Prices do not reflect the quality of food. High price, super low quality. My Chile relleno was filled with cheese sauce rather the real cheese... Really strange tasting. I also got a burrito and enchilada, both with beef, the beef was bone dry and there was nothing else with it so it was pretty plain and gross. I did not like this place at all. We ordered carry out. When we got home we realized they did not put any cheese on the Botana. The meat tasted like left overs, so did the chips, probably from being under the meat. Both meals were way overpriced for the food quality. I will not go back. We love this place! It's almost a weekly place for us to go and eat. The tortilla chips are warm and fresh and their spicy ranch dip is awesome! This place was horrible. Chips were old and no flavor. Tacos had no flavor or the burrito or tostada. Even the coke was flat. Over priced and dark and dinghy atmosphere. The waiter kept coming over every 2 minutes to take our order even though we told him we were still deciding. I looked up the menu online which was nothing like the menu in the restaurant. I showed him the menu and he said "we no Grand Azteca we Azteca, different restaurant, even though the sign said Grand Azteca. This was my first and last time there. I used to order carry-out from this place pretty often, but now will probably get my mexican fix elsewhere. The food here was always on the mediocre side, but the low price made it worth it. From the few times I have ate inside, service is very hit or miss. There really isn't a single dish here that makes me have to come back. I am not going to say that this restaurant is the worst ever or anything, but getting lackluster service and lackluster food has pushed me from someone that was a somewhat regular to someone that is now looking elsewhere. read more

I came here because I really like the other Azteca locations. This one fell very short. My waitress was a middle aged woman who I assume is named Fina or something like that. She was very rude when I had questions about the menu. Also, she did not check on my table but one time when she brought the check. I thought the food tasted quite old. The chicken was rubbery and the tortilla was subpar. I was very disappointed with my experience here and will not be returning in fear of having the same waitress. read more

Over the years, I have coming there. Great special back in the $4.99 lunch special days now it is $5.99. However currently the last time I went there, it was a bad experience. The Chips where stale, hard and cold. The Server looked confused on the deals. On my lunch plate seem like there was a small residue of a gum on there. It was a bad experience. Outside the building seem slike the wood is falling aprt due to age or rottening away. Inside the look is decent. Some great servers there. I often stop in here to get lunch and sometimes the one on hall road. This one on Vandyke had a young lady working today June 29th as of 3:02pm who had horrible service. I wish I caught her naw. When I walked in she started at me and shrugged her shoulders like what do you want so I waited for her to greet me and she reluctantly said you dinning in or carying out or what. She brings out some somewhat old chips. When I ordered I usually get the number 6 with beans. She was so quick and abrupt to take my order mixed with her horrible greeting that I didn't tell her her. So it came out with rice and I asked for it to be made with beans. She said oh for an extra charge we can. I asked don't you usually have a choice and she just like if you tell us before hand. She rudely walked away like I can have him remake it after she tried charging me for it. While they are in the back I just said I'm good I'll take my business else where your service is horrible. read more

My wife and I made our first visit to the new Hall Rd. location. Before we went we went online to their website and printed the coupon for 2 combo dinners for $12.99. The food was OK but nothing great. When we went to pay our bill we were told the coupon was expired. Upon reading the small print it expired 12/31/2013. We hadn't read the fine print because we had just printed before we left the house. They said the new coupon price was $14.99. We paid the bill and left, never to return. If a business is going to have coupons on their website they should have the common sense to have them current and if they aren't they should honor the prices they are promoting. read more

We ordered a carryout for lunch at the Sterling heights location, they completely messed up our order, at the time of check out I asked for a side of hot sauce, they tried charging me 3.00 for a large salsa when all I wanted was a little hot sauce from a bottle. they told me I had to buy a bottle for 4.00 if I wanted hot sauce. Then we got back to the office to eat our lunch and our order was all wrong. I paid for a beef quesadilla and got a small taco. my nachos had green pepper on it ..yuck! I specifically asked for jalapenos not green pepper, of course there were no jalapenos but a ton of green pepper. When I called to speak with a manager, I got the "assistant manager" who refused to give me the mananger's name. then she finally gave me a name, "silver" who turns out is the GM at the west bloomfield location. After calling around I got the name of the name of the sterling heights manager who is havier. I called back and when I spoke to his son, he said "OH sorry" Bring it all back and we will make a new order" Really? during the work day ? Needless to say we will never return to this terrible restaurant and management. read more
