I walked in a few weeks ago with a vague idea for some cookies I wanted for my daughter's high school graduation party. Michelle spent time talking through my idea until we settled on the right approach, and the final result was the talk of the party! Today I came into Never Forgotten Bakery intending on buying some sourdough bread. I was greeted warmly and right away. The lady working the counter was friendly and knowledgeable about all of their products. In addition to sourdough bread, I also purchased some muffins and veggie bread. The veggie bread made a delicious lunch, the kind where you savor every morsel of every bite. I only ate half, so there's enough for tomorrow too! The muffins look and smelled awesome, but tasted even better than I expected. The bread was fantastic and my husband and I love any sourdough bread, but this one was particularly great! Extremely disappointed with this bakery for the last week it has not been opened according to the website or hours on the door. The team hasn't even put a sign on the door to let customers know their hours have changed. I've have stopped by after work, my husband has stayed awake after a midnight shift (staying up late) to get items. We always try to support local businesses but we're done with this one after they don't give customers the decency of keeping their hours updated. One day okay - but all week, crazy! read more

Never Forgotten Bakery has taken over for the former, Sunflour Bakehaus. The new location is in a strip mall off of Orchard Lake Road. The service is always pleasant and cheerful, and they give you that awesome feeling of community and family. The favorite of mine, and I'm sure a lot of others would agree, is the Old World Bread. It is simple, but delicious. Come a little after 11am and get it still warm. It makes an amazing grilled cheese. It's a must try. Other kinds of bread are made throughout the week and they are always changing for days and with the holidays. Along with bread there is a wide variety of things like cookies, pastries, muffins, and scones. A visit on a Saturday will get you fresh made pretzels that are a must. They have started create a website you can order ahead on some products. Check it out if you are in a hurry. If you are like me, you can hit the gym down the road, burn off calories, and replace them with delicious carbs with no guilt. :) read more

The up side is that they were able to do my order on four days notice BUT the cake itself left a lot to be desired. The cake was dry and the icing had. . . I don't know how to describe it. A grainy texture. It wasn't really smooth. Also, the side of the cake wasn't completely covered in icing. You could see the cake, like it had been raked too close. Definitely too much money for what I got. Half a sheet cake for $60. I'll stick with Costco in the future. read more

A gem full of delicious treats. We love the square shaped cupcakes, and the bumpy cake cupcake! We also tried their simple ingredient homemade bread, took it home and made grilled cheese sandwiches per the owner Michelle's recommendation, and it was delicious. While there, we also talked with another satisfied customer who was raving about the peanut butter cookies and how she drove miles to this place just for them.
