It's been a while since I was there, went with my mom as she was craving some good baklava so I thought Shatila would be a good choice. They had a lot of items available so we got few of most to try and my mom also got the Ossmeliyeh with rose syrup and pistachios. The baklava was good but not the best, I was really expecting a little more from such a known place. My mom did enjoy her Ossmeliyeh. The service was at the verge of being rude so I was not happy about that.

Stinky and dried red velvet cake from Shatila

I wish I could give them zero stars if there were any options. So I been there today with my family and I ordered red velvet cake and some other things . It was stinky and dried. And when I told the lady which was working at the time, first she made me wait for 30 minutes and when I asked again she said that can't you see it's busy and you can leave . I will not recommend this place to anyone. Bad food with rude customer service.

They do have the best Baklava in town for sure. But they do also have the best KANAFE also. They have different kinds of deserts to try and it was delicious to try them out. I waited a long time to try this place and was happy. They opened this second store and is not rush as the main one. This place is hard to find a little but you can find it. Service is good and the place is maintained well. They have pre packed boxes or you can make your own boxes close to same price. And the prices are very reasonable.

If you can't make it to the original in Dearborn this location is a perfect compromise. A smaller bakery but with most all of the treats you want. Petit fours, cookies, baklava, kinefeh, ice cream and coffee. They have seating inside and out and plenty of sweets to accommodate your cravings.

Apparently it is a small family chain of Arabic bakery. The stuff is okay, they have arabic sweets and cakes and ice cream. They all look good but they don't taste that good. Their cake is not very sweet and kinda dry compare to other bakery. They have a bakery in Dearborn too and people told me that Dearborn sweet is better if you are in that area

I love their kanaffe, the process of getting a person to take your order is a bit messy. But I do recommend it for kanaffe!

It's off-season and I needed a raspberry tart to use for flavor cues for a client's launch of their new Raspberry Tart Wafer protein bar flavor. Due to a food allergy I didn't want to style the tart myself. I contacted a number of local bakeries as well as Plum Market, Whole Foods, Zingermans and more. None could accommodate my specific request. Finally, I came across sweet dreams and they were able to make me a beautiful raspberry tart to use for my images, based on the appearance, I wanted and in a timely manner. The location and store seem very nice too. And the pastry itself turned out great! Check out the images to see how pretty it was and how perfectly it worked. First to get desserts, then our wedding reception cake and now to enjoy with our kids when we are back in town visiting. Food (A) The desserts are excellent and they have a ton of options. They are sweet but use high quality products Service (A) Super friendly and fast. Value (A) Can get a ton of sweets for the whole family for around $30-$40. Not expensive and not cheap but just right. Just try them out when you are next in town. Not sure what is driving the negative reviews. I would ignore them as one offs and maybe entirely accurate The positive ones are more in line with my experiences Note - I have probably visited nearly 30 times over the last 25+ years

There is a make your own ramen station so much packed into a tiny spot. But the person working here was really not overly friendly to us. He was certainly friendly to others and his friend who came it, but lukewarm at best if not a tab bit rude to us. Funny, though, there were four of us and we all purchased something. Two of us got the bubble tea. This is not the first Mochinut we have been to, and the tea is super cute in a can, but ensures you get less product (plus way too much ice) for the price. Really, there are better bubble tea places out there for better value. One got a donut. And others have said, while it was good, not as fresh as it could have been. Does that mean they are not moving the product? The other mochinut in Troy and Mochidough in Troy both move a lot of product, donuts taste fresher. We also got some viral ice creams. We got the chicken burger and the mini fruits. Those were both amazing, but not made by the shop. just sold here. Plus the ice cream was so super overpriced, I can get them both for a fraction of the price, but since we were here and it was on my list, I bought them anyway. I am not saying I am not coming, back, but I can buy these corndogs at the grocery store, and get a friendlier service and more value elsewhere, so this could be a one and done for me.

Call it what you will, in simple layman's terms it is a rice flour based treat that has a unique light weight chewy/stretchy texture that can be covered in a host of sweet toppings/glazes for unique flavor profiles. With this definition in mind, the Mochinuts made at this business are very well made and quite tasty treats that just disappear off your plate. How did that happen (: Realtive to facility and staff, the staff is very friendly and spent the time explaining how these treats are made and what makes them unique from a traditional donut. Building itself is quite clean and bright with some indoor seating and sells other items to include Rice Hotdogs (think hotdog on a stick), Mochi Dumplings (think filled Pierogi's), Taiyaki (rice flour fish with fillings), Ramen and Macrons. Definately a rather unique/eclectic menu from what you typically see in this area. I was pretty enamored with all aspects of this business with the exception of their prices where each Mochinut is $4.50 which is quite steep in my opinion. Having said that, I will be returning in the not to distant future as these Mochinuts are just so darn good.

There was no way I was ordering coffee out of there, concerned that the cups might be dirty too! I hope they see this review, throw the entire mop and bucket away and just start over.
