I'm going to jump this review up to 4 stars because of the friendliness here. The food is average. Its not bad but its no gourmet burger shop (yet). The burgers are not cooked to order buy they do start at $7.50. Add $.50 for topping and $1 for stuff like bacon or a fried egg or grilled mushrooms. The regular fries and home fries, big thick potatoe wedges. The western fries are your regular fries. A bad naming convention but both are good. The reason I am giving this 4 stars is because there are always people here. At least someone, where the rest of kremmling is a ghost town. We walked in after the kitchen closed and the cook/manager/local dude told us he could whip us up a burger. This was a God send after hauling a heavy truckload or stuff back up to the steamboat area for the second time that day I wish they'd play more sports on the TV and get a thermometer so they can cook the burgers medium rare. The service was pretty good . The guy seemed rushed but that's because he was the only server. He was still great though. The food came out in about 20 minutes so it was good. I got the "Single Deluxe" burger (with bacon) and my daughter had chicken strips. I like the restaurant's decor and authentic local vibe, but in truth the food was average at best. Having everyone turn to look at you when you walk in is not a plus. Still, it's probably the best option for many miles around. read more

Don't normally give 5 stars, but no option for 4.5. We were there at a not busy time and service was good. My feeling was that they would try hard for good service when busy. We ordered off the lunch menu. Items ordered were the burrito, a BLT and a cup of pork green chilli. All were quite tasty and reasonably priced. read more

Found this restaurant via Yelp when we left the Rocky Mountains. We were absolutely not disappointed. The service is very good and friendly. Restaurant is very clean. We had a very good quesadilla with spicy green chili, southwest salad and the kids couldn't get enough of the popcorn shrimp. You should definitely stop here! read more

I was staying in Kremmling for a couple days for business, and happen to eat here one night. It was probably the best French Dip I've ever eaten. The hospitality was warm and the food was fabulous. What a wonderful find! read more

Food is good, except don't get the $18 chicken fried steak, it is puny at best. My biggest gripe is we got there at 4 pm, we were hunting in the area and had been out since 5 am. We were told they don't serve dinner till 5 pm, but the dinner special was prime rib. No big deal, So we ordered an hors d'oeuvres and drinks and waited till 5. However shift change happened at 4:30. Our waitress left, and the new waitress (using that term loosely) was surly at best. She starts taking dinner orders before 5pm, then comes to our table last to get our order, which means we got our food after everyone else that came in after us . My husband was ready to leave, we tried repeatedly to get the waitress's attention she just popped off " in a minute", we had only waited 90 minutes at this point. But it doesn't end there, she forgot my soup and salad, remembered my husband's but forgot mine. Then when I finally got it had wrong dressing. I stopped complaining at this point. We ate our food and then waited....and waited. My husband had to go to the bar finally to get our $70 tab. No we did not tip her. My husband was ignored while waiting for the check. We ended up leaving half of my prime rib because we couldn't get to go boxes. I feel bad for our original waitress but I knew she wasn't getting our tip. What really chapped my husband is people that knew the waitress were getting exemplary service and we were treated very poorly. When we walked in the restaurant was empty, so being busy was not the excuse. Oh well, we won't make that mistake again. I want to add my husband has been selling me on this restaurant since 1993. And the three times he has taken me they treated us really poorly. My husband has a long fuse, today he had a contact switch and wanted to blow. read more

I'm a single dad, traveling from Kansas City through Colorado with my two daughters, ages nine and six. We stopped in this restaurant not knowing what to expect. The place was super clean and got really busy around lunch time on a Sunday during tourist season (July 16, 2017) We ordered a burger, a French dip sandwich and the kids Mac and Cheese. The food came out just the way we ordered and really well prepared by the chef. Hands down though what makes this place special is the customer service. Our young waitress was absolutely amazing. She was bubbly, and her smile never left her face. It was infectious. It made me want to smile more! Even with the lunch crowd, Ashley M performed flawlessly and with grace. My brother and I were on a road trip through western Colorado and we ate here on Monday night. If you like the Old West, you should give this restaurant a visit. We loved it, in every aspect. From the welcome to we said goodby. For an appetizer, we ordered the fried pickles. With their special sauce, it was a hit and got my tastebuds rolling. We both ordered the ribeye steak dinners. Cooked to perfection. Our iced teas complemented our meal, and for dessert, I had fresh banana cream pie. It was the best I ever had! Prices are very reasonable. They do good with practicing social distancing and we were in glad company with other deer and elk hunters. Love this establishment!! read more

We wanted this to be good, but, unfortunately, it's not. Expensive, mediocre food with very slow service. It was probably 50 mins between the time we ordered and the time the food arrived at the table. When it did arrive, we had to ask for condiments for a dry burger and fries. It's a difficult time for business owners because there is an employee shortage. There were 2 people serving about 15 tables total. I would prefer to order at the front before I sit down. Then I wouldn't feel like the wait staff is just ignoring me. Honestly, we sat at a dirty table and though they removed the food from previous diners, they never cleaned the table. Hopefully staffing will get better and they'll overcome these issues. read more

We chanced upon this place when we were driving out of the Rocky mountain national Park towards Glenwood springs. We were famished after a day of hiking in the mountains and wanted to grab a bite, the place is non pretentious, with quick and friendly service. I had the garlic shrimp that I loved with the potato salad and the onion rings I loved everything! Cute little restaurant centered in Kremmling. Stopped here on the way through and found a hidden gem. We had chili rellanos and a burrito topped with green chili that was spot on. Noticed on the menu that they also serve a hand breaded chicken fried steak, which the next table ordered, and it looked amazing. Added this stop to our favorites. read more

We were a group of six showing up with the post-hunting rush around 730pm. They got us (and everyone else) seated pretty quickly. The service was fantastic despite how busy they were. Servers were bustling around like crazy but still super friendly and on top of everything (refilling waters/tea quickly, checking in to see if we needed anything else). The food wasn't anything crazy over the top, but everything was hot and tasty, and it came out quick. Biggest raves at the table were for the chicken fried steak (those who got it loved it!). I got the chef salad, which was pretty standard but good. My husband enjoyed his chicken parm sandwich, and the Wild West fries (I think that's what they called them, but they're the battered, seasoned fries) were delicious! One friend got the green chili and said it was really good too. All in all, I'll definitely eat here again when I'm in the area! read more
