Meanwhile, I watched other customers get seated. When I was finally seated, I wasn't given a booth. I was placed at a small table in a corner. I then waited about 15 minutes without anyone coming over to take my order. Two women who were seated after me at the booth I had been waiting for were greeted and asked for their drink and food orders before anyone acknowledged me. At that point, I was honestly ready to leave. I stayed because I was hungry and didn't want to make a scene. I haven't even received my food yet, so I can't comment on the food. But the service alone has been extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, based on today's experience, I would not recommend this place

The real star here was the Gateaux Basque. A soft cookie-like dough forms the crust while the center has a vanilla custard and a cherry jam of sorts. It has one of the most pleasing textures and flavors I've had in a cake. It is worth coming here just for this, although I will have to come back and try some of their other foods. I would also note that while the quiche looks really good I couldn't justify paying $15 for a slice of it. I realize it comes with a little side salad, but when I asked if I could get it without the salad they said they couldn't charge me less for it. Oh well. They also have some decent pastries, but that's not the reason to come here. The Loxy Lady is my favorite bagel sandwich with smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers and onions. My daughter is a huge fan of a cinnamon raisin bagel with peanut butter and jelly, and my wife likes their every bagels with cream cheese. The bagels are fluffy on the inside and nice and crisp on the outside. The staff here is very friendly and while the inside can get very cozy they make the bagels quickly. Once you get your bagels you can eat on their patio. This is a great, local establishment. I'm not sure what's with their other locations, but this place is awesome!

I recently revisited the Grateful Bagel in Santa Rosa, and I must say, my experience was a complete turnaround. Previously, it wasn't my favorite spot, but this visit changed my perspective entirely. The bagels were fantastic--perfectly chewy, fresh, and flavorful. It's clear they take pride in their craft, as each bite was a delight. Omg, been looking for a bagel.place in santa rosa fornquite some time now and cane across this little diamond in the rough. Its kinda hidden, but worth the find. Was in and out quickly, and their gormet bagels are delicois. I got the jalempeno cheddar bagel and put a loxy lady on it which comes with smoked salmon cream cheese tomato onion amd cucumbers. It was delicious. The bagel was fresh and warm and the sandwich is to die for. Ill will be coming here every morning, haha if i wake up on time to grab breakfast!! I called ahead looking for this place. It's the 4th Street Santa Rosa location. I finally get here and they have two kinds of bagels that look awful. It's not even noon time and they have 3 bagels on empty shelves... The lady told me there's another store on Mendocino Avenue. I can't find it on Google. And I'm done... I went here, specifically because of how amazing the Grateful Bagel is, and has always been, in Sebastopol. If they are related, someone needs to safeguard their brand recognition, and overhaul their Santa Rosa store. read more
