy job I can do myself with an at-home kit. read more

They were separated on rings by dark colors, pastels, bright colors, etc. It's been over a week later and I am still very happy with the job they did. They do not soak your hands in water which I'm used to but that's okay. The price for the SNS was $25! Definitely cannot beat that. They also have specials such as regular gel and pedicure for $30. I've been going to this place for a long time and never had a problem. Grace would do my nails but they would always fall or chip after two weeks or so. I got a full set and my gel nail polish would get ruined and peel off. She was doing a new set for me AGAIN after just 3 weeks of having nails, all of them fell off. I noticed when she was putting the tips that all my nails had multiple air pockets. I told her this was concerning me because I don't want to get a full set every few weeks because the air pockets would cause my nails to come off. She told me my nails are not straight and didn't fix any air pockets. Instead, she used her disgusting tools on me and gave me nail fungus. This place is so dirty and unprofessional. This means that they're trying to gauge how much I want done to see if it's worth taking me or not. I don't appreciate that. I'm pretty sure I had someone new but the girl ending up clipping my toes and totally botched my shape. I had to guide and instruct her multiple times on how to file my nails but the damage was done. What added insult to injury was the painting, she put 3 coats on my toes just to get the clumps out on top of the top coat.
