VERY racist!! my family has been coming here for years (white family keep in mind). we have never & i mean NEVER had to pay for what we didn't eat. i came with my boyfriend (african american male) & my two cousins (white) tonight because i've talked so highly of this place. they charged him (my boyfriend) for an extra meal because he placed his left overs in a box. when questioning why they do this now all of a sudden they had no answer for me. i stated i've been coming here for years... even YESTERDAY i was here and they didn't do this for me. the worker went quiet and smiled in my face. let's also not forget to mention that my boyfriend got hovered over the whole time when it came to paying and was told that HE needed to pay at the table... but allowed my cousins to go straight up to the front to pay where ALL of us pay at and have been paying at for as many years as i've been coming here. why? why was it such a big deal that you got payed by him at the table? and why did he have to pay for a whole other meal because he wanted to take food home? and why did only HE have to pay it? racial discrimination is a terrible habit to build and i hope nobody else has to endure this uncomfortable experience. so many years of love for this restaurant just for them to make me uncomfortable and hate it now..... read more

The food is cheap and plentiful. Whenever a pan emptied out, it was immediately filled. Staff was efficient. The place was packed at 2:00 on a Sunday with the after church crowd. It needs some updating, but it isn't a place you are going to spend that long at it anyway. read more

Do not eat off the buffet. I saw two unsupervised kids take their hands and get everything off the spoons from it. I could not believe my eyes. Food not bad, if you order off their take home menu. Fried rice is bad, lots of filler and onions. Also, no lighting in the parking lot, very dark and seems sketchy area by a Days Inn. Cops there often. read more

I've been here before and it was great but tonight was not good! Plus, I watched one waitress use a plate to push trash down further in the can. Then I literally just watched a waitress hock up her sinuses and spit it in the can in front of me. Omg! Beware!!!!! I wasn't really hungry when I came here so I did not have a variety of foods. I just had sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, and a piece of fried chicken. Pretty good selection of items, could have more sushi items, although a buffet cannot possibly put out high quality sushi, so I get it. Prices are decent and the staff is friendly. I used to be a frequent customer until today....As I was eating an insect ( resembling a small maggot) emerged from my plate! The "manager" told me that it came from the atmosphere() and that I still needed to pay for my food. I told her I would not be paying (I had just got there). Once the other patrons in the restaurant took notice of what was happening and that the bug was still on the table by my plate, she told me that they always keep it clean and if I didnt like it dont come back...Ill be calling the health department today. This place was absolutely disgusting. I was horrified and appalled. I took my family there last year because I was so thrilled that someone finally "revitalized" the building that sat for several years with a leaky roof. I was stunned to see the conditions and atmosphere when I got there. The table alone felt nasty, there was no new or newer furniture or flooring even it's as if they fixed the roof, wiped probably god knows how much mold and pathogens off the existing fixtures got the power on and opened up shop. My kids didn't want to eat, my husband and I tried to eat and after the crab was tasteless Frost bitten and overcooked with homemade signs plastered all over the place to eat what you take and don't waste food I had enough I took my daughter to the bathroom when I had received a video from my husband that showed a clip of a roach crawling behind my daughter going up the wall! After ending the time there and shelling out $55 bucks I walked out feeling just sick and atop of that my kids were still hungry and I ended up getting them food elsewhere. Next few days my husband and I were sick. This is the kind of thing that disgusts me about Cincinnati as this isn't the first eatery I've had this bad of an experience from. How is it that larger more major cities will shut down places like this yet in cincinnasty they get to run amok until one of the places kill someone or causes a major outbreak then the food officials "act" concern... Shame and whoever owns this dump I can't wait for you to get shut down. It's a Chinese place that seems as if they can't cook Chinese oriented dishes even. Of all of the Chinese Buffets that I have visited in the Cincinnati area, this one is the worst. The only item that I rate above barely acceptable is the crab ragoon which was great. Everything else is sub par. Most selections are oily with very little taste. The number of selection at first may look impressive but it really isn't compared to the Hibachi Grill and Buffet in Anderson Township. That place is superior in every way. I will not be returning to the Grand Buffet. I would rather get one entree which is will prepared rather than a lot of dishes poorly prepared. read more

The quality of the food is great! The cleanliness of the place has greatly improved. My only complaint is; last evening a man took the ice cream scoop into the mens room. A server approached the man and asked his reason for taking the scoop in the bathroom. The man replied because it was dirty. The server told the man "NO it wasn't". The server didn't replace the ice cream scooop. She simply allowed the man to get ice cream-USING THE SAME SCOOP-he'd taken into the rest room. Nor, did she replace it after the man had used it. The scoop was left on there with the ice cream for some other unsuspecting patron. I never eat ice cream there anyways and after last night, that's not gonna change. read more
