Alert crooks i paid 3400 to have pair of cats to be fixed i was told one day by mid day it moved to two days by the end of that day they wanted to keep my car till weds following week when i was told one day fix i told old guy tom up front they could not keep my car that long i have a job as well he got aggitated and told me he cant promise my car to either be fixed or put back together when i picked my car up it was 445 they close at 5 by the time i went a mile i noticed a banging in front end THAT WAS NOT THERE EVER BEFORE when i went back to have them fix it i was told by tom that my car had 170000 miles n they must of broke when they dropped engine to get to cats and claimed no fault gave me my keys n sent me on my way now my check engine light is back on throwing codes for same work i paid 3400 i asked to speak to the owner he has yet to reach out soo im guessing hes a crook as well im in touch with bbb and a lawyer to get my car right i dint feel safe leaving my car there no more since its old like tom said n most important they did not have courtesy to even tell me my struts got broke they took my money n did nothing but break my car worse its not jyst the crappy work they do its that they only care bout ur money YOUVE BEEN WARNED read more

Please stay away took my car in for Alignment they said it was 119.00 the I told them I replaced some parts and car was driving fine when I took it in. They proceeded to do alignment and they told me I need a new Rack n Pinion and Control arm and would not do it I said ok. They then Charge me $35.00 and told me they didnt want to take my money as they were charging me. I told them they were taking my money and Owner got very Rude and loud. They could of just checked the steering and it would of taking all of 10 min of test my rack and pinion and told me it need to be fixed but Instead was it the back Revving my Mustang Engine I ask them for my car and they said they were getting it ready It took another 30min to get car. As I was driving it home I notice the front end was shaking and the noise in the my steering got very loud. I Jack my car up to check out front driver side wheel and now it was moving all alot after I just test the day before to make sure it was not loose So they broke my car on Purpose. My girl friends van had an exhaust leak and we were having a difficult time finding a repair shop that could fit us in, in a short period of time. While researching repair shops, this business popped up in Yelp and had reviews that were all 5 stars. This is highly unusual, but the reviews all appeared to be legitimate and sincere. I went to talk to them about the exhaust issue and immediately understood why others were giving them 5 stars. From my initial conversation with Tom and his mechanic, they were very willing to find some way to be accommodating, even though my request was on short notice and they weren't sure if they could get to it that day. My girlfriend agreed to leave it there, with the understanding they would call her with its status by the end of the day, most likely to be repaired the next day. Late that afternoon she received a call from Tom, stating her car had been repaired. Wow was all both of us could express. When we picked the van up, the price for the repair was a pleasant surprise and as Tom explained "we could have done significantly more to make more money, but it was not required to repair what was wrong, and that is how this business operates. I can sleep well at night, knowing we do the right thing for our customers." And that is exactly what he and his mechanic did. Owners Jim and Cindy are about the nicest, down to earth people you will ever meet. They are honest, hard working people who charge very fair prices. We have taken our vehicles there almost exclusively for the past six years or so. A few years ago, I had something go wrong on my car, and the other shop I had it taken to tried to say it was something else, that it would cost me all this money, etc. I had it taken to Stop N Go, Jim identified the problem and replaced the part at a very reasonable price. Just the other day my car went out on me again and the shop I had it at wanted more than double what Stop N Go charged me. I will no longer take my vehicles to the chain shops, they try to rip you off in any way they can - inflated prices for parts, inflated labor costs, selling you unnecessary services, etc. You go in to get a tire fixed and they "find" all these things that they want you to get done, most of which are not necessary. But a lot of people get taken advantage of and allow them to do the work. I heard them trying to charge a guy $55 to change a cabin air filter. A $15 part at Walmart that they probably pay $8 for. They once wanted $21 from me to change a #194 side marker bulb. No thanks. Never once have I felt that Jim has tried to take advantage of me. I am confident that if I take my car there, it will be fixed properly and at a very reasonable cost. Small business is the way to go. read more

I normally don't like writing negative reviews, but this is to inform others of the service you might get if considering Stop-N-Go for auto service. My car broke down, called my regular mechanic so I could tow it to him. He said he was backed up with two weeks of work. So, I walked into (SNG). I was told he could look at it within the day. I waited a few days to get a diagnosis. Apparently he was too busy to return my calls. I Had to drive there just to get an answer. I was told the timing belt was broken. Total price to repair was $600 parts and labor. I explained that I my other mechanic replaced all belts,seals,tensioner,idler,water pump,and spring less than two years ago. He said he wasn't sure why it broke, probably from over-tightening. He then tells me that I would have to wait a week for him to get started on it. At this point I was debating if I should take it back to my regular mechanic. It would cost me another towing charge + diagnostic fee ($130) total. Funds are short and I needed to keep the total cost under $500. A day or two later, I called and spoke to Jim. I asked how much would his labor be if I ordered the parts myself. He quoted $265.00 for the labor. This sounded reasonable, and about the same price range as my other mechanic would have charged. So, I tell him, what parts do you need? He explains the parts and I ordered them. A few days later the parts arrive, I bring it to him. When I confirm the labor cost that he stated, he then tells me, he made a mistake. The labor cost is now $390.00. I now feel lied to. Stuck with $185.00 in parts. I couldn't tell if he truly made a mistake or if he's swindling. I made clear that I wasn't happy with what he just did and asked if he could do better than that. He said he would knock it down to $350.00 if he didn't have to remove the water pump. I was not fully happy, but it's been two weeks since I had my vehicle and I needed the car back. So, I agreed. After five days he calls me on a Friday. He discovered that the belt did not break (wrong diagnosis). It was a broken bolt that held the idler. He explains he can't get it back to me this week. I called back on Monday. I told Cindy to tell Jim to replace the other bolts just to be sure the others weren't over-tightened or worn. I call (again) mid-week, He says he's still trying to drill out the bolt that was stuck. If he can't, he might need to remove the oil pump. He mentions nothing about pricing. I told him I'm not willing to pay any more than what we agreed on. He said he'll try again without removing the oil pump. I get a message Friday (before closing) that the car was ready. The bill came to $400.00 labor. Even though, I told him I was not willing to go any higher than the $350.00. I didn't want to get in an argument, So, I paid it. The day after I looked at the work order. I noticed that he didn't change the "other" bolt that I had requested. Note! water pump and tensioner were not replaced or needed replacing according to his inspection. The next day, I popped the hood and found 2 bolts laying under/on the windshield "cowl". I now need to order and replace the improper bolts with longer ones so that the wiring harness can be attached/snapped on the engine. Wiring harness was not put back properly or attached. I now have to do it myself. He also left grease on the seats and steering wheel. Spent thirty minutes trying to get it (not fully) off the cloth seating. Summary: There was poor communication. To the extent of not wanting,caring,or too busy to talk or call you back. This was at least 4 times throughout the 23 days that he had the vehicle. Long wait times. Felt lied to (tricked) regarding price quotes. Incomplete/Inaccurate Diagnosis. Incomplete/sloppy? reassembling of work. Leaves oil or grease marks inside driving seat. read more

I am a woman and they did not try to over charge me nor did they try to add extra work to my car. They worked on what I needed in a timely fashion and for a good price. I was looking for a good reputable repair shop to get my Brakes & Rotors replaced & get an Oil Change. I just so happened to stumble upon Stop N Go & I'm so glad I did. Cindy & Jim (the owners) are the Nicest & as Fair as they come. I told them what them what the problems were and they got me up & running in no time at all. I also had another issue, it was with my Oil Dipstick, Pep Boys wanted $400 to remove the broken piece and replace it with a new one, Jim went above and beyond, he removed the Dipstick from the oil pan & replaced it with a new one (at no charge), I was so Thankful for that.
