Ok, this review is 5 stars to try to address what I think is an undeserved 3 star overall rating. Los Mariachis serves excellent, authentic Mexican food along with excellent Tex-Mex. I lived in the north Dallas area for 39 years and have visited the gambit of outstanding Mexican restaurants before moving to Florida and experiencing the epitome of mediocre or just plain bad. We come to Fairburn once a year at most for the Florida Renaissance Festival. This is our go-to restaurant for dinner from the day we arrive until our final evening here. I haven't had a single menu item that I've been disappointed with to-date. I've had fajitas, enchiladas, and authentic Mexican. The music on weekend evenings is loud. You need to arrive early or be prepared to wait for a table. Seating is perhaps a bit limited for how many people I've seen waiting for their seats. The 22 oz margaritas hit the spot after an 8-hour drive and check-in to the hotel next door. I can recommend the tableside guacamole for starters and the chicken poblano as a meal if you love authentic Mexican food. read more

I recently visited Los Marlachi in Fairburn, GA, and overall had a really good experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and the customer service was phenomenal. Our server, Joey, really stood out. He took the time to educate us on the drinks, had a great personality, and made the whole experience comfortable and enjoyable. We even got into some good conversation--he mentioned he's originally from Oklahoma--which added a nice personal touch. The drinks were phenomenal. They were strong, well-balanced, and refreshing. I had the horchata, and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. I also tried a classic margarita with tajín on the rim--it was strong in a good way and very refreshing. Definitely one of the highlights of the visit. The food itself was flavorful and well-seasoned. I ordered the steak and lobster with mashed potatoes. Everything tasted great, and you can tell they put care into the preparation. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is due to a couple of issues. I asked for my steak medium, but it came out well done, and there was a hair in my mashed potatoes. That said, the way the staff handled it really impressed me. They were extremely apologetic and quickly replaced my entire meal without hesitation. The second steak actually came out even better than the first. Mistakes happen, and what really matters is how a restaurant responds--and they handled it very well. Overall, a great experience, and I would definitely come back. read more

This place was near my hotel and decided to try it for dinner. It is nicely decorated inside with some Mexican dance music playing it was a vibe. I decided to try the brisket enchiladas and they were good but the beans on the side had cilantro and pico and I couldn't get enough. Usually not surprised by the beans but these were delicious. The chips and salsa were also very good. The chips were not too thick and the salsa had a great fresh taste. My server checked in on me often and got more salsa for me twice. read more

Chips were warm and crunchy and salsa was good- not too spicy or salty. My only complaint was that the music was EXTREMELY loud. You had to yell across the table to speak to your partner. I went her to celebrate my friend's birthday. Upon arrival, there was a parking lot that made it easy to find parking that doesn't cost. When I walked in, I instantly when to the table my friends were seated. When I sat down the waitress asked if I wanted food yet I hadn't looked at the menu. She refused to take my drink order until after the food order was in. So I rushed to place a food order and ended getting something I didn't really want. The food ended up being ok and edible. The restaurant was nice and was spacious enough for a big party. Also I enjoyed that the staff went around to sing happy birthday to those celebrating. Two coworkers and I went to have a few drinks after work, was FUN! But the bill came and was over $350 - a few "gotchas" (We have signs around the place) that are obscured by the "ambiance" of loud music and disco lights... NEVER go here - you're supporting a SHYSTER who offers up fun, then hopes you're inebriated enough you won't notice the add-ons. Employees were great, but the management wants to EFF YOU BAD. And the food is good, drinks are good - but the service only so-so... and in the end, the disreputable business practices of the manager made this an I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN place for all of us. Failure to update website, menus, and horrible service. I tried to look at their menu online, but the website doesn't work. I then called to place and order for two snapper, which comes with fries and salad. I arrive to pick up my order and it's cheese all on the salad. I asked the receptionist if it can be removed as I'm highly allergic. She was kind and took it to the back. She returned stating the kitchen refused to remove the cheese and she offered to do it herself. She asked if I'd like a manager. I said yes, as I'm sure they would know and understand there are many people in this world with varying food allergies. Well said manager approached with a very piss poor demeanor and attitude. He stated he can't remove the cheese or make me another salad - explained no one else complains of cheese on the salad. I had to LOL - I couldn't believe his statement as if generalizing applies to my situation. I asked for his first and last name, which he would not give until I asked again. I was in the mood for some Mexican. After a search on Yelp, Los Mariachis was where I decided to go! Upon driving up, I love how Los Mariachis sits in the corner of the lot which makes it easy to locate. As the parking wraps around both sides of the restaurant there are ample parking spots which is an added plus... As I walked in I was instantly greeted by the host. There was a pleasant welcome provided and as I was a party of 2 we were able to be seated instantly. The restaurant was super clean. The tables are well spaced as you don't feel cramped or too close to your neighbor. Furthermore, the inside is so much bigger than the outside presents. Once seated our waiter came over and was super pleasant. As we started to review the menu we were provided with warm tortilla chips and a red and green salsa. Sidenote, the tortillas were amazing even without the salsa. I decided to order the Steak Fajitas and I am so happy I did. The steak was well seasoned and cooked as I desired. The fixings were super fresh and the Guacamole was awesomeeeeeeeeeeee. The portion was perfect for the price. I def had leftovers which tasted even better the next day for lunch. LoL! Overall, my visit to Los Mariachis was very enjoyable. The food, service, and ambiance were amazing. This is a location I will start to patronize more often. Special Shout Out to my waiter. He was new to Los Mariachis and I was lucky to be one of his first tables. I believe his name was Kareem (forgive my memory if I am mistaken). He was very nice and attentive to our table's needs. Service was Great we started at small booth and realized we ordered more than the table could fit we were moved no problem. I ordered Mexican corn. Absolutely NOT! It was not grilled and it was not done all the way. The seasoning was not even right. I had 1 shot of Jameson $16 . I'm not coming back. After telling the manager I dislike the corn because it wasn't Mexican style grilled and seasoning wasn't right. He told me it was nothing wrong with it and took $3 off. Friday, 1/24/25 Was my first time visiting this place and I was not impressed. When approaching the entrance an armed security officer comes out to check handbags. I'm like WHAT?!! At a restaurant??This made me nervous. Also when I approached the door I could hear extremely loud music. They have a DJ. The music was so loud that we couldn't hear ourselves talk. I saw that they served Ceviche and I was excited. Nope it's not Ceviche at all!! It was imitation seafood that lack any color, baby tomatoes, guacamole and loads of lemon juice. I was stunned!! The manager approached our table and asked how everything was and before I could tell him he stated that they couldn't take it back and even if I chose another item I would still have to pay for the faux Ceviche. I explained to him that that wasn't going to happen and explained to him why. I chose another item off the menu. One that I felt would be foolproof. When the check arrived I noticed that the Ceviche wasn't listed.. If you're looking for a Mexican Restaurant/Nightclub that serves questionable dishes and an armed guard at the door, this is your place. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent visit to Los Mariachis was disappointing enough that I feel compelled to share. To start, while our server was polite, it took a noticeably long time for anyone to even approach our table. Once we were finally acknowledged, I tried to order a drink flight that was clearly listed on the menu, only to be told it was no longer available--15 minutes later. If something is no longer being offered, it shouldn't still be on the menu--it sets the wrong expectation. When our drinks finally arrived (after an unusually long wait), mine had the wrong rim on it, despite the order being clear. Then came the food--my dish was served with cheese, even though I had specifically asked for it to be removed due to a dietary restriction. At that point, I asked to speak with the manager to voice my concerns. Oscar, the manager, came over with a dismissive, nonchalant attitude. Instead of listening or offering any form of apology or resolution, he excused everything that had gone wrong and seemed completely uninterested in making the situation right. To make matters worse, he walked away while I was still speaking. This kind of service and management is unacceptable. Between the delays, menu inaccuracies, incorrect orders, and lack of accountability, this visit was a complete letdown. Horrible service. I had to go find a server for my table after being seated 10 mins prior. Even after the server didn't get our drinks until 15 mins after taking our order. My order was wrong the server tried to tell me that I didn't order what I told her I ordered. Ask to talk to the manager he was very defensive and didn't care. This was such a waste of time and money. I met up with my friend here and had a blast with her, but the restaurant was just not good. It is extremely loud when you enter, and I didn't get used to it. The customers are loud, so the music maybe could be turned down to compensate, but here it was loud as well. Our waitress was extremely hard to hear and really didn't project her voice when we asked her to clarify things, so we were pretty much in the dark. We said we needed more time to order - then she came back at most a minute later, then after we said it again, prob 30 seconds later. There were lots of awkward interactions. My friend ordered tacos without cilantro and got tacos...with cilantro. I had not had a quesadilla in forever, and nothing stood out in the menu, so I figured I'd go with the "triple" one, because it seemed unique. I will say that the shrimp inside of it was well cooked. But it was a strange item, presented in a way that couldn't be hand held and really didn't lend itself to normal consumption. It was covered in a too-salty, strange cheese sauce (I think??), and the whole thing can be described as gloopy. The chicken was OK too. I barely ate any of it. Overall I would give this restaurant 3.75 stars. I found myself out in Fairburn during a visit to a friend's house and decided to stop here for late lunch at the recommendation of my friend. The food itself was actually great , I was actually very impressed with the options (very extensive menu outside of the norm , ie- tacos and fajitas ), and the food itself was very flavorful and fresh. My guest had the Los mariachis fajitas which is steak, chicken and shrimp. The steak was cooked great (ordered medium and came out that way ). I got the pollo riviera maya which consisted of boneless chicken breast topped with a skewer of shrimp bruschetta , an acidic sauce("jack daniel's mango caribbean sauce "), white rice and all atop vegetables including squash , carrots and zucchini. The chicken was super tender , the white rice was seasoned well. The veggies were nice. Also had a strawberry margarita which was a bit watered down. My friend's house margarita was also watered down. The chips and salsa were good; the spice level catches you off guard a bit at first but in a good way. Our server was very attentive and friendly, no complaints about the service. They even accommodated us wanting to move to a different spot to avoid the direct sunlight. The ambiance was decent overall, they had put up some Christmas theming. I would not come here expecting to be blown away by the decor but it served its purpose; wooden booths along the walls with standard table and chair setup in the middle , basic tile floors. I would say the music was a bit loud inside but more outside , it was blaring through the speakers outside the front doors and along the parking area. WOW!WOW!WOW! We found a fantastic place! While staying at the nearby Holiday Inn, we discovered Los Mariachis. What a pleasant surprise! We are VERY picky & big time foodies too. I had the 3 Amigos tacos. Yum! They were loaded with meat, chicken, steak, and shrimp, respectively, and a strawberry margarita. The hubby had a combination plate with grilled jalapeños & a michilata. The place was packed, the service was friendly & prompt. Highly recommend! Me and a friend came here for dinner after work. We started with the house margaritas since they were $6. They were a little strong, next time I'd ask for a flavored one. For my entree, I decided on the chicken fajitas. The chicken was seasoned and cooked pretty well. The rice was pretty bland and I didn't even try the beans cause they didn't look appetizing.
