We couldn't have imagined a better place to host our 28-person wedding rehearsal dinner than Gracie's Luncheonette. From the moment we first visited and fell in love with the Fancy Hashbrowns, we knew we wanted to share this special place with our closest friends and family. They absolutely delivered. The food was phenomenal from start to finish. The biscuits were unforgettable, the deviled eggs disappeared almost immediately, and the fried chicken and brisket were some of the best we've ever had. Every single guest raved about the meal. Dessert was the perfect ending, with an incredible selection of pies, especially the key lime pie, which was an absolute standout. The cocktails were equally impressive: thoughtfully crafted, perfectly balanced, and delicious. What truly made the night special, though, was the hospitality. The entire team took such incredible care of us, making sure everything ran smoothly and that everyone felt welcome. Even though they normally close at 7 p.m., they graciously allowed us to celebrate until 8, never once making us feel rushed. At the end of the night, they thoughtfully packed up all of our leftovers and pies so nothing went to waste. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Planning a wedding comes with so many moving pieces, but Gracie's made this part effortless. They created such a warm, joyful atmosphere that allowed us to simply enjoy the evening with the people we love most.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're looking for a place to host a special event, or even just an amazing meal, Gracie's Luncheonette is truly something special. We can't wait to come back and relive the memories for years to come.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Gracie's is a great place for breakfast near Hudson![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We wctually started with dessert (doughnuts) and the homemade doughnuts were so fresh. The Pecan Toffee Crunch was perfectly crisp and sweet and the Sweet Potato Pie was spiced and filled with this jammy sweet potato. Both were delicious! We had the monte cristo (French toast, ham, turkey, Swiss, honey mustard, and jam) which was sweet and savory. In addition, we had the chicken biscuit which had crispy chicken, honey butter, and hot sauce. Tasted more like buffalo sauce. We left feeling stuffed after carb loading for our hike.

We were on our way home and needed to stop for breakfast. Gracie's Luncheonette came up as close by. It turned out to be a great call to stop and eat there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They gave us a window seat with an amazing view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was really good and the service was great. My husband had the full breakfast and I had the waffle with berries and bananas. Before we left, we bought donuts that they sell as well. Amazing!

    Fried Chicken Sandwich

Was staying around the corner at the Camptown and popped in here for a quick lunch before heading back south. Had to wait a few minutes to get seated even though a lot of tables were open, but was well worth it. The chicken in the fried chicken sandwich was so juicy and perfectly cooked. The donut was really tasty and soft, and was not too greasy. The waitress was so sweet and gave us a free homemade soda (their sodas are all homemade and the cherry cola is delish). Love this place!

Wow, just wow. Gracie's Luncheonette is a gem of a restaurant. With a super fun and innovative menu--and food that delivers on incredible flavor, I was super impressed. The French toast sticks are 9 out of 10-crispy and absolutely delicious. The hash browns with roe and crème fraiche and a side of lox was also super tasty from 8 out of 10. So so so good. Can't wait to go back and try more items.

This review is for take-out donuts. Wow, totally worth the price and visit. Are they hipstery? Are they too much? Well, I live in Brooklyn, so I guess to me, they are regular donuts! Anyway, the family selected chocolate sea salt, strawberry sprinkles, cookie dough, and apple fritter (for me - I was trying to decide between that, the classic Boston Cream, and a maple bacon long john. The gentleman doling out the donuts said - do the apple fritter. Super fresh and will melt in your mouth.) I did not taste the kids donuts, but I loved my fritter and a bite of the sea salt (spouse choice) was quite tasty. The fritter had a lot of apple in it, so it felt 5% more healthy. :) They are also pretty big, so it took the kids three attempts to finish them. We will definitely visit again - and maybe try real food next time!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What a lovely and unknowing location![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My husband and I seeked out a drivable brunch place so here we were and it was great. We got seated right away, staff were pleasant and the location was ultimate. The Bloody Marys were spicy and decently strong. I had the chicken fried steak and asked for poached eggs. Unfortunately this was where they lost the star as the eggs were basically hard boiled and I look forward to runny eggs. My husband had the brisket hash and ate every bite. We also got 4 large donuts on the way out. Wish they gave us 2 boxes as the donuts are so big they smeared the frosting all over the inner lid of the box. Will definitely return!

    Gluten free Monte Cristo!

A WONDERFUL AND DELICIOUS GEM! I am getting married in the area in 2027, so my fiance and I wanted to try some of the local restaurants and cafes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Gracie's is a beautiful, clean, and welcoming environment[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], but I must say I was SHOCKED at how delicious, curated, and creative the menu is! As a Celiac girl, I am used to having very limited options when dining out, especially in diners, cafes, and smaller towns. Not only did Gracie's have tons of gluten free options, but they BAKE THEIR OWN GF BREAD! I had the most delicious Tuna melt I've ever had in my life (they use actual tuna steaks, not the canned stuff), and my family and friends enjoyed items like the mac and cheese, biscuits and gravy, banana fritter, and other assorted baked goods. We loved our lunch so much...we went back the next day for brunch! And OMG, the magic continued. I had a Monte Cristo for the first time in almost a decade (it's never a gluten free option), and it was spectacular. We will absolutely be returning to Gracie's for our post-wedding family brunch. We would also like to have Gracie's cater breakfast for our wedding day! I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you, Gracie's!

I've been wanting to visit Gracie's forever and I finally got the chance! Needless to say, it totally lived up to the hype. I went on a Sunday morning with my boyfriend and we were sat immediately. It's such a cute spot and looks like a classic soda fountain. Their bakery case is the first thing you see when you walk in and it's filled to the brim with delicious donuts and baked goods. We started with a hot coffee and an iced coffee with their pumpkin cold foam. Both were fantastic! For our meals, I ordered the brisket hash with a homemade biscuit and my boyfriend got the full breakfast with an everything bagel. Both dishes were incredible! The hash was absolutely delicious. Our waitress was so kind and attentive - literally everything about our visit was perfect. I also ordered a slice of their pumpkin cake to go and that was incredible too. Highly recommend!

Really liked this place! This isn't just a diner. You can tell the effort, care, and creativity that go into the dishes. My wife had the Cobb salad. It was fresh, and you can check the photo. It's pretty much what you'd expect. I had the Gracie's burger, which was two patties, lots of carmelized onions, pickles, and "truck sauce." It came with nice, crispy shoestring French fries and ketchup. You might find it weird that I mention the ketchup. But it's homemade ketchup and it just might be the highlight of the meal! I am not a fan of ketchup, but this actually tasted like fresh tomatoes, and was pulpy. It just might be what the Barenaked Ladies call "Dijon ketchup." Check out the drinks list because there is a lot of interesting options. The sodas are also made in-house. I had the root beer, and my wife had something called coffee fizz. Root beer was good, the coffee fizz (strong coffee with seltzer) was very weird at first, but by the end of the meal, she had come around to it. I would definitely come back to check out more dishes.

We stopped at Gracie's on a trip upstate on a whim. It was delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is so cute, very well taken care of and the food was all delicious![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have unique items like a cherry rickey drink- house baked cookies and sweets and delicious food options. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was good and the ambiance was very nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would certainly stop by again if I was in the area- and recommend to anyone in the area!

I would have preferred my eggs a bit more runny, but it didn't detract from all the wonderful flavors. I also ordered the concha with cacao and it was softer than any concha I've ever had - which was great. The cacao is subtle but it was definitely there. Service was friendly and timely. I'm definitely a fan and I'd happily stop by again to try more items.

This out of the way corner cafe in Upstate Athens is very homey, open, clean, welcoming and has lots of off beat offerings that a regular passer by would not necessarily expect. It has big windows. For one, they hotly cook-up pizzettes, hot and very flavorful sandwiches, soups, coffees and tea. Right next to the register is a clear glass window box with all sorts of scrumptious sweets, muffins, cakes, tarts, choco donuts and cupcakes - that are made each day, I might add. The display is quaint and spot-on and each dessert is elevated on a tiny cake platter on a doily. Next, all the menu boards (above the counter and to the side) are easily legible, for elderly too. The menu that was handed to me was also not too complicated (2 sides) and was laminated, to avoid Covid. The staff was professional, bouncy (music), well prepared for groups that came and friendly. Some staff even remembered what some of the elderly in line wanted, before they ordered. How is that for manners and style?! Go kick rocks down an alley Starbucks! Lastly - the food and drinks here are simply very outstanding. I do not say that often. My cheese panini-style sandwich had layers of molten and hot cheeses, seared onions and somewhere in that mass also herbs and some dark mustard! It was scrumptious. They serve other classics like turkey, salami, ham sandwiches (some already wrapped for quick sale and go). The Athens Rooster is off the beaten (egg?), no track; (just kidding) but the parking is easy, there are lots of seats and even just simply placing (it's a small gesture, for sure - but chefs like me take note) a large jug full of free lemon water with clean cups on the bar counter at the front, really: makes all the visitors days. Cafe go-ers love those water jugs. Believe me! The Athens Rooster is a well maintained, bright and friendly late breakfast and late lunch spot. The grilled cheese and coffee stayed hot longer than 15 minutes after the sale. Very delicious! Top notch cafe - expertly prepared cuisine. Review: 5+

These days, it feels like every bar has a cocktail menu full of creatively named drinks that require reading a list of ingredients just to figure out what you're ordering. At Governor's Tavern, if you want a gin and tonic, you simply ask for a gin and tonic. The only decision you need to make is which gin you'd like. I'm not much of a cocktail person, but I appreciate that not every place feels the need to reinvent the wheel. The place was packed at lunchtime, but we got lucky and grabbed a pair of seats across from the bar. The server who I quoted was genuinely friendly and welcoming.
