Everything bagel with avocado, cheese, salsa, and egg.

This bagel place was in a nice, quiet spot of downtown Santa Rosa. The bagel was decent... nothing to write home about. The woman who took our order seemed nice and was helpful.

A cute little breakfast spot! The vibes inside were great and the menu is pretty extensive! Everything from the bagel to the contents were customizable, and there is a vast selection of different beverages as well! I got the bacon eggel (bacon, egg, and cheese) on a sesame bagel, and it was super delicious. It was little heavy on the egg, and personally I'm not a big egg fan. If you do like egg (or a little extra protein) then then this is definitely the place for you! We also got the wild boar (smoked ham, egg, and cheese) on sesame as well, which was also great! I would recommend trying if you are in the area!

Called to see if they had pesto bagels but decided to leave me hanging on the phone for 5+ minutes while the lady was just having a full on conversation with a customer.

This is a quaint little shop offering bagels, croissants, sandwiches, coffee, etc. Fast, friendly service. Good food. Great little place that adds a special charm to the downtown Santa Rosa neighborhood. Give it a try.

This place has a very friendly staff that produces a very neat product. This business also took covid precautions very seriously and limited the amount of people who came in. The assortment of cream cheese here lacked flavor and are spread out very thin on the bagel. To make it worse, the bagels are expensive and don't reflect the price in what you're given. 3 bagels and 2 coffees came out to $30 which I wasn't expecting. We also had to wait 15 mins for the order to be done which is unfortunate because I need fast service in the morning. This spot was decent but I will need something thats worth the price and a tad bit faster for my morning food.

    Mold inside of an egg!

We ordered several sandwiches from grateful bagel. Something didn't taste right. After examining the the egg we noticed mold inside of it. We tried to call the store and gave me the managers number. She was unwilling to do anything about it and said well the ages should be KINDA fresh. She states they leave them in the fridge for several days! She tried to tell us that it wasn't mold, which it clearly is. We all felt sick after we ate from there. Stay clear from this place!

2 dry, stale plain bagels with little to no cream cheese and swiss.

Would leave 0 if I could for the staff alone. Not to mention the sanitation issues of the interior of the place and staff. I get it you want a lazy job so you choose to toast premade bagels for a living, but to make them completely wrong all together then laugh at the customer who calls is wild. As a chef and former restaurant owner I'd have had a post for new staff up already for the lack of respect these girls have for their company and customers. I use to frequent the place often since I had a restaurant down the street. Been awhile since I had stopped in and was over due for a stop, needless to say it's gone to shits and I won't be back. Lucky Sebastopol location is still top tier food and service, Santa Rosa down town maybe be a lost cause at this point? Or maybe some sort of management and training is needed

I decided to treat myself to lunch. But where? As a woman in my mid-40s, I can't eat crazy heavy lunches anymore. A burger would put me to sleep. And it's 90 degrees outside and something like pho just sounds too hot. I saw Marla SR, a bakery with light breakfast and lunch I had been meaning to check out. It was decided, and off I went. When I walked in, I was still discombobulated by my day, and I looked at the menu confused. Luckily the woman behind the counter pointed out that they have a bigger menu on paper. There were many yummy things, but I went with the breakfast sandwich on an english muffin, and a Cafe au Lait. When the sandwich came, it was a thing of beauty. No literally, the plate looked amazing. (See pic) ...This so instantly put me in a good mood. It was served with charred shisito peppers with a yummy aioli with dill. A perfect freshing accompaniment to the peppers and the sandwich. The egg in the sandwich was more fritata like - very light and bouncy with cheese. As I said, amazing that all those ingredients and it felt light! (Which was perfect for me, as specified previously... my middle-aged woman sensibilities have made me... well, what some people would call, picky. But I prefer to say that I'm a grown-a$$ adult that knows herself. :)) And did I mention the cafe au lait was excellent? Great coffee, foamy milk. ...I was even naughty and put a spoon-full of sugar in it and it tasted amazing. As I sat at my table, with light streaming onto the table, and the beautiful plants artistically strewn around the cafe, I felt at home. A woman came around to ask how everything was. I could feel she genuinely wanted to know. Everyone was really nice. And punk was playing overhead, which just fit the day, as well as the core of me. It made me think of when I was a teenager, how much I would have thought it's cool that I'm sitting at a cafe with punk playing overhead. This is one of those places where you can tell that the owner had a vision, and this place is their dream created into reality. (And I just f'ing love that!) So I will say this was quite pricey for a light lunch. But honestly now adays everything is so expensive I'd rather spend on a nice meal like this every once in a while, than a crappy meal out all of the time. And now I know where I can go when I'm having "one of those days". ...I also got some rye bread to bring home (which you can't find easily anymore), and cookies for the hubs. (Or else he'd be jealous) ...I will be back. ----- Update: The rye bread was to die for!!!! This is the best rye bread I have ever had in my life. It was soft, and the rye is almost floral. It's so unique. Will be coming back for more.

It's got bar seating too! There's also some board games if you want something to play with friends over drinks. Ordered a 12oz matcha latte with almond milk ($7) and opted to have it unsweetened. Overall smooth but not too strong, and a tiny bit sweet probably from whatever almond milk they use! I like mine a bit stronger and it's not the best I've had but decent! "For here" mugs are always a plus in my book too. Brew is unique that it doubles as a cozy bar too once the late afternoon rolls around. They've got interesting events happening throughout the month posted on their sign. Some of their food and pastries are sourced from local Red Bird Bakery and Village Bakery too if you're hungry! Parking might suck, you could find street parking maybe on 8th St or if you're early you could park by the meters for free before 9AM. There's a $1/hr parking garage right nearby but if there's nothing, best to park at SR Plaza for free and make the 5min walk over. I really like the vibes of Brew and wanna come back for a happy hour one day! It's nice to see a very queer friendly cafe/bar rolled into one!
