Amazing sandwiches and smoothies!!! My kids love coming here as well! They go to the karate studio next door (see yelp page MAI- Martial Arts International) and we like to go here whenever we can. Granted this place closes quite early, I believe it's 5pm so sometimes we don't make it in time but when we do omg first of all the cute little old lady here who works here is soooo sweet and welcoming and suggests the best sandwiches. Typically we do a classic turkey avocado cheese sandwich on sourdough bread with mustard mayo combo. And a peach strawberry smoothie! YUMMMMMM! There's something so classic of this deli, classic mom and pop shop. No one would really know unless you happen to come across it. Which is half the charm. They may be good food wise unfortunately I was able to try anything. Drove here for a Breakfast burrito, they were open. 2 guys in front of me chatting up the cashier about getting a free slice of cheese cake for like 10 minutes while I'm waiting. Finally I'm up, I order the breakfast burrito the cashier thinks to herself and says "hmm no more breakfast". I'm like what? She points at their menu which says breakfast ends at 11am and it's 1102am when I'm ordering. I said ok thanks, bye and left. My issue is they're not power house McDonald's from the 90s when breakfast was a specific time only. They're a hole in the wall shop in an industrial complex. Also, I was in line well before 11am so it makes no sense to say no to my breakfast order when the factors for me ordering on time were the shops fault. On my latest visit, I tried the breakfast omelette sandwich, featuring egg, tomato, bacon, and cheese on toasted bread, which turned out to be the best sandwich I've had in ages. Supporting a small local business and always getting FRESH, un-processed food at fair prices. I recommend the Italian Sandwich, spicy RAMEN soup or a teriyaki chicken bowl with their homemade noodles. They also make fresh fruit smoothies. WOW! Talk about new and improved. I don't know if it's under new management, but after not coming here for a few years I came back a few months ago to see if they have improved and they definitely did! They have an updated menu, better quality ingredients, everything is now fresh and delicious! The prices are still kinda high, but that's everywhere nowadays. I love the roast beef on the roll among other sandwiches, but I have to say... YOU MUST TRY THEIR FRUIT SMOOTHIES! They are the bomb! Mango is my fav! I think the quality on everything has gotten better overall. The inside is cleaner and more inviting with an updated aesthetic of their menus and decor. However I will never come back because the older woman that works in the back ripped a sandwich from hands and threw it away because it was made incorrectly and walked in the back like it was my fault. It's under new management and you can feel it! It took over 10 minutes to get my salad which is already pre-made and just needed a scoop of pre made chicken salad. They forgot the pie nuts that go on top and the chicken salad does not taste the same! I'm bummed. There was 6 people behind the counter and it still looked like they were all confused and didn't know their own menu. I always get the Italian sandwich at any sandwich shop I go to and did exactly that here. Loved it. Everything was fresh and also had great drink selections in addition to fountain drinks. Once I was done and fattened myself, I saw that they serve Starbucks coffee so I ordered an iced coffee on my way out and was so glad I did! Iced coffee was so good and refreshing.
