When I asked for hot sauce, my waitress brought over a plate and made a happy face with sriracha sauce. Well, a happy face if the happy face cut itself shaving. Grilled veggies and sriracha sauce? Sizzling goodness. The grits were more satisfying than I thought they would be. Thick and solid. Manly grits. I asked the waitress for more butter and she said, "There's a little packet of butter right here." I said, "I know. I already used it." Then she brought over a small bowl of butters. I wanted to tell her, one butter should have been sufficient, but I would butter my butter if I could figure out how. I asked the head guy if they also owned the Dragon Donuts and the Mark Pi's next door and the Happy House across the street. He said, "No, too much money and I don't have enough workers now." The fried chicken eggs benedict was good; they use chicken tenders for the fried chicken parts and you get two strips, with two eggs, two english muffins, and your choice of sides. The eggs were a bit overcooked and didn't run as much as I would have liked, but still very good. Their country fried steak, sausage, home fries, hash browns, and gravy are delicious as well! I especially like their breakfast that includes pancakes because I get sweet and salty. Everything is made well and is what I expect when I think of or crave breakfast foods. Their portions are generous for their prices! The meals are delicious and comforting. Staff is super nice and checked on us a lot. The owners (we think) are super nice and welcoming. They greeted us, talked to us, and even gave us a free muffin to go. The owners showed us their appreciation and we're just very welcoming and warm. This place is always always busy when we come and they aren't open all day, so we really enjoy the days that we can come and enjoy a meal here. One of my family's favorite places for breakfast. It definitely helps that it's family owned and operated. We love that culture and the environment. The food is always hot, tasty and consistent. It delivers well too, but we prefer to eat in for the comfort and coffee. Our favorites are the Eggs Benedict (my Husband), Crab Benedict (Father in Law), French Toast & Banana Nut Pancakes (our daughter), any of the classic breakfast combos (myself). There's never been a wait when we've popped in, but I anticipate if there ever were, the wait time would be reasonable. The wait staff is always courteous, respectful and helpful. I really enjoyed my visit here! Came for brunch on a Saturday around noon. We wrote our name down and it was about a 10 minute wait for 4 of us. They have nice free easy parking outside. The menu was very extensive and had lots of options to choose from! I got the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant with sweet potato fries. It was $12 and it was delicious! I loved the sandwich and the sweet potato fries were a good crispyness. Everyone else at my table enjoyed their meal as well. They all looked nicely plated. The waiter was nice and attentive. Me and my friend came on a Saturday for a very late brunch around 1:45 pm. The place is spacious with bright wooden furniture (very classic breakfast place). We were seated immediately. Our waitress, Jasmine, seemed like the nicest person in the entire world. She was effortlessly pleasant and welcoming. She already had a coffee pot ready when she first greeted us and promptly brought out our waters and orange juice. The hash browns were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The fried chicken fingers were delicious, extremely crunchy and flavorful! Thé hollandaise sauce was deliciously creamy, with a citrusy tone, and the eggs were perfectly poached, perfect for my yolk porn video! Overall, I highly recommend coming here for brunch. There's nothing better than a reliable and tasty diner spot and I'm so glad I finally found one not far up the road. Thanks to Yelp that is! My friends and I woke up starving after a long night of live music and we were hardcore craving some straight up diner breakfast. We opened up Yelp and after browsing for a few minutes we landed on Grand Day Café. They had tons of reviews and several of them mentioned how consistent they were at providing a solid breakfast. We arrived around 10:30AM and we were lucky to have snagged a parking spot right out front. We walked in and the place was packed! We put our names down and after waiting about fifteen minutes our name was called and we were taken to a table. Our server was fabulous and our food was even better! I ordered the Complete Breakfast and it came with two eggs, a drink (I got coffee), hash browns (extra crispy always!), and toast. All for about eight bucks too, score! I also added a side of fruit and I was surprised at how fresh it was. The entire meal was delicious and I ate every single bite. If I'm being honest, our experience was so good that my friends and I came back the very next day. And the very next day it was just as good, the service and the food! "I ate too much" is what I said after leaving Grand Day Cafe. But my tummy was happy and this was a great way to start the day. They have plenty of options for whatever breakfast mood you're in. I got the Breakfast Combo, which had two eggs, meat (I chose the sausage patties), two pancakes, and hashbrowns. A friend of mine highly suggested getting the Grand Day Hashbrown, so I got that as my side (note that it adds an upcharge). IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. I mean, what can be better than crispy hashbrowns, with cheese, onions, and jalapenos? I was so incredibly full after eating my eggs, meat, and hashbrowns, that I barely took a bite of the pancakes before I gave up. Not my proudest moment - sigh. Anyways, the service was great - we were always being checked on by our server to refill our waters and coffee; the food for six of us came out within a reasonable time period. It's not a huge space inside, but we were able to be seated within 5 minutes on a Sunday morning. This is a perfect place if you're looking for a Sunday brunch (or just breakfast, in general), without breaking the bank to eat. They do have a lunch menu and a couple of dessert options, which I have yet to try. They also have a frequent diner card, so definitely ask for that if you dine there a lot! read more

But it felt to me like something I would make at home which isn't what I am looking for when I pay $12+ for a burrito. To elevate the burrito a bit, I took the potatoes I got with it and dumped them inside, which added a good flavor boost. The pico and sound cream added a good freshness to it. It also has really good coffee. They have a mostly friendly staff. I came in with a few others and got some morning coffee. It was busy even for being in the middle of the week. The service was really fast though. A waitress visited our table right away. They also have that one ornery woman that any diner should have. It has a good lunch menu too. The veggie wrap is about $8. It may get slow at times but they keep moving. The overall service was not bad considering how busy it can be. I would come in again with others for Grand Day Cafe. The waiter have me several choices about how the eggs were done - soft, medium or hard poaching. I opted for soft so I could get more of the yolk running down the side.
