Salmon, rice, pilaf, and purple cabbage.

I really enjoy the ambience at this local favorite. As I enter, I feel a very strong "happy to be an American vibe" which I have not felt recently, in light of all that is going on in our country. The view of the Bay and Morro Rock are spectacular. It is right by the pier, and often one can enjoy otter sightings. So far, I have tried the special flat iron steak salad, the salmon, and the calamari steak, all of which were outstanding. I most especially love the purple cabbage salad side, which is marinated for 24 hours in their red wine vinegar dressing with salt, garlic, and onion. Delish! Cassandra, the server that I have had, has been outstanding. This place is top-notch and really can't be beat.

I love that this place is on the water. There was no wait and we got seated by the window. Which I always prefer if possible or even outside if it's a nice day. The view of morro bay rock is beautiful while you enjoy your food. I ordered oysters and a clam chowder bread bowl. I feel like you can't really go wrong with oysters but there's not much to prepare or season with raw oysters. The clam Chowder was just ok. I have had better but it was decent. I would go back again but it's nothing spectacular. I do enjoy being on the water. And while we were eating we really enjoyed watching the sea otters and sea lions swim around.

Came by for some dinner, and they have such a nice location - right on the water. We got seated by the window, and we got to watch the sunset. Beautiful. Good menu filled with different seafood options. We enjoyed our food, but the prices seemed a bit high for what we got. That being said, if you're expecting food to be a bit overpriced, then you'll be okay. Good clam chowder, calamari, and coconut shrimp. Those were our big favorites. Decent drink selection as well. If you have a dog, they do have outdoor dining available. But the area is small and looks mushed together. We were initially going to eat with our dogs, but it just looked like it wasn't going to be the best of dining experience. Overall, food was decent, but there were much better places to eat in Morro Bay. Wouldn't be my top pick for a return visit.

Stopped by to see some sea otters and wanted a quick bite at this unassuming restaurant. The service was amazing by Cassandra, the food came out quick and it was all so fresh, and prices were fair for the quality and being Oceanside. All the seafood was so plump and cooked perfectly. Great experience for my family

We stopped by with the family on our way to SF. I want to highlight the attentive service. We initially sat outside, but it started getting chilly. We were promptly moved indoors and offered a great table with a magnificent view. I wanted to try their famous bbq oysters-an unusual flavor, but I really enjoyed them.

I had high hopes for this place but unfortunately not everything hit the mark. I will say I'm not a big seafood eater, and my family did enjoy their food- including the blackened swordfish! I got the teriyaki chicken and expected it to come on a bed of rice or at least with sides. However it came with nothing..just a piece of chicken on a plate. It was under the dinner section which said it included 2 sides but when I asked, they said it was al la carte. Pretty disappointing, serving a protein with nothing else, white rice could have sufficed. My second option was the chicken Alfredo which I should have got! The clam chowder looked amazing loaded! I got the regular and it was super thick which I didn't enjoy. The taste was good but I'm just used to a thinner soup, lost me on that as well sadly. The dessert however- AMAZING! That donut will be in my dreams until I come back! Cute restaurant with a great view (when it's not foggy)! Right on the water which is great. The service was wonderful, our waitress was top tier and very sweet!

We stopped here for an afternoon outdoor seating treat with a view. The cocktail was great but the view of boats & people fishing from the pier is spectacular. We may explore the food next time but it looked promising

This is our favorite place to stop at when visiting Morro Bay. Staff is always friendly and food is always good. I tried the tuna poke nachos and it was really fresh and a great flavor all around. The fish and chips were great as well. The fist was perfectly fried. My husband is a bread fiend so we had to get some garlic cheese bread. Gotta love a butter, garlic, and cheese combo. This was our "light dinner". We normally go for the nicer meals they offer but today we went a different route. Still happy and we will go again tomorrow! It's become "our place".

I wanted to eat here because it was away from where all the other people were eating or walking around and it also smelt like burning wood/mesquite/camp fire. It also had a patio where we could eat with our dog. The hostess went above and beyond by providing our dog ice water (he's black so he absorbs all the suns ray when we walk) and also gave us 2 blue buffalo treats to give him. Outside the patio was nice with umbrellas to provide us shade and a nice view of outside. I asked the hostess what they were known for and she said mesquite, ahí poke nachos, and forgot the others. The loaded clam chowder tasted very black peppery, so I was a little disappointed. The ahí poke nachos was a tower! But it was mainly wonton chips and they did have seaweed salad. The flavor was good, just wish they had a little more ahí. The mesquite fish and chips were delicious, but the size of the fish was a tease. The hostess wasn't joking on them being known for anything mesquite! I wish I had ordered a entree mesquite fish dish and not the fish and chips (not enough fish). The Mariner salad had crabs, shrimps, grape tomatoes, carrots, red onions and lettuce with their Louie sauce. Their Louie sauce was flavorful and good, I just wish they had a little more crab! This place is a touristy area, so I am guessing rent is high and that's why some of the dishes don't put a lot of meat, but they do supplement with other things like more fries or more chips. Service was great and I wouldn't mind coming back here again to try some of the other stuff (definitely mesquite) if we have our dog with us. Definitely dog friendly!!

King Crab Mac n Cheese. More Mac than Crab

This an always reliable locale that has great views and selection. Staff are attentive to their guests, and make sure their customers enjoy their visit. Service is prompt and efficient. Items on their menu are worth their weight in gold. But, I would only say that the King Crab Macaroni and cheese is underwhelming. Reading the description, I expected a shelled crab leg atop a creamy traditional mac n cheese. What arrived was an almost soupy mac n cheese with cubed prosciutto, over cooked bacon, and an icd cream scoop of crab meat. Compared to my usual visit, this was night and day. I now know to stick to my usual fried seafood and chips, than to explore their other options.

Discovered this beautiful place on my first visit to Morro Bay in August. My friend and I decided it was time for something cold to drink and some to eat. We had a great table with a view of the huge rock and a wedding party having their reception. Our server was great and happened to be the bartender since the server was busy with the other customers. My friend had a dirty martini and I had a local Chardonnay. Appetizer-wise, she had oysters on the half shell and I tried their crab cocktail. I couldn't believe how packed it was with fresh chunks of crab!! It was fantastic and filling. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and I look forward to a return visit next year.

On a quick day trip on a Friday afternoon, we decided to give this place a try. No reservation and were promptly greeted and seated. Although we did not have a full bay view, we had a partial bay view. Some hits and misses with food and service. 1. Bowl of Clam Chowder (no bread bowls available). Chowder was piping hot and had nice pieces of clams (dad got a bit of clam shell..so be careful), celery and potatoes. The chowder was very creamy and not grainy or watery like other locations. I would definitely order again 5/5 2. Fish & Chips: Fresh Pacific cod, lightly breaded, served with house-made tartar sauce. Fish was fried to perfection. 5/5 3. Seafood Pasta: Linguini with jumbo prawns, fresh catch, Cajun cream sauce, garlic bread. Everything tasted fresh and seasoned perfectly 5/5 4. Side of Garlic bread: extremely disappointing. We ordered garlic bread with our chowder, it never came. Waitress decided to serve it with the mains (fish and chips) and we ordered for the entire table and she only brought 2 pieces. 5. Insalata Molina: Mixed greens, arugula, pear, walnuts, crumbled blue cheese, mango vinaigrette. Couldn't tell you if this was any good bc the waitress NEVER brought but charged us for it. She then takes it off the bill and brings me the salad in a Styrofoam container. I told her I didn't want it and put it in my bag. Salad was so soggy (which means the kitchen prepared it and the waitress forgot to serve it) I would not order and do not recommend ordering it bc it was the size of a side salad definitely not worth the price point. 6. Mocktail Lavender lemonade: definitely not balanced, was pretty tart and again the price point was off. It was about 8oz lemonade for $12 They do offer a nice selection of wines. Restrooms are located outside the restaurant and are public restrooms, pretty dirty and out of stock. Although our service was a big miss, I do recommend the food items we ordered. I did take a star off due to the service.

When we entered the dog-friendly patio with our little Goldendoodle, Bailey, a large dog seated at the table closest to the only patio entrance lunged toward her and bared its teeth. Since it was the only way in and out, I let the staff know I was concerned. They immediately spoke with the owners, who moved their dogs farther under the table, and after our meal, the owner's father went above and beyond by opening the rope barriers so we could exit another way and avoid walking past them again. Both the father and son were incredibly kind, understanding, and accommodating, which we really appreciated. Once we were settled, we were able to enjoy the beautiful patio. It's a quaint waterfront spot with gorgeous views, a relaxing atmosphere, and the perfect setting to enjoy fresh seafood. Bailey was promptly brought a complimentary bowl of water, and we loved seeing so many other well-behaved dogs enjoying the patio. It's easy to see why this restaurant has such a great reputation for being dog friendly. We ordered the King Salmon Quesadilla special, and it was absolutely delicious. It was packed with generous portions of fresh salmon, plenty of melted cheese, and vegetables, and it was more than enough for my mom and me to share. My brother also really enjoyed the tri-tip sandwich. Everything tasted fresh and was served hot. While we wish the aggressive dogs had been seated somewhere other than the only entrance to the patio, that wasn't the restaurant's fault, and they handled the situation as well as they could. Between the excellent food, beautiful waterfront setting, dog-friendly atmosphere, and genuinely caring owners, we had a great overall experience and would happily return.
