This review is strictly related to alterations. I was in a pinch and needed to get a few items altered for my honeymoon. Since this dry cleaners was so close to my home I figured to give it a try. When I first inquired about getting my outfits altered the male owner asked me how much I needed the items taken in. I gave him a rough estimate for each item and he said why don't you come back when my wife is here. So I waited the seven hours and returned to deal with his wife. Right from the start, she was not friendly but had me try on each item and pinned it with safety pins to my desired fit. The initial process of pining my clothes went seamless but it wasn't until she wrote my ticket up that I knew I was being screwed. I was completely shocked at her pricing. I had a few items that needed about an inch taken in at the bust and waist area. I was completely shocked by the amount, but since I needed the items to be done before my honeymoon and didn't have time to shop around for another alteration place I paid the ridiculous amount. Worst part was that after I picked up my items (a day before my honeymoon) some of them were still too big. I have attached a photo of their pricing for my articles of clothing. I had one long dress that needed the hem taken up about an inch and one strap repaired. I also had one strapless dress and jumper that needed to be taken in. The total for the three items came to $64.50!! Simply ridiculous since this job required minimal work to be done. Just go somewhere else. read more

Maybe, but being vertically-challenged, that was the exact situation I found myself in a few months ago - These great fitting dress pants I just picked up and needed for a wedding, needed new hems and fast! After calling around to a handful of cleaners and being told 'No, our tailor is only here during weekdays, between 8a and 3p', I landed on Granada Hills Cleaners. When I asked about getting pants tailored, the man (I would find out later is the owner/operator) said 'Sure, bring them in...' So that's what I did, mid-afternoon on a Saturday! When I walked through the door, Mike saw the dress pants in my hand and said '28 or 29 inseam? I think 29 would be better, you don't want them to be too short and remember you're gonna have shoes on too so they will sit just right.' He was friendly and even humored me and let me put on the pants and shoes so he could measure my inseam - And wouldn't you know it, he was right on and showed me the tape. As soon as I saw that, Mike had earned a customer! I had the newly hemmed pants within a few days and the whole suit was cleaned and looking super sharp with plenty of time to spare! Since then, we've taken shirts and dresses for cleaning/pressing and other pants for hems and they've all come out great! I've came here twice, with what I thought were impossible missions. The first was my prized Babe Ruth jersey, I accidentally stained it with proxy. Brought it here and they removed the stain!
