I've never heard of Grease Monkey before, but I decided to stop by and give them a shot. Like other oil change places, they went through the usual," what oil I want to use?" I figured this will be the same quick lube experience everywhere else and... I could not have been more wrong! To start, I asked what would he suggest and in my mind he is going to say the more expensive oil is the best... However, he just said "always go with your owners manuals suggestion, but this is your car, you tell me what you want to use and I'll use it." Well damn I thought! I've always gotten the staredown sensation when I didn't pick an expensive oil, but the guys here just smiled and said " it's your car, and your choice. I just remind you what the the people who made your car suggest." They pulled my car in, started checking the lights, fluids, filters, cleaning my windows, all while we were inside the lobby gathering my info. By the time I know it, they had my inspection ready. He showed my filters along with a new one and simply said"this is your filter and this is a new one for $19.99. Which one do you want me to put back in?" I picked the old one and again... No cold shoulder, just a smile and a," you got it!" Went over my owners manual for other services and even put into the system the stuff I did somewhere else so they can also track my cars other services. At the end of it all, it took 15 minutes from when I got out of my car, and it was ready to go! This has been one of the best experiences I've ever witnessed, and not once did I feel pressured to do anything else, and the prices for their other stuff are actually pretty cheap. I stopped in for the first time today for an oil change, being a local resident I had heard some great things about this new business and decided to give them a shot. So I go in (walk-in) to have some things checked out and the oil changed and was greeted right away by a friendly and knowledgeable employee (Severiano). He was really helpful and kind. He let me know when the master mechanic would be in and did the oil change, oil filter, air filter and changed my wiper blades AND vacuumed out my car floors and cleaned the windows all within 30minutes. Great pricing! With a good first impression (their shop is really clean and the office is nice and cool) I left and game back when the the master mechanic (Charles) was in and he's a gem! Really friendly, very honest, and insisted on showing me all the parts he recommended replacing. It's SO NICE and very refreshing to be able to do business with good, trustworthy people in Highland. They didn't give me the run around or try to up-sell me anything they just took care of things. I'm very happy with the way they do business. I work for AAA next door to Grease Monkey and took a chance on these guys as I've had some bad experiences with the previous places I've gone. The guys at Grease Monkey are simply amazing! They were no pressure salesman which speaks to my heart as a fellow salesman and explained everything they offer. I had them do the oil change and rotate the tires on my wife's van. I've had this oil change warning on my car for the past 4 years that no other oils change shop has ever reset for me and these guys reset it for me. This was the first time in 4 years I haven't heard the ding from that oil change warning sound when I first start my car. It sounds like a small aspect but it shows that they don't cut even the smallest corners when completing a service. Their prices are amazing and I'm able to get the oil change for both my cars for less than what it normally costs me for one. Their shop is incredibly clean and the go the extra mile by covering not only the floor board so their greasy shoes don't make a mess, but they cover your seat and stealing wheel so there is no trace of oil or anything inside your car. They topped off all my fluids for me and even cleaned all the windows on my car. It's the small details that theses guys excel at. Again, this is the best service I have ever had. Great service! The tech, Adan, was courteous and friendly. There was no wait as I had scheduled an appointment for an oil change. I was in and out in the approximate time he gave me for the service to be completed. He followed covid-19 guidelines in interacting with me including wearing his mask at check out. A big plus was that he didn't try to up sell me on other services/filters based "on the manufacturer's recommendation" like they do at Jiffy Lube (which they do every single time I've taken a vehicle there and with their ridiculous up charges on cabin air filters at $99 that can be bought at Wal-mart/Auto Zone for under $30). read more
