    Granny's

This is the essence of HITW dining. Granny's is a real hole in the wall. Not a butt hole or a glory hole but a hole in one. This place is a winner and you will be too if you give 'em a try. Tucked away between an apparently empty embroidery shop and some other industrial place is an usual sammy shop known as Granny's. You are about to step into a place known as the sandwich zone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzlG28B-R8Y This is kind of a weird place with great sandwiches. Weird in a good kind a weird way. You enter to a cashiers counter compete with menu wall boards a cold drink refrigerator an ice cream freezer and a couple of shelf's of chips. Then you head down the hall of soda machine http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/tAU5C43kWTz5GZ2NaenZLw?select=Hch-3RSZLuWOAHr0-TDyMg http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/tAU5C43kWTz5GZ2NaenZLw?select=4BJ3nJIB8N7lLQPMwX3NBA http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/tAU5C43kWTz5GZ2NaenZLw?select=T2N8PkYIikg7z-jFrw8GPQ toward the dining room in the back. Bathrooms (clean) are west of the soda fountain which is also where you can load up on pepperchinis, lemon for your drink and pickled cucumbers for who knows what. I hate cucumbers they give me heartburn. FOOD: The 40+ standard sandwiches here are good and not at a bad price. There are a bunch of the standard cold sandwiches, turkey, roast beef, tuna, ham, BLT, salami, egg salad, chicken salad, more, plus hot stuff like pastrami, cheese steak, meatball, tuna melt, sausage n cheese, chicken terri and others. Lots of healthy sammys for you that worry about that kind of stuff. Teriyaki bowls (8 kinds) , ramen, salads (10 kinds) and they even have a dozen early morning 8:30-10:30 breakfast sammys (real cheap & good $2- 3), Soup/salad 1/2 sammy deals $6. Food today with my lunch bunch: # 9 Egg Salad .... Normally don't trust E-salad unless I make it, but the egg salad on squaw bread here was not only delicious but ginormously huge. 4+****Stars http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/tAU5C43kWTz5GZ2NaenZLw?select=5Q-V2Sn-KmcFcYVlU_up6A #29 Cheese Steak sammy ....standard bell peppers, provolone (?), and thin beef strips. Very tasty meat, a little garlic salt and pepper made this a very tasty sandwich 4****Stars http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/tAU5C43kWTz5GZ2NaenZLw?select=ikkY0hYNx9Q2gqsB1sfvdA#L4TRkAj-8jSjA3rvyUP_3g #30 Submarine Said it was A bomb. No pics. Plus we all got a little shot of cole slaw, I liked, tasted like KFC's yum. Granny's is a good choice for lunch during the week The Soups are solid and great on cold days. Couldn't resist http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtF5dMzAF2k http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=Hne5a_jkdyw&feature=endscreen I'll be back

Hole in the wall spot with really good sandwiches. The chicken salad cashew sandwhich with the coleslaw is the go to. The coleslaw is really delicious and made from scratch. Really friendly couple that runs it. Ill be back forsure

At first I wasn't sure about posting a review because I didn't want more people to crowd this mom and pap sandwich secret near my work.....but then I figured they deserve the publicity and sure, how people should eat here! I came here for a salad but I left with a Veggie sandwich and a dinner salad. I'm currently not eating land animals and trying to eat healthier (long story). I'll start with the dinner salad, nothing too special but fresh veggies with your choice dressing (my ranch was probably in a cold fridge for a while because it was somewhat lumpy). The Veggie Sandwich is what was spectacular (see picture). It's avocado, lettuce, tomatoes, sprouts and sliced egg set between two slices of squaw bread. This thing was fresh and delicious. Next time I'm going to ask for mustard rather than mayo. If you're an avocado fan, they give you a lot! They also give you a side of cole slaw! My meal came out to be a little over $8. I can't wait to come back and even more so when I'm able to eat chicken and turkey again! There's a huge selection of cold and hold sandwiches. They serve breakfast and lots of vegetarian choices! It's not a fancy place but has a lot of heart! There's a large selection of bottled drinks that you normally wouldn't find in a Subway and even a large selection of gum/candy. There's also combo specials. When you first enter, you don't think there's a dining room but it's in the back....very quaint. You can call ahead to order your food too.

Cute and tiny deli. Sandwiches were big and delicious. Potato salad was delicious. Owners are really nice.

This is the best little gem of a sandwich shop. The cashew chicken is so good I could just cry.

Upon entering, you see the minimalistic menus of sandwiches and drinks. (There are also small paper menus available but the aesthetic is a treat!) it's a small spot, but it exudes personality and a homey vibe. It's like a pub setting you see in Shaun of the Dead but much more comfortable and low key. The servers were very friendly and attentive to our table. I tried the French Dip and the BLT. Both were delicious and packed with meat. One thing about Windsor Brown's is they DO NOT skimp on the meats! Huge points! I executed a beautiful cheese pull upon my first bite, but could not capture it on picture because I ate too fast! So you'll just have to take my word for it. My family also enjoyed their sandwiches. They tried the Devil Made Me Do It and another sandwich with ghost peppers. We all left with our bellies full and our spirits high! 5/5 WILL return next time I'm in town.

What made the stop even better was the service behind the bar. The employee taking our order and serving the sandwich was genuinely pleasant, attentive, and accommodating, offering great recommendations that made choosing easy and the experience even smoother. The sourdough was exactly how it should be: fresh, crisp, lightly toasted and sturdy enough to hold everything together. Inside, Calabrian deviled egg salad met a perfectly jammy egg, spicy mayo and peppers for a creamy, tangy kick with just the right amount of heat. Messy? A little. Worth it? Absolutely. This was a lip-smacking, reach-for-another-bite kind of sandwich. We didn't have time to dive into the beer selection, but there were plenty of tempting options. With its business-district location, this would be an easy stop after work for a cold brew and a seriously good sandwich. Quick stop. Great service. Killer sandwich. The Devil Made Me do it.

My husband and I consider ourselves sandwich connoisseurs, and we honestly can't believe we don't come here more often. I usually order a simple turkey and cheese, but this time I went with the Super Bird (plus onions) and was in absolute heaven. My husband ordered the Fuggedaboutit, and we were both blown away. Fresh, flavorful, and easily some of the best sandwiches we've had anywhere. Worth the walk, drive, or trek from wherever you're coming from. Palm Market Deli has officially become our sandwich spot.
