You don't come here for the food ..you come here because there is no place else to go in the area . I agree with everyone in the comments, the language barrier is STRONG. You will not get what you order 60 percent of the time , much like room service in an all inclusive hotel . The food is basic not as good as La parillia, not as bad as la Hacienda. I will give them a few starts because their alcohol drinks are great. If you are going for a cocktail and nachos your in good hands . Food is pretty good but way over priced. Good thing it was decent because we got way more than we ordered. Due to a language barrier we could not get her to understand we wanted "one" - uno combination to share between two people. Not two plates, uno! We got two full plates. We asked for a cheese dip. She brought the menu and asked, "you want guacamole or queso dip". We pointed at the queso dip and thought it was clear. Nope! We got beef queso, which was nowhere near the location of regular queso on the menu. $11 for a sort of large dip. Way overpriced and not what we asked for. My wife went and spoke with the manager and we ultimately gave up trying to explain, paid the bill and just won't be back. We will just go get steak for this price. read more

Coming from a LA native ... Tacos are not it! Tortilla taste is really bad . The chorizo meat was good. The tamales were dry but meat was decent inside. Really the only food that was good, was habanero wings.. definitely was not expecting that since this is suppose to be authentic ... read more

The service is terrible in Palmetto, GA. . The manager has a very nasty attitude. I do not recommend. The manager cant take to go orders correctly. When she messes up and you ask for a refund, the refund is rejected and she says that the food is already made. What restaurant does this!! I hope corporate see this!! read more

Food is spot on authentic Mexican, we go once a month and it has been consistant. the wait staff are very fiendly and helpful with everything from Host to waitress. comparatable Green Chili resturant in Yukon. the atmosephere is casual dining with TV Screens to watch sporting events. read more

Late night choice with bae after work. I arrived a little later however the party started without me lol. Bae ordered a margarita and tamale to pass the time while waiting on me and this Mexican food expert said it was delish. I arrived an a drink was at my table within 3 minutes, it was a black cherry margarita hmmm. The drink was a little sweet and I didn't taste any alcohol however it looked good. I ordered the chimichanga dinner for dinner and it arrived quickly. It came with rice, beans, salad and the main feature covered in cheese. It was fill in and good. I walked in to get take out and nobody acknowledged me when I came to the front counter. 6 employees passed me and no one asked if I needed to be seated or get take out. Also , their phone number doesn't work and they don't have an official website. Bad business. I will not be returning here. read more

The Staff was very friendly. The restaurant offers daily specials. I came on Tuesday for the $2 tacos. Be mindful that this special only includes shredded chicken and/or ground beef tacos. Fancy stuff like steak, carnitas, chorizo is still full price. This is understandable & fine with me. There was a nice variety of fixins, everything I asked for was provided. Queso, lime, cilantro, rice & beans, the server even offered lettuce. Salsa & chips come complimentary and does not disappoint. It has a nice kick but not too spicy... flavorful while still being accessible to most. Try it on the tacos! I recommend that you stop by, and not just for $2 tacos ;) read more

I'm visiting Georgia. I am staying near a hotel to this Don Nachos. I arrived at 1:32am and I checked prior to arriving that their closing time is 2am. As I'm walking in I see the sign open and the door open. As I opened the door the 2 women and 1 man were working and chatting in the bar (employees) they immediately shouted, " we're closed." Then proceeded to lock the door as we were inside. Very rude, unprofessional, and false advertising that they were still open. I had planned to just order to-go, but now I will avoid going here for the remainder of my trip. read more

I like Don Nacho's. Never really had an issue with their food. A good option and the service is usually always good.

The wait staff are all really nice and accommodating. The food is terrific. Hot chips. And you can't beat their Texas margaritas.

Stopped in while passing by. It's been recommended to us by several friends. The booths are the most uncomfortable booths I've ever sat in. We ordered the cheese dip which was very good. The chips Were cooked fresh and the salsa was yum! I ordered the quesadilla with chicken and steak and my son had a combination plate. His food had a puddle of grease but he said it was good. My quesadilla was delicious. Our waitress was friendly and patient. We stop by again if in Palmetto. read more

The ambiance was okay, food was very bland and greasy, we ordered the Don Nacho sampler and the Nachos Al carbon had a drizzle of what tasted like velvet a queso. After our server cleared our plates she disappeared for 15-20 minutes, we had to ask for our check and an auto gratuity of 15%was already on the bill. Food was hot but mediocre. Bartender unable to make a blue long island, so I waited for 15 minutes for another bartender too make it before I gave up and got a beer. Had to ask for water multiple times... seriously?!?!? The place was not packed and there was only 1 other customer at the bar. My server/bartender completely disappeared so I was cashed out by another server. I went here based on the positive reviews but will not be returning. This is my Go-To spot for Street Tacos. The carne asada tacos are my favorite and I order them every single time. Just recently I stopped in and asked one of the young men if he could make a drink for me if I told him what I wanted in it. He happily obliged. He knocked it out the park! (I failed to get his name but he's always there and always so friendly). I visited again just a few moments ago and noticed that he was not there but then I met Peter who was also just as friendly and accommodating. I told him what the ingredients of the drink were and he, too knocked it out of the park! He asked me my name and when I told him, he said we're naming this drink after you! Wow! Wow, I haven't been to a Mexican restaurant this good in a while! The service was immaculate and the food was delicious and you could definitely tell it was fresh compared to other restaurants. What I was super happy about though was not only the variety of foods and options they had (including drinks) but also the authenticity of some of it. They served Tamales verde and Tamales rojo, which so far every Mexican restaurant I've ever been to had never served them but they're delicious!! I've never had them in a restaurant before but always outside, and the quality and authenticity is really nice. 100% recommend this place!! read more

So I decided to give them another try and yes you can see that it went from 3 stars to 4 simply because the food was very good and had a homemade taste to it. According to one of the hostesses, it's only been around for about a year. It has a nice ambience. All of the staff are wearing masks and adhering to the new strict COVID-19 operating standards (everyone is wearing masks, they are open for dining-in but people are spread far apart, options for takeout, etc.) The Staff: The staff was great, SO friendly. We were chatting with the hostesses and servers the WHOLE time we waited for our takeout order. Even after we got our food, we lingered for a few minutes talking. Cool people. The FOOD: the people in my group got fajitas, maybe a quesadilla, and a burrito combo. Everyone seemed really happy with what they got. BUT you HAVE TO try the chilaquiles! That's what I got and they are the best chilaquiles I've had (at a restaurant, that aren't homemade). Being Mexican, my standards for Mexican food are very high. I have never had chilaquiles from a restaurant that weren't a soggy, cheesy, goopy mess. These chilaquiles are crunchy, a tiny bit spicy (for the average person, but the perfect little bit of spice for those who like spicy food) and delicious -- just the way real chilaquiles should be. Go and try them! **BUT, a quick note before you do. The Chilaquiles normally come with steak and eggs as their protein. I have never had it this way. In order to blow your mouth's mind the way I did, you want to ask for the chilaquiles "Mateo Style". That's where they substitute the steak for chorizo, and you'll be glad you did . Enjoy! *** SIDE NOTE: "Mateo Style" doesn't actually exist, but ask for it anyway when you explain your substitution .
