First, I think it's worth mentioning that this endodontist office has a sign next to their patient sign in sheet OFFERING a $5 starbucks gift card IF you give them a 5-star review. My dentist advised me that my infected tooth NEEDS to be extracted based on the xray - dentist THINKS there is a fracture. But said I can get a second opinion. So I consulted with Dr. Yu. He advised me to get a CT scan of my tooth (he has one in his office) which I paid out of pocket for $125 bec insurance does not cover this. Upon assessment of my tooth, he said he can help save my infected tooth. Treatment was done then 2 weeks and $1544 later, the infection is still there. My symptoms had NO CHANGE at all. I went to see Dr. Yu again and he advised ANOTHER treatment. Which will cost me more money. Hmmmm... I decided to consult with a 2nd endodontist instead who I paid out of my own pocket. I DID NOT tell this 2nd endodontist any history of the infected tooth to see what he had to say based on my symptoms, presentation and CT scan. 2nd endodontist said 'There is NOTHING I can do about your tooth, it NEEDS to be extracted because THERE IS A FRACTURE.' I called Dr. Yu and told him about the fractured tooth and he said that the CT scan DOES NOT show if there is a fracture or not. THIS IS FALSE. That's one of the reasons you want to do a CT scan because it gives much clearer images than an xray. So basically, Dr. Yu performed a treatment that's not even indicated because my tooth had a fracture. He wasted my time and money and was suggesting another treatment. This is so unethical! One week later, I had the infected tooth extracted by my dentist. I attached a picture below of the said tooth that Dr. Yu worked on. My dentist said it was OVERFILLED - notice that there is something sticking out from the root of the extracted tooth. It SHOULD NOT look like that. The filling should be shorter not reaching the end of the tooth inside. This picture clearly shows the filling OUT of the tooth. Please show this picture to your dentist if you would like a better explanation of how poor this job is. So the 5-star reviews...Ummm I wouldn't depend on that. I'd go to another endodontist. I normally don't post reviews but I took the time to do this because I don't want my experience to happen to anybody else. My experience in this place was the beginning was ridiculous the door was locked a girl with purple hair came to the door made me fill out my forms outside and made me go rinse in the bathroom downstairs somewhere in the building so I came back they took 6 minutes to open the door yes I timed it so then I was asked to come in and have a seat really I could not come in and fill out my forms inside so I guess people they have a magical mouthwash FYI then there is another woman waiting there so I'm guessing she got the magic mouth was before me an writing this as is happening so let's see what's next so they make me wait for 45 minutes they take me back once I asked what's taking so long the girl that took me back she was nice and the Dentist was nice but I would not come back and I don't recommend this place just because of the First Lady who was really rude the other 2 ladies are nice read more

I highly recommend Dr. Preeti Sandhu for a route canal procedure! I needed an emergency route canal and my dentist found Dr. Sandhu for me. During my consultation with Dr. Sandhu, she listened carefully to my concerns and let me decide which option would work best for my schedule. Dr. Sandhu kept me posted with her progress as she performed the route canal and showed me the pictures and X-rays of my tooth she took along the way so I had an excellent idea of the work she had done. Best of all, the procedure was gentle and completely painless thanks to local anesthetics and, incredibly, I felt absolutely no discomfort the next day. Omg!!!!! I went to Grandview Endodontists yesterday for an emergency root canal...is that even a thing??? I was on vacation last week when suddenly on Wednesday I was struck with severe nerve pain after sipping some coffee. Since I was out of the country, all I could do was take narcotics until I returned. I made an appointment with my dentist immediately on Monday morning (yesterday). My dentist tried to drill into the tooth to find the canal, but was unable to and though I was numb, it was still EXTREMELY painful. He personally placed a call to Dr. Yu and asked that he see me on an emergent basis, if only just to help alleviate the pain (did I mention that I was now in tears?). Dr. Yu didn't have anything available, but was going to help with pain management. I headed directly to their office with an appointment at 2:30. Dr. Yu saw me within ten minutes of my appointment time, saw how much pain I was in, and performed the root canal right there on the spot. He was done and I was out of the door by 4:15. It was painless and he seemed very thorough, though I know nothing of endodontics. Me trying to be efficient and knowing I was already numbed up, I headed right back over to my dentist's office for final restoration. My dentist was shocked that Dr. Yu did the procedure since he had told him that he didn't have any time in his schedule. While completing the fill in, my dentist kept commenting on what a good job Dr. Yu had done. His office provided me with aftercare instructions, a prescription for the soreness (though I don't need it because this soreness is nowhere near the pain I was experiencing), AND texted to follow-up on how I was doing. Well, Grandview, I'm doing GREAT thanks to you. Dr. Yu was great. The staff was efficient, personable, and helpful. While I never want to see them again, I'll happily recommend anyone to them. *Of note - I had a root canal years ago and Grandview's charge to the insurance was $500 less than what the last endodontist's office charged, which also meant significantly less out of my pocket. Oh...and did I mention that they give out his cell phone number on the aftercare instructions for emergencies??? read more

They are great people, they do their job well. I've had MANNNNY root canals and I've had all the unpleasant things done from all other places. This is the first place that I would not fear coming back too. No lip against tooth problems, no crap floating in my mouth, no hideous tastes...they used a rubber dam of some sort, like a surgeon would use to localize the tooth being worked on. That and the bite plate really made the difference in experience. Plus, they sufficiently numbed me. Sigh. [Heart] and the microscope...and the glasses to shield light and fluids from my face. This rating is for the front office staff and Dr. Milan. The staff is incompetent and they don't follow-up. When I called the office to ask about my treatment options/insurance questions, I was told that the person who handles that was on lunch. After not hearing back, I called again. This time the gal that answered the phone made up some excuse as to why my first call was not returned. Bottom line, I went somewhere else to have my tooth fixed in a matter of two days. If this office staff can't be respectful and do their job, I will take my money and good insurance elsewhere. If I'm coming to your office with a tooth ache, why are you dismissing my pain and not following up. Ridiculous! I just received a root canal on two teeth from Dr. Yu today. The process was easy and didn't have to wait. They only pain I felt throughout the entire procedure was from the anesthesia shots, but that was expected and the hardest part. After that, I didn't feel anything. Very nice office and staff. They made me feel very comfortable and the worst part was the numbing. Very pleased with the cleanliness and professionalism at Grandview Endodontics. I was referred here by my dentists to get an emergency root canal after a tooth of mine started hurting out of nowhere. I was in excruciating pain and they were able to take me in without an appointment. They said I might have to wait awhile to see the dentist however, I waited no more than ten minutes. The dental hygienist that assisted the dentist was very pleasant and humorous. I was also very pleased that the dentists would advise me on what he was going to do before he did it; when the situation called for it. The following day they even called me to see how I was doing. Although, I do not have the best dental insurance so being referred here did cost me a pretty penny but, the facility was great nonetheless. read more

I had a reoccurring root canal issue that was done by a different Endodontist that was now causing so much pain and discomfort. I conducted my own research to find the best Endodontist before deciding on Dr. Yu. My experience with this office was excellent. Dr. Yu and his team were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I was greeted by a very friendly front desk staff, Alex and she introduced me to Maritza, dental assistant. Maritza took all the necessary x-rays and Dr. Yu explained the findings from the x-rays and advised me on what procedure was needed for my retreatment. He answered all my questions and was able to treat the tooth on the same visit. The procedure took about 1 hour and during that time, x-rays (during and after) were taken to ensure everything was done precisely and thoroughly. Dr. Yu prescribed an antibiotic for me as a preventive measure and advised me to come back in 6 months for a follow-up. Also, his office was willing to share x-rays and report with my regular dentist so she could start on the restoration process. Two days after retreatment, the pain and discomfort subsided tremendously. I truly believed that Dr. Yu had taken care of my troublesome tooth. This endodontist is a Christian. Very talented, organized, professional, n honest person he is! The building n his office are very beautiful n comfortable inside the Grandview Plaza in Chino. God sent him to me after prayer. Wow he only took about 1 hour n my experience was very good. I had absolutely no pain during n after the procedure. I opened my mouth too wide.
