This establishment is in Orting and we had been told it wasn't the safest or most welcoming place for black people. I can't say I got that impression from the service I received today even with the inconvenience we experienced. Long story short, we waited over an hour for the food to come out and it was a little underwhelming. Long story long, my family and I showed up at 12:05 for breakfast and they were busy. We waited less than 5 minutes to be seated and about 5 minutes to put in drink and food orders. We ordered a side of potatoes, 2 orders of the biscuits and gravy with eggs, the lemon blueberry French toast and the classic eggs Benedict. It was an hour before the server let us know our food would be out soon. Within that time, we were checked on twice for drink refills. We watched tables come in, eat and leave. 15 minutes after the server let us know our food was coming out soon, it still hadn't come and we were looking to pay and leave. She said it was coming right up and showed up about 5 minutes later. One plate of biscuits and gravy had an old dry crumbly crunchy biscuit and one fresh biscuit. The gravy was tasty and plentiful, but a little looser than expected. The lemon blueberry French toast was tasty and looked appetizing, but was not hot enough to melt the accompanying lemon butter. The eggs Benedict was flavorful, but the English muffins were soggy. The ham was good quality and the hollandaise sauce was tasty, but had developed a film. We asked for boxes as soon as it came out and noticed we didn't get everything we ordered. Our server comped our drinks and removed the side of potatoes we didn't get. She apologized for the wait and offered a dessert for the inconvenience. She was very kind and the only reason Tim's gets 3 stars instead of one. For cultural context, we were the only black people there. There was only one other person who wasn't Caucasian in the entire establishment and we saw no non-whites in the community on the way there. The service was a genuine concern coming in, but our server worked diligently to remedy the inconvenience. Our guess was they ran out of biscuits halfway through our order being prepared. So it probably sat for quite some time before it got to us once the new biscuits were done, instead of remaking it so it was all fresh. Just wish they would have told us or warned us instead of waiting for us to complain. If that was the case and we were made aware, we would have ordered different things way ahead of the 1 hour mark. We didn't leave until after 1:30 and were quite dissatisfied with the quality of the food. I would t recommend this place to anyone, but I wouldn't protest anyone trying it either. I most likely won't go back anytime soon and don't see myself visiting this establishment in different cities either.

All kids 6 and under. Because we asked about eta on the food the lady gave us an excuse as to why it got messed up and came back with the manager and the owner asking us to leave. For literally no reason at all! We did not ask in a rude manner and were actually understanding. If this is how you run a business, it's pretty fucking sad. Whatever goes on in your personal life outside of work should not affect your business and how you perform and if that is affecting your ability to work and run a business then you should probably stay the fuck home. I hope you reap what you sow. To send kids away that are clearly hungry and asking for food is insanity. When karma hits you next, I hope you think of me.

Long list ahead, my apologies: pecan waffles, Irish omelette, pumpkin pancakes, bacon waffles, banana Nutella crepes, cornflake French toast (added bananas) and pumpkin pancakes. We thought with the ratings the food wasn't going to be good, but everything had good flavor. The only one of issue was the Irish omelette, it was INSANELY dry, flavor was there but DRY. The pecan waffles had an orange marmalade syrup that complimented well, the cornflake texture on the French toast was "5/5 amazing" according to daughter 1 that had it. Pancakes were fluffy with a good buttermilk flavor, all was well executed. The bad/indifferent, the service. This was barely above ok, did their jobs and were somewhat nice about it. Our original server was a little on the rude side, but whatever, we ended up with a different one who was a lot nicer once we moved tables (they were understanding of the table move, we were right inside the door originally) Overall, food was good, would go back for that. The service...? Eh, we'll ignore it for now.

We came here for my friend's birthday and the vibe was absolutely immaculate!!!! Exactly the kind of energy you want for a special night out. Reanee is the sweetest and will customize to your hearts desire ensuring your whistle is wet Now, the food... wow. The chicken is straight-up fire, but the real game-changer is the Lemon Pepper SAUCE. I've only ever had the dry rub before at other spots, but having it as a wet sauce is a total revelation. It's zesty, peppery, and addictive... I'm never going back to dry rub again. Amazing food, killer service, and a great atmosphere. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out. Highly recommend!

In my mind it…read morewas gonna be dimly lit, old school, classy dark-colored furniture, easy listening jazzy music playing softly in the background and a warm ambiance that was inviting, once you stepped in. That's what I picture when I hear speakeasy. A very intimate setting. However, this was completely opposite. It was bright, with a mishmash of decor. I wasn't sure if there was a theme. There were fake plants and a column/pillar with mirrors on it, an Amazon Forrest mural on the wall with televisions up on a couple. Felt like a sports bar. The tables and chairs were your average styled booths, that light-colored wood. It was sooooo cold inside. When we walked in, we were greeted by a nice young lady. She seemed to have a puzzled look on her face as to why we were there. My husband stated we had reservations. So now we were seated. Time to order. Looking over the menu, I see the pricing and was like "ok, a lil higher priced type of menu" I was down to give it a try. We ordered the calamari and zucchini chips for apps and then the butternut squash risotto with scallops (approx $30) for me and the brined chicken ($28) for my husband as well as a side of broccolini ($14). The apps came out first and I was honestly shocked. The calamari were so tiny and the zucchini looked like what they would serve in a bowling alley. Both dishes had the "mama lil's peppers" in it. I'm okay with the portion size but how are you charging $20 for calamari and $14 for the zucchini? Then we received our entrees. Again, we were looking for an elevated dining experience with the pricing of the food, to include presentation and all. I was disappointed to see the cheap cafeteria-like silverware and dish ware it was served on. Now understand the food was good. Not OMG WE ARE COMING BACK kinda good. But mid. Nothing wrong with that but the way they advertise is as if you are about to have a romantic, chill and classy dining experience. It's okay to be mid tier. I won't be mad about it. My dish was not butternut squash risotto, it was a mushroom risotto with 4 mid sized scallops. My husband's chicken was nicely seasoned and flavored and the mashed potatoes it came with, delish. He had caramelized carrots but some were straight black. Maybe a bit much heat. The broccolini was drowning in a cream sauce with onions and mama lil's peppers, slightly overcooked. Needless to say, it wasn't the dinner I was expecting, especially paying almost $200 for it. We did have a couple drinks and those were good. Customer service was on point. The staff were accommodating and helpful. I would kinda expect that since there were only us and another table in the dining room area. I had high hopes but sadly, not the vibe I was looking for. I've been to a fair share of a lil more upscale restaurants and this didn't hit that point for me personally. I think with lower prices and refraining from calling it a speakeasy, it could do well. Just my opinion. Oh they had a lil area for taking selfies available. Thank you for a nice date night with my hubby. We had a chance to have some one on one time together.
