Turns out I was at the airport very early on this Tuesday. TSA was super fast. Now I had time. Walking to my gate I saw Grasa. I love this place. I eat it the one at the Vancouver waterfront often. Decided to stop in and get some pasta. I like the Black truffle Pappardelle/) So delicious. Perfect amount of truffle. I have eaten many of the items on the menu. Love their Caesar salad as well and the meatballs Yum Yum. I've never had anything not extremely tasty here. First time at the airport location. It did not disappoint. read more

I remembered the first time I had Grassa while in Portland, years ago. I remembered it being good. So, during our flight back, we saw Grassa and decided to try. It was as good as you can get for airport restaurants. The service was friendly and quick--although you bus your own tables. Self serve water to the side. Remodeled decor just outside of Concourse E, the food and drinks looks like what you'd get at one of the Grassa restaurants in the city. We ordered the Mac & Cheese and Carbonara. Both were very good. It seems as if the other dishes and their drink selection would not disappoint. read more

Airport food has never been better! Thank you Grassa for sending me off in style! I ordered the truffle pappardelle and enjoyed every bite! My only regret is that I was traveling alone and couldn't order a second dish to split with someone else! The dining area was clean and tidy. Someth tasted off about the pasta and I got ill the next day with a stomach issue. The wait for the food was 30 minutes and they seemed very disorganized. Non-customer flyers from the terminal were wandering from the terminal and bumping into people in the restaurant dining area. They need to cordon off the restaurant seating from the terminal so guests can enjoy their meal. read more

We plan for extra airport time every time we are in PDX just so we can sit and eat at Grassa LOL -- whether we are departing or arriving, we will literally intentionally plan for our next meal to be here. Our usuals: Caesar salad, meatballs, black truffle Papardelle (add pancetta!), and pork belly Mac and cheese. As a former Portland resident, I was excited to see Grassa added to PDX near the D/E wing split. It's just as delicious as getting it at one of the original locations! It's also quick and convenient, you can order to go or stay and sit. They also have a full bar as well! read more

Absolutely fantastic, quick breakfast before I board my flight at PDX. Had the sausage, egg and cheese sandwich and it was perfect, not too big for a pre flight meal. Also had a mimosa. We have eaten here several times for dinner and the food is always first class! Today we decided to try breakfast and it did not disappoint! Smoked salmon and avocado was 5 star and I highly recommend this selection. My mother in law had the burrito which was excellent! My father in law had the PDX and I believe he ate it in under a minute...delicious!! My step daughter had the ricotta pancakes and boy was that good. Yes I had a few bites. The service was excellent and Nate the manager took very good care of us! The breakfast burrito is amazing. It is simple, fresh, and flavorful. The potatoes are diced very small, unlike anything I've ever had before. The combination of ingredients along with the soft, doughy, stretchy tortilla, made for a delicious and energizing way to start the day. The staff was also very kind and helpful! read more

I arrived at PDX hungry I'm not sure if there were food options on my cross-country flight. As I headed for concourse D, I saw Grassa. Looking at the menu on the wall, the carbonara, a cheese pasta with pancetta and a fried egg on top, caught my eye. This seemed like the perfect dish for a meal that would be both breakfast and lunch. The woman at the counter was efficient, and my meal arrived in less than the promised time. It was delicious. I had a good visit swinging by the first week it was open as I was catching a flight out of PDX. Although I expected to see a limited menu given that they were operating out of the airport, I would've loved to at least have one of their seasonals on there to spice things up. For someone who sometimes prefers to order a side, having the Brussel sprouts or other salad options would be great for those who want something quick and not as carb heavy as a pasta. Overall, service was quick, the PDX airport reno made the space look beautiful, and the employees were very kind. I'll be back on my next time I'm flying out of pdx! read more

Yo this place is cheaper and better than any airport restaurant has any right to be. The pasta consistency is amazing (you can tell they make it themselves) and the sauces are executed thoughtfully... it's just perfect. The spicy vodka is amazing.... It's better than many Italian restaurants I've been to outside. The prices are so reasonable too! The ambiance is also great, with the hanging plants, clean wood tables and the open space. Also, I'd like to call out the worker with blonde hair (pony tail) and glasses. She went out of her way to help a couple who didn't speak English (or just had questions, not entirely sure) by walking with them to the self order kiosk from her spot at the cashier desk and walking them through their options with pictures. The rigatoni that i ordered was yummy for airport food(7/10). However, the chopped salad was low quality considering it was $15. It also included a lot of pepper. Came here last night before my plane flight home. Location is very nice and really clean and well taken care of by the staff. Staff is really friendly. Their menu options are very simple but great. Drinks name are pretty cool and the options offered are perfect amount. You order your food and if you get a drink, there is a lady to the right that makes the drinks seems to be a good amount of beer selections on tap. I had the carbonara which was very good. First time having an egg on top which added a good flavor. Garlic bread is really good. The pancetta was the biggest fattiest chunkiest meat that I've ever tasted in a pasta dish, and I could not even bite one piece.
