Enjoyed our brunch at grand Day. I had the meaty omelette which was packed full of meat. It came with several sides that I don't usually eat, but I did try the hashbrowns. They were very tasty. We also had a breakfast sampler which they like. Service was good and the restaurant was a typical café, neat and clean.

The food was good. We had the breakfast lasagna and classic eggs Benedict and the pistachio rose cappuccino. I didn't care for the flower petals in my coffee but the flavor was great! Eggs Benedict ham/Canadian bacon was a bit too thick for me but the poached eggs were cooked perfectly. The service was great and [[HIGHLIGHT]]atmosphere is great. Very cozy and very busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating is a tight squeeze at the tables. May request a booth next time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Locals only! I'm not sure how many years I passed by Grand Day Cafe. Too many to count. (Mostly after closing time to be clear.) This is a breakfast / lunch joint only. Closes by 3 PM. It hits all the cafe notes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Busy, friendly wait staff, food that actually looks like their menu pics, and a family vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Happy to finally make the time for a lunch trip. Cannot wait to come back!

Came back to Ohio to visit friends and my best friend took me here for brunch. I ordered the country fried steak with eggs and hash alongside white toast (one of my favorite breakfast foods) and it was delicious! Our server was very attentive and made sure to check on us regularly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is quite intimate but definitely gets packed quick during brunch time![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We came for brunch around 11 and waited about 15 minutes to be seated. I didn't get to try their bubble teas but they all looked really good. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in Columbus!

With the departure of many traditional breakfast haunts in the UA/Grandview area, we decided on this place for a Saturday brunch in the summer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots of seating with counter, indoor, and outdoor options.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking, as it was a weekend morning was ample-might be trickier on weekdays. We were greeted by friendly staff and a massive menu. The menu was augmented by specials shown on a large screen TV or via QR code. So many delicious options! Boring traditionalist that I am, I opted for eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast. The others went for more exotic fare, and it took awhile to decide for them, as the menu is so vast! Coffee always refilled promptly. Ice water, too. And it bears repeating...a super cordial, efficient, and helpful staff. This will be a new favorite in heavy rotation. A grand day, indeed.

Nice and friendly staff, the food was very delicious everyone was satisfied! If you come here they have something that even the most picky eater would love. The pancakes were very delicious and filling. The cooks in the kitchen cooked the food fast, [[HIGHLIGHT]]small place with large crowds.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But not a long wait time. I'll definitely come back!

I HAVE FOUND MY FAVORITE DINER IN COLUMBUS AND IT IS GRAND DAY CAFE. I took my friends and family here now two times and every time we walk out of there with smiles on our faces and full bellies. You truly cannot get a tastier filling breakfast for a better price anywhere else. The staff is so friendly and provides excellent service. The restaurant is a little smaller but it's cozy and super clean and cute. Our favorite is the country fried steak. It is cooked to perfection, comes with eggs and toast and oh my lanta is it delicious. To me it beats Cracker Barrel and Bob Evans. We also loved the pancakes and breakfast burrito. Hope your friends and family love it as much as we do!

Good food with friendly service. We met as couples and everything was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Casual relaxed dining without the pretention.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I finished my plate - no problem. Server was particularly good.

Our group of six adults stopped here on our way out of town on a Sunday morning...we weren't really sure what to expect since weren't not from the area. I am SO glad we stopped! We were seated immediately, which was great because we made it in just before it started to really pick up. Menus were a QR code which I don't love but when I saw their vast selection it makes sense! Basically any breakfast food you've ever heard of and some you haven't, is available to order for decent prices. I had a cheese omelet with hash browns and biscuits and I wish I'd remembered to take a picture of it before I started eating. Delicious! I also had an iced hazelnut latte with a sprig of fresh mint in it. Service was on point, she brought us refills of water and coffee and soda before we even needed to ask. All of us enjoyed our meals and left stuffed. Too bad they're two hours from home, otherwise we'd become regulars.

Excellent service and food. Plenty of natural light and extra light. Tables and booths for seating. Can hold large groups. Very clean. Friendly staff. Checked on us enough to see if we needed anything. My easy over eggs were cooked perfectly. The potatoes were browned nicely. The bacon and English muffin were also good.

Love this simple breakfast place for their variety, service, and price. Cost $15 | Rating 10/10 Been here before will be back again. The restaurant is simple breakfast place with outdoor seating available. Regularly busy so best for groups of 4 or less per table. Their menu always has something new to try and every dish I get is exactly as described. This time I did a wrap with a side of loaded home fries! Portions were bigger before but the smaller portion still fills (just not left over) and for the cost it is well worth it. Service is quick and friendly and they always end with "Have a grand day". I appreciate that they give checks early but never rush you to leave. This will always be my #1 Columbus brunch location!

It's ok. Decent breakfast but nothing really stands out. Pretty generic food. Not a bad place but nothing special.

Let's start with the pancake balls. The signature dish is absolutely out of this world. You can get them filled with Nutella, dulce de leche or Apple/Pumpkin butter. These little morsels of goodness are worth the trip alone. We also had the Pueblo BLT Sammy with the sweet and spicy bacon (that's right this is a thing that must be tried to be believed). We started with a Hot Apple Cider, topped with maple-infused whipped cream and cinnamon, along with a couple of hot coffees. The cider was warm, comforting, and full of cozy fall flavors. Unfortunately, the self-serve coffee station wasn't kept stocked, and after waiting quite a while for a refill, we eventually gave up. For breakfast, we ordered two Mushroom Frittatas, a Fresh Buttermilk Biscuit, and a side of Housemade Breakfast Sausage. The Mushroom Frittata featured three hearth-baked eggs with roasted mushrooms, sweet onions, and Gruyère cheese, served alongside breakfast potatoes and a peppery arugula salad. It was flavorful, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. Although I informed the staff about my peanut allergy, I was surprised to find the crispy breakfast potatoes on my plate, which left me uncertain whether the allergy request had been fully communicated to the kitchen. The Fresh Buttermilk Biscuit, served with strawberry preserves, was one of the highlights of the meal. It was flaky, buttery, and wonderfully moist, pairing perfectly with the sweet preserves. The Housemade Breakfast Sausage consisted of two peppery pork patties that were juicy and well-seasoned, making a great accompaniment to the rest of the meal. Overall, we enjoyed a delicious and filling breakfast with fresh, high-quality ingredients. While I wish the coffee station had been monitored more closely and that greater care had been taken regarding my food allergy, the Mushroom Frittata and fresh biscuit alone make Northstar Café worth returning to.
