Making an appointment was easy and efficient, but I had waited over 1 hour to see the doctor for my consultation. I spoke out impatiently to the assistants there so when I came back for the actual root canal, they saw that I was seated not too long after my appointment time. I had written out a pretty scathing review prior to the treatment but Dr. Yu had done a good job as far as I could tell. I didn't experience much pain afterwards and my friends were really surprised as they've all heard horror stories. Overall, prices are very reasonable compared to other practices, the front desk was understanding about my insurance fiasco with Cobra, and it was a good root canal experience. I think a lot of suburban area dental/medical offices tend to overbook appointments and I'm used to LA where they never make you wait more than 10 minutes. So at least here, I hope the initial 1 hour wait was just a fluke and doesn't happen regularly. Hence, the 4 stars rather than 5. read more

She thoroughly examined my tooth and advised that I needed a root canal and did it same day. Very impressed with the staff and care. I felt extremely comfortable with the procedure. If I could give a 0 star I would. The doctor is rude, impatient and insensitive to his patients. Nobody loves going to the dentist especially when having a root canal done but this doctor makes the whole experience awful, I was in so much pain and he didn't care one bit. He just kept getting annoyed because I was in so much pain, then once the procedure was done they told me to wait and the infection and swelling would go away in about six months but it never went away. Well, a year later I still have an infection and now they want to retreat it and charge me all over again! This is absolutely ridiculous! I would never recommend this man to anyone. read more

Delta Dental is investigating this office for FRAUD. They changed my Dates of my service so that they could add additional insurance payments. Make sure you read all your insurance claims and verify that your insurance wasn't billed Twice for the same service but different dates because they will steal your insurance benefits apparently. read more

I actually have no complaints about my visit. I have one of the worst fears of any dentist but the staff was great. The doctor was very nice and things were explained to me as we went along. Somehow I missed this entire draft section of my iPhone and this review has been sitting here since November 2013. I was referred here by my main dentist because a tool was broke off in my tooth during a root canal at his office. They got me right in analyze the problem and determined a course of action immediately. I was very impressed with the dentist and his staff. I have to say I wasn't very happy that a tool was broken in my tooth and I had to go here in the first place. But this Dentist made the best of a bad situation. It took me two visits to correct the issue and I would say I am extremely happy with his professionalism and his office staff. If you are ever in the need of a root canal something that we all look forward to. I highly recommend this location. Went to see Dr Yu yesterday on a same day referral for a dental crisis. To say I was anxious is an understatement, but my option was to stay in pain or do what needs to be done! Dr Yu was extremely kind but also very direct about what needed to happen which I appreciated more than I can say. My opinions, feelings, questions were all heard and addressed as we went, in a way that helped me get through the process as easily as possible. I've been to Grandview Endodontics twice so far. I've had two root canals done by Dr. Yu. He is very nice and explained the procedure thoroughly. My second time there, I was assisted by Briana and she was super kind and friendly. She definitely made my nerves go away. What a great experience, far from what I was expecting for a procedure (root canal) I needed. Second time in a whole lot of years that my dentist gave me a referral for an endodontist. First time was not nearly as swell (no pun intended). Grandview was awesome, from the initial phone call for an appointment handled by Alex, to the follow up a day after the procedure also by her. The office was ultra modern and everyone was so pleasant and professional. I was referred to these fine folks by my dentist, Valdez dentistry who by the way are also amazing! Dr Yu and his staff are so friendly, so helpful and the work he did was amazing! I had literally no pain during the procedure and minimal to no pain that night. I was also able to go to my dentist to finish the restoration and because of Dr Yu's fine work they did not have to replace the crown. My highest recommendation!!!! read more

This happened to me in 2019. Never to late to share. First off, I was very happy with the work the dentist did but am furious with the lady who handles his billing and the fact that she never bothered to contact me regarding a $64 balance that I was unaware of. I had taken a valium prior to the work being done and the billing lady had waited until the valium had kicked in before coming to discuss things with me, this was an hour after I arrived. She had no clue what she was doing and had to correct the invoice twice. I am dual insured and it was noted on my paperwork yet she tried to charge me before billing my secondary insurance and even after I questioned that, she read the insurance coverage wrong and was only giving me credit for 50% instead of the full 80% my insurance covered. Finally she told gave me the balance I owed and it seemed correct so I gave her my credit card to pay for the balance of what was owed. I have not heard a word from this office until I received a notice from a debt collector for a $64 balance and called their office and left a message for her to call me asap so I could take care of it and expressed my frustration that they didn't notify me. Of course I paid the debt collector but to this day she has not called me back. This was pure incompetence and was completely avoidable by just picking up the phone and letting your patient know especially since I even told her to let me know if there were any issues! read more

I have to say I had an amazing experience. I was very nervous and afraid. The receptionist and the Specialist herself said it was nothing to worry about and they both were right. She walk me through each step and I felt NO pain all while she did the procedure. After I received the medicine to numb me I was totally relaxed and I promise it went well. First, I think it's worth mentioning that this endodontist office has a sign next to their patient sign in sheet OFFERING a $5 starbucks gift card IF you give them a 5-star review. My dentist advised me that my infected tooth NEEDS to be extracted based on the xray - dentist THINKS there is a fracture. But said I can get a second opinion. So I consulted with Dr. Yu. He advised me to get a CT scan of my tooth (he has one in his office) which I paid out of pocket for $125 bec insurance does not cover this. Upon assessment of my tooth, he said he can help save my infected tooth. Treatment was done then 2 weeks and $1544 later, the infection is still there. My symptoms had NO CHANGE at all. I went to see Dr. Yu again and he advised ANOTHER treatment. Which will cost me more money. Hmmmm... I decided to consult with a 2nd endodontist instead who I paid out of my own pocket. I DID NOT tell this 2nd endodontist any history of the infected tooth to see what he had to say based on my symptoms, presentation and CT scan. 2nd endodontist said 'There is NOTHING I can do about your tooth, it NEEDS to be extracted because THERE IS A FRACTURE.' I called Dr. Yu and told him about the fractured tooth and he said that the CT scan DOES NOT show if there is a fracture or not. THIS IS FALSE. That's one of the reasons you want to do a CT scan because it gives much clearer images than an xray. So basically, Dr. Yu performed a treatment that's not even indicated because my tooth had a fracture. He wasted my time and money and was suggesting another treatment. This is so unethical! One week later, I had the infected tooth extracted by my dentist. I attached a picture below of the said tooth that Dr. Yu worked on. My dentist said it was OVERFILLED - notice that there is something sticking out from the root of the extracted tooth. It SHOULD NOT look like that. The filling should be shorter not reaching the end of the tooth inside. This picture clearly shows the filling OUT of the tooth. Please show this picture to your dentist if you would like a better explanation of how poor this job is. So the 5-star reviews...Ummm I wouldn't depend on that. I'd go to another endodontist. I normally don't post reviews but I took the time to do this because I don't want my experience to happen to anybody else. There are certain things I can let go but a professional being unethical is unacceptable. The treatment done by Dr. Yu is on dispute as I'm typing this. read more

My experience in this place was the beginning was ridiculous the door was locked a girl with purple hair came to the door made me fill out my forms outside and made me go rinse in the bathroom downstairs somewhere in the building so I came back they took 6 minutes to open the door yes I timed it so then I was asked to come in and have a seat really I could not come in and fill out my forms inside so I guess people they have a magical mouthwash FYI then there is another woman waiting there so I'm guessing she got the magic mouth was before me an writing this as is happening so let's see what's next so they make me wait for 45 minutes they take me back once I asked what's taking so long the girl that took me back she was nice and the Dentist was nice but I would not come back and I don't recommend this place just because of the First Lady who was really rude the other 2 ladies are nice read more

I highly recommend Dr. Preeti Sandhu for a route canal procedure! I needed an emergency route canal and my dentist found Dr. Sandhu for me. During my consultation with Dr. Sandhu, she listened carefully to my concerns and let me decide which option would work best for my schedule. Dr. Sandhu kept me posted with her progress as she performed the route canal and showed me the pictures and X-rays of my tooth she took along the way so I had an excellent idea of the work she had done. Best of all, the procedure was gentle and completely painless thanks to local anesthetics and, incredibly, I felt absolutely no discomfort the next day.
