I believe the barber cutting my hair was newer to the industry, which he told me. And that explains the lack of talent he had. I paid $35.00 for a cut that was much shorter than I requested. My father and I were in desperate need of haircuts and are so thankful we found this place a block and a half from where I live. This place has changed so much in the last 2 years. The prices have gone up to $20 for a basic hair cut, not counting tip. All of the good barbers(Like Sam) have left to that new shop on Euclid. There's no procedure to who gets seen first or with which barber. If Jesse sees you leave the shop he will go outside and cut your hair next, regardless of who was there first. That place is a joke now, it's always dirty with no one cleaning up the hair, the paint job on that shop is the dingiest thing I've ever seen, I don't see how you could pay for that at all. I've checked in there maybe 2 times, my 12 year old likes how they cut hair, they are pretty good, but if your a female bringing your son they are so rude, no welcome, no someone will be with you in a min. So next time I'm getting my haircut with Jesse himself. I got my haircut by the big guy next to the window and it was pretty disappointing. I asked for a medium fade and he gave me a high ass fade. And he went way too high on the back. Wtf dude. I think if I would've asked for a high fade he would've given me a mohawk. Maybe Jesse does a better job. Well - what causes a hair cutter to get such an ego? I mean they cut your hair- not fix your eye sight or educated you on problem solving life altering skills. So here's the situation. Heavy set chick at jesse's barber had cut my hair ( I like it short) for almost a year, weekly I paid her $20 and a $5 tip. Yes- she's the one on the far end! Two weeks ago like usual - I call, she tells me a time and I go and we do this exchange. Well, two weeks ago when I go to get it cut at the time she told me to be there- guess what?- she was at a different location working at the "other" Jessie's barber- one would think this would be the type of information she would share with me. Nah- so I got my hair cut by another member at the shop. Who actually was more precise and cheaper too. So, well I call this week for my cut with her she said sure and told me a time to come but added if I wanted her to cut it I would have to pay for the cut she never performed two weeks prior and pay for this one also. Oh, you know she tripping now. Really? Are you a Dr. of Hair? You got a PhD we don't know about in hair cutting? I was polite on the phone with you but now I'm going to allow the whole world to evaluate your practices. What you do to others will come back on you. And to the owner of Jesse's Barber shop do you condone her extortionist practices? She single handily has brought great shame to your establishment. If she would attempt such with me - I wonder what other unethical business behaviors she practices? We were not welcomed in when arriving and only because I overheard one of the two gentlemen here saying that he was by appointment only did I approach them and ask if I was gonna get our cuts or not. Than he had a guy come in who was clearly his friend and took him in before us. No regard really for high customer service whatsoever. The barber and his friend were holding a conversation using foul language in front of my kids. Talking about females body parts in front of my wife. All around just very rude. So recently I've been rockin with this place and when I mean they don't mess up your hair they don't, I don't ask anything special at all just a line up and a taper but this guy I've never seen before there cut my hair and I asked for a taper and a line and he was cool at first he started a small talk and we were just have a conversation and when I asked him about barber school or whatever it's called he just said people just clocked in and left SO that was the first of multiple RED FLAGS I should've just got up and asked someone else to cut my hair instead but I decided to give him a chance but when he got done the taper I asked for WAS NOT A TAPER AT ALL, might as well shave my sides off my hair was covering my hair so I couldn't really see the line up but I know it was terrible so I ran outta there(i already paid before the cut) and got in the car and checked it out and what I mean by TERRIBLE I MEAN UNPROFESSIONAL, DISTURBING, UNPLEASANT LOOK he pushed my hairline... and I won't be showing my hairline cuz it's that bad read more
