    Campfire S'more Lava Cake... AMAZINGNESS!!

Taco Tuesday at Granite Tapas is the best in New Hampshire. We had 20 tacos, 6 different styles. Hard and Soft shells, Chicken, beef, pork and shrimp. All were amazing and the staff are even better. Then we finished it off with this amazing desert..

Tacos- didn't match the menu description at all.

This place could have been 5 stars, except for a few things... we ordered fish tacos, which were supposed to come with slaw, red onions, and avocado crema. As you can see in the photo, it was fish on top of tomato and lettuce, with avocado. No dressing, no lemon or lime juice. Unfortunately the result was dry and flavorless. I did mention it to the waitress, who was a sweetheart, but she read the menu description back to me and said that's what I'd gotten. None of what was on the plate matched the menu description, but she was so nice we just left it at that. The star of our meal was the crab cakes- fresh, flavorful, and perfectly textured. The thick, sweet sauce on top wasn't really necessary because the crab cake was perfection. The cauliflower was really tasty, and aside from crushed butterfinger, dessert was nice too.

A new tapas bar is now open in Hooksett! Located at the Granite Hill Business Center, Granite Tapas & Cocktail Lounge opened on Monday serving up a variety of small plates and cocktails in an old world intimate rustic setting with a New Hampshire feel. The main dining/bar area has tables, high top tables and seating up at the bar featuring beer, wine, and signature mixed drinks. There's also a flat screen TV mounted behind the bar. There are also two private rooms for parties of 8-10 including one room with all soft comfy armchairs. As for the food offerings, they are featuring 15 items to choose with Italian, Asian, New England, and Southern style food creations, which will change on a weekly and daily basis. They want to see how the sales for each item does and keep the popular items on next week's menu and change up the items that are less popular. The price range for each small plate is $8-$17. On my recent visit, they were offering plates such as New England Lobster Mac & Cheese, Salted Caramel Wings, Steak or Grilled Chicken Tacos, Chicken & Lemongrass Potstickers, Pan Seared Scallops, Daily Flatbread Pizza (Steak & Cheese), Shrimp Cocktail, Grilled Romaine Hearts, French Onion Soup, Homemade Stuffed Meatballs and others. I chose 3 items including Asian Nachos ($14), Chili & Cornbread Pot Pies ($8), Slider Burger Trio ($15) and an ice water with lemon in a glass jar to sip on. Each item was served one at a time. The Asian Nachos consisted on fried crispy wonton chips, topped with pan seared ahi tuna, marinated cucumber, watermelon radish slaw, pickled ginger, and wasabi cream. Next, the Chili & Cornbread Pot Pie was served very hot in a square cast iron dish on top of a cut tree trunk, which consisted of a hearty sweet mix of ground beef, kidney beans, black beans, white beans, onions, & peppers topped with sweet cornbread crumbles, sour cream, and friend jalapenos. Finally, the Slider Burger Trio consisted of 3 different burger sliders each with a thick ground beef patty on a toasted bun, including a cowboy slider with onion ring, creamy ranch dressing & bbq sauce, a fried lobster legs (deep fried breaded) & aioli slider, and a slider topped with grilled ripe tomatoes, fresh spinach, melted cheese, & balsamic vinaigrette drizzle. I passed on the offer for dessert ($8 each) including marbled crème brulee, lemon raspberry cheesecake, 4 layer chocolate peanut butter brownie explosion. Overall, the food I had was very good and nicely presented, but on the high priced side, though prices in line with other tapas places in the area. The Asian Nachos with the ahi tuna and accompaniments had nice fresh flavors on the crispy wonton skins. This version was pretty decent, though I've really enjoyed a few other versions of Asian Nachos including my favorite Asian "Short Rib"Nachos ($12-generous size) at Mint Bistro in Manchester. Chef Tom Puskarich introduced fantastic Asian Nachos to the local dining scene 10 years ago when he operated the former Z Food & Drink in Manchester, who now operates Restoration Cafe. The Chili & Cornbread Pot Pie was excellent, a very nice take on a classic Southern American comfort dish, sooo good! The sliders on special were very messy to eat, though very tasty. The service here was prompt, each item served one at a time. The check with tax & before tip came out to $40.33 for three plates. In all, Granite Tapas & Cocktail Lounge is a good welcome addition to the local dining options, surrounded by mostly pizza shops, casual American restaurants and chain restaurants. ACCESS: It's the first building and first door on the left upon entering the business park. Enter and head up the stairs to the restaurant and bar. For handicapped access, drive around to the back of the buildings and enter through Door A6.

Rude service, bad food. We have a gift card here and won't even go back for a free meal.

So always the test is the beans that's right Mexican know what I'm talking about. A true Mexican restaurant makes good beans. So I ordered my combination. I speak a few Spanish words to the waiter. He kinda looked at me funny. And he asked me about how I knew how to speak Spanish. Well, I told him I was half Mexican. I told him I will be testing the beans that's the true test. Well they passed. The beans were amazing. The chili rellino were amazing. The tamale was great. For all the white people out there this is good Mexican food for all the Mexicans. It's good enough for you to dine. Full disclosure this is for takeout so maybe it's a better experience inside. Speaking of inside, the ambience of the restaurant was fine. Not too crowded but a handful of patrons. The decor was cute and the music was a nice touch. I ordered a combination plate with a cheese enchilada and a chicken taco with a hard shell. I selected refried beans and Mexican rice as my sides. The sides were tasty. The enchilada was fine but the cheese tasted like American cheese, and the taco was disappointing. I expected a homemade fried hard shell but instead It was something from the grocery store and hardly filled with chicken. A homemade taco shell and more filling would go along way. Plus adding toppings like sour cream and pico-I believe those could be added for an extra cost. My husband ordered the fajita nachos. He said they were good but I was a little thrown off by the American cheese sauce instead of the more traditional melted jack and cheddar cheese for nachos. I really enjoyed their chips and salsa. Check this place out for yourself!

It's what I…read morewould deem a hole in the wall, (only because it is not a large venue) but it has excellent service and great food. We started with some cocktails and the cheese curds, for Andres we had the Smashburger and an order of duck tacos. We do come toting along with a six-year-old so with a lack of a kids menu or a simpler eats, we went with the cheese flatbread (note to anybody reading it comes without sauce. It is literally cheese on a flatbread). We can't fall places for not being kid friendly, but it would've been awesome to have even just a grilled cheese option, but that's our problem for another day. Sadly, it will limit when we can plan our future visit visits. The service was great, friendly and attentive, in the ambience, cozy and warm. I travel quite a bit and my husband did deem this a place that "I could come and sit at the bar when I'm by myself " So personally, the only thing I would say is they could use a few more smaller plates that could thicken as child, friendly entrées... or just add a tad bit more options into the mix.

Very approachable menu with a few sections but a handful of options in each section. From the starters section, we shared the duck wings and the fried cheese curds. Surprisingly, a lot of duck featured on the menu. Not something I typically see at a casual taphouse. Duck wings were great. Ultra crispy and card with mandarin wedges for a perfect compliment. The fried cheese curds came out piping hot. Some of them seemed to pop and the cheese oozed out leaving some hollow curds. The ones that maintained their integrity and contained the cheese were superb. We shared the Korean fried chicken sandwich as our main. Super crispy and vinegar forward. Came with spiraled potato wedges which was an ideal accompaniment for a few beers. Service was quick and accommodating. Food came out quickly too. A couple TVs to catch an event. Great spot!

These were served with a pea and bacon risotto whose rich flavors matched the meatballs perfectly and the accompanying crisped breads balanced texture for the perfect combo. The pork belly tostadas had a great combination of toppings that gave them a fresh feel and almost made pork belly feel healthy, and the popover short rib dish was perfectly cooked and tasty. This one wasn't my dish, but I managed to snag a nibble and may be ordering it next time if they decide to add it to the regular menu. So good! The dishes were a nice size, leaving room for desert, and the fresh fruit meringue was an excellent finale. The restaurant itself is small, with a bar and just a handful of indoor tables. They had 4 more tables outside, however, which would be great on slightly cooler days. The indoor window seat we got was comfortable and the whole place had a cozy, friendly feel. Service was top notch, from a greeting as we entered to constant attention - we never really noticed our slightly small (bar style) table as all the dishes were cleared so quickly. The mussels were good but once you reach the bottom of the bowl it was salty. The flavor of the wings were good but also salty. The ramen was also extremely salty as well so it seems like everything they make here is just overall on the salty side. If they just lessened every dish on that part, it would be perfect. But especially the ramen was very hard to eat without drinking 5 cups of water. The shirley temple was delicious tho! Food is 3/5 but service is a 5/5. So I will say the service definitely saved the rating from 3 stars.
