It's been a while since I was there, went with my mom as she was craving some good baklava so I thought Shatila would be a good choice. They had a lot of items available so we got few of most to try and my mom also got the Ossmeliyeh with rose syrup and pistachios. The baklava was good but not the best, I was really expecting a little more from such a known place. My mom did enjoy her Ossmeliyeh. The service was at the verge of being rude so I was not happy about that.

Stinky and dried red velvet cake from Shatila

I wish I could give them zero stars if there were any options. So I been there today with my family and I ordered red velvet cake and some other things . It was stinky and dried. And when I told the lady which was working at the time, first she made me wait for 30 minutes and when I asked again she said that can't you see it's busy and you can leave . I will not recommend this place to anyone. Bad food with rude customer service.

They do have the best Baklava in town for sure. But they do also have the best KANAFE also. They have different kinds of deserts to try and it was delicious to try them out. I waited a long time to try this place and was happy. They opened this second store and is not rush as the main one. This place is hard to find a little but you can find it. Service is good and the place is maintained well. They have pre packed boxes or you can make your own boxes close to same price. And the prices are very reasonable.

If you can't make it to the original in Dearborn this location is a perfect compromise. A smaller bakery but with most all of the treats you want. Petit fours, cookies, baklava, kinefeh, ice cream and coffee. They have seating inside and out and plenty of sweets to accommodate your cravings.

Apparently it is a small family chain of Arabic bakery. The stuff is okay, they have arabic sweets and cakes and ice cream. They all look good but they don't taste that good. Their cake is not very sweet and kinda dry compare to other bakery. They have a bakery in Dearborn too and people told me that Dearborn sweet is better if you are in that area

I love their kanaffe, the process of getting a person to take your order is a bit messy. But I do recommend it for kanaffe!

The beans which are roasted at their warehouse facility yield a very smooth and full bodied coffee with great aromatics with no harsh notes. The cardamon adds a unique tasting note which I have come to appreciate and love when drinking these Yemini coffees. Relative to the facility it is a bright ultra clean restaurant with a nice industrial vibe. The aesthetics of this business along with their superior coffee make for a very enjoyable and relaxing environment to savor your cup of coffee. Nice! Overall great coffee and a nice relaxing environment are hard to beat where you should check this business out if you are in the West Bloomfield area. I will definately be returning in the very near future!

The restaurant is clean and bright and quiet. There were people who were hard at work and others who were quietly talking to each other. There was a place for me to sit and enjoy my macarons. The macarons were so tasty and just perfect. I picked out the strawberry and took the recommendation of the cashier for the other one. The vanilla coffee cake macaron was quite tasty and I would have it again. It was so nice that they were able to switch my large chai from a stay in the cage version (aka a large coffee cup) to a to-go one when I had to leave. That made it even more special. I will definitely come back.

I understand employees may be busy, so that wasn't my concern. What bothered me was the customer service that followed. I asked for a small Berries Delight and pointed to the individual desserts on the left. Instead, the young man assisting me went to the cakes on the right and attempted to hand me a small cake. I politely stopped him and explained that I wanted the personal-sized Berries Delight on the left. He responded by saying, "Those are called slices," in a tone that came across as rude and condescending. I then asked if I could have a fresh one from the refrigerator because the one in the display case looked like it had been sitting there for a while. He insisted the display one was fine, but I repeated that I would prefer one from the refrigerator. He reluctantly got one and handed it to me, saying, "There's your fresh Berries Delight," in a sarcastic tone. I visit Sweet Dreams regularly--between this location and the previous one, I stop in about four times a month. I've always enjoyed your desserts, which is why this experience was so surprising. I've never been treated this way before. I hope this feedback is taken seriously because the quality of customer service should match the quality of your products.

It's off-season and I needed a raspberry tart to use for flavor cues for a client's launch of their new Raspberry Tart Wafer protein bar flavor. Due to a food allergy I didn't want to style the tart myself. I contacted a number of local bakeries as well as Plum Market, Whole Foods, Zingermans and more. None could accommodate my specific request. Finally, I came across sweet dreams and they were able to make me a beautiful raspberry tart to use for my images, based on the appearance, I wanted and in a timely manner. The location and store seem very nice too. And the pastry itself turned out great! Check out the images to see how pretty it was and how perfectly it worked. For some reason, this area is just packed with unique brunch style restaurants and Leeza's is apart of it. Absolutely incredible menu. I love seafood brunch, and this is one of the few places that has shrimp, crab, lobster and salmon available in a variety of dishes. Another item that was unique and incredible was the Potato Pancake Benedict. As someone who is a previous Eggs Benedict addict, but who tries to avoid bread, the Potato Pancake Benedict is one of the best brunch innovations I've seen in the last 3 years. They let you use the modification with any of their Benedict offerings, so I choose to use it on the Crab Cake Benedict. I absolutely loved it. The Crab Cake didn't overdo it on the Cake, and was properly filled with crab (as it should be). The Hollandaise had a great (but not overpowering) flavor and had a nice, thick texture. The dish was an awesome revelation, and I'll be coming back because I don't know anyone else who has it Because I had the Potato Pancakes, I decided to go with the grits as my side and, again, they were unique and high quality. I got the butter and cheese grits and they were incredibly creamy with great, fresh cheese flavor. You also got a great portion, which was much appreciated. The waitress we had was awesome and my coffee was hot, high quality, and filled multiple times. The place has a ton of booths and parking is fine for the most part. This is a spot with so many good menu items that you have to visit multiple times to get the full picture. I'll be updating the review with any other dishes I try.

I couldn't eat the eggs. They were dry and overcooked. Actually the whole meal was dry. He said it was fine but not fabulous. His hash browns needed to be cooked longer. He did enjoy the cinnamon raisin toast. Doubt that we will return. Oh yes, the place could use a good deep cleaning.

What I didn't know before coming here is that coffee originated out of Yemen some 500 years ago where they clearly have perfected the drink where this is a HUGE step up from the week diluted drink we call coffee here in the states.
