I love this nail salon! This is your spot! I have been coming for over a year now and waited to write a review. I usually call Denny and request Ann and Ha for a gel mani and classic pedi. I have lately been trying the pedicure upgrades and Ha's foot/leg massage is to die for. My gel mani by Ann always lasts 3 weeks or more if I am gentle with my hands. I also love Tee! I tried to like this location. I suffered through at least one or two management changes and upgrades. Several really good techs disappeared and vanished mysteriously. Poof. You're gone. I would try to get a nail tech that I liked and request them for service. Something always happened and they disappeared. They were on vacation etc. I always ended up with people that I did not like. Something about really thick nails that has to be changed at grand nail salon. Pedicures seem to be something that's very basic. I came home with thick calluses. I wish the attendant would have suggested that perhaps I needed some more attention to the calluses on my feet. Instead, I came home and felt I had wasted my entire visit. I had one too many dip,-nails -thick, thick nail visits. I went to a salon in another city, didn't say anything about the nails, and they commented immediately about oh thick nails not good job. All I could do is shake my head and say yes very thick, ugly nails. Fourth time by that person and they did me wrong. They wasted my time and put thick dip nails on my fingers. Now I go to French Nails in Grapevine. Sadly, one of those ugly dip people is working there. I only and specifically want females to work on my toes and fingers. Can't figure out what I did wrong and why that person at grand nails did me wrong- after the fourth visit HE made my dip nails so thick. Ugh. Horrible! I love French Nails in Grapevine, but I do suggest that you watch out for the male employees and use them carefully. My sister-in-law brought me here right here her and I am super particular on pedicures so I wasn't expecting to be as relaxed and impressed as I was!! We called the night before and scheduled appointments which is highly recommended from what I hear. I got Nancy which her massages were phenomenal! The massage itself was 25 minutes with hot stones and hot oil and almost put me to sleep! You get to choose the aromatherapy of your choice I chose the lavender depending upon what scent you choose coordinating flowers are put on the tray and sea salt scrubs that have a theme with the pedicure. The pedicure i received from Nancy was relaxing, not rushed, professional, served with 2 margaritas which is never disappointing ha! They also serve white or red wine complimentary. I haven't been here in a little while and just had the worst experience I've ever had with my nails. I paid A LOT of money and waited HOURS for the one person who could do "special nails" - aka, nails with the pretty foil on them. The woman who did my nails was so nice and great. She really did try her best, I believe, and I thank her for that. Unfortunately, her work did not hold up. Within 3-5 hours, I started noticing the foil coming up. I tried to clip the ends so they wouldn't continue to come up, but overnight multiple foil pieces had come off completely. I couldn't believe that 7/10 nails had problems by the morning. I immediately went back the next day to have them just take the foil off and do mermaid nails. I couldn't risk keeping the same because I had events over the weekend that would keep me from being able to come back if they kept messing up. They told me they couldn't redo the nails multiple times. Tried to take the top off and put glitter on the pink dip I had from the original nails and told me that was pretty. I didn't want that and they tried to talk me into it. They spent another 10 minutes trying to figure out how they could get around actually having to do my nails all over again. Apparently this is the only place that says it would "hurt too much" to redo the entire nail. Finally they decided (against my want and after me asking 10-15 times to do them over completely) to shave half the dip off and paint black gel nails over it. They ended up putting the mermaid glitter and color on my black nail and it was good enough for the time being. I THOUGHT I was done... NO! The day of my big birthday outing, THE GEL PEELED OFF OF THE DIP NAIL ON TWO FINGERS!!!!!!! I'm beyond disappointed with the manager and this store. I've been here twice in the past month. Both times I felt rushed and the nail tech did not care. First time I came on a weekday. It was not busy. I was sat immediately and the person at the front desk started to take off my old nails. I was then transferred to another nail tech that was constantly turning her head to check the front door. She was rushing the entire process to the point where she was legitimately filing the skin around my nails instead of my actual nails. I asked for round tips and to add any fake tips in case my nails weren't long enough since 2 came off. She did not add any until I had to ask for specific nails to be longer. The shape was absolutely terrible. I tried to tell her multiple times that each nail looked very different. I started to think she had an appt come in early because she was talking with another customer that walked in while she was doing my nails and the customer said "no worries! I'm early!" My nails were completely rushed and honestly was not what I wanted. I took this as a lesson learned and would not return for nails. My second return today for a paint change on my toes. This was my 3rd salon to try since all others were busy. I went in hoping to give them another try to only be disappointed again. I was completely rushed AGAIN. If you're busy, I will wait so I can get quality service. There were indentions in the paint from her that she didn't fix. I had to point them out 3 times for her to understand. One of the quickest and worst manicures and pedicures I've had. I felt like everything was half-assed. I especially loved how she quickly touched each cuticle with the cuticle pusher without actually pushing any skin. The "7 minute massage" was about 30 seconds of rubbing lotion on my arms and my fingernails are weirdly shaped and rugged. Their OPI selection was also sub-par with very few summer colors. I had an older lady who, first of all, cut me with the nail nippers. She also didn't give me a choice between paraffin and hot stones - She just showed up with the paraffin at one point, and I had to ask for the hot stones instead. She burned the top of my foot with one of the stones, as well. (Believe me when I say I generally have a high pain tolerance, so I assure you I wasn't just being a baby... ) The biggest problem, though, was that I tried to tell her that I wanted only a small amount of the glitter top coat. There was definitely a prominent language barrier, so I'm sure that's the reason my request didn't get through. So when she finished--and I hesitated, because I didn't want to be THAT customer--I decided I was unhappy with one of my big toes and asked her to re-do it with less glitter. She proceeded to do the oddest thing... She Dremel-ed about half of the polish away, which left patches of bare nail and patches of the polish... And she filled in the bare spots with the glitter. Wtf?! I told her no. No, that wasn't acceptable--that she needs to remove EVERYTHING. She started using the Dremel again, and I saw how thin my nail was getting. Because she was so clumsy with the nippers and the hot stones, I was really, really nervous she was going to get carried away with the filing. I reached down to kind of intervene, and she got upset, stood up, and walked away as she called out to another employee. He came over right away and took care of me and was very kind and accommodating. But that woman has no business doing nails. When I got a better look at the final product, I saw that she hadn't bothered to wipe away the excess polish from the base of most of my toes. So now there's this lifted-up edge on them that shouldn't be there. Terrible, terrible experience. Also, backing up to when I first arrived... I had told both the front desk people and my nail tech. (the older woman) that I was waiting on my mom, meaning that I wanted to wait on her before we actually got started. The nail tech. was ready to just dive right in, and I had to tell her twice that I was waiting on my mom. She finally understood when I got more firm and told her to basically stop. I also had to ask twice for water (I had also checked "water" on their sign-in form, where it lists some of their beverage choices). A different woman did my manicure, and she was friendly and talkative, but she did my polish kind of half-assed. It was really uneven on one of my thumbs. And by the next day, half of my nails had begun to chip or lift up at the edges (I got gel). I paid $100 plus tip for all of it... My mom's experience wasn't much better. Prices are going up everywhere, but the service and product/results aren't keeping up with it. It's becoming so difficult to find a decent nail place. read more

I would just like to say I loved this salon until today. My coworker and I went to get a mani/pedi after work and relax.... we get there and everyone's so nice and we sat down but then when everything started it went very down hill. I loved the lady that did my pedi but the lady that did my nails did not care about actually making me (the client) happy. I told her I loved my previous shape and didn't want to touch that or cut. She clearly didn't listen because she re shaped all my nails and one hand is way long than the other. I let her do her thing since she already messed up and I wasn't gonna say something else just for my nails to be even shorter. As it came time to close the manager came and asked me can I pay for you, I responded no. He said you don't wanna pay I said no, not yet. (Planning to talk to him after the service was complete). My friend and I were the last two in the salon and as I went to go pay I asked to speak the manager because I was not happy with my nails. I am the client at the end of the day and should leave happy. When I asked for someone to go get him they said oh he left. I don't understand why the manager left before close? The nail techs then decided to call the manager and have me talk on the phone. He started getting very mad telling me they can cut all my nails off and go somewhere else. The MANAGER was yelling at me over the PHONE. This is a business at the end of the day and you try to make your clients or whatever it may be happy so they will tell people about the salon and come back. I was not going to talk to a manager on the phone that is so unprofessional so I asked the lady to turn the phone off speaker and she hung up on him. (Thank you nice lady) I showed my nails to the other nail techs saying " y'all do nails everyday I know y'all know these look bad" they agreed. The Lady that did my friends nails she did an awesome job but killed it all by being so disrespectful and rude. This was the worst service and experience I've ever had. I work for a salon and if my boss were to hear about me doing this to a client I would be fired immediately because we want our clients happy and to come back. If our clients are unhappy we do everything in our power to fix it no matter what. Instead I was yelled at and told I can get all my nails cut off. This place is THE WORST. I don't get my nails done hardly ever, let alone fake nails. My friend goes here and she asked me to come with...so I figured id pamper myself. I got there before her and was immediately asked what I wanted as they shoved fake nail things at me. I didn't know what they were so I asked the difference between gel, dip and acrylic. They seemed very unamused and annoyed and also unable to answer my question, so I waited for my friend. This was worse apparently! They asked me about 5 times what I wanted while I was waiting for her to arrive, as if I was taking up space by sitting in a chair by the entrance waiting. They forced me to be seated before she got there...So, I just found a picture and told them that was what I wanted. They said I needed "dip" Which is the most expensive option...whatever. I was tired of the language barrier and rude attitudes. After everything was all said and done I was never offered a drink, they charged me $5 extra for Matte...which is just a different top coat, so not sure why they did that, and also no massage. They said the dip doesn't come with a massage...WHAT?! What is the point then? I got the most expensive option, with an apparent add-on as well (matte finish) and no massage OR even water. To top it off, does this look matte to you? NO! Its shiny, and you can see the crappy buffing they did...There are streaks all over my nails and they are lumpy. This salon is beautifully done inside. There are so many stations so they can handle all of the traffic. The pedi menu was great... They have many different options, including a basic/affordable pedi option. I got the mid-level, tropical pedicure. They used fresh fruit and flowers. For some weird reason, I passed out in the chair... it could have been the fumes from the nail polish, idk... But I will say that the staff took great care of me, and I greatly appreciate that. Overall it was a great experience, and left feeling like it was money well spent. When I spoke to a manager regarding the color, he told me the only thing I could do was pay for a whole new ($40) manicure to change the color.
