Came from Oklahoma and stayed in Valdosta on a work trip and decided to check out the local scene…read more It was fun with one exception, the karaoke DJ was rude as hell. Other than his vibes, I had a great time. Also, this place says it's a country bar, it was anything but. Never felt more out of place singing Brooks & Dunn of all music...

It's big and spacious has a pool table, darts and some game that reminds me of beer pong. Music was all country which we enjoyed! They do have weekly specials and also events throughout the week. Our server was good. She was nice and friendly. We ended up ordering 3 different entrees. A smash burger which was our first time ever eating one. I guess it's supposed to be a smashed patty but wasn't really that at all. Lacked flavor which was a bummer because that's another highlight of a smash burger. Entree number 2 was the river dawg. It was definitely not what we expected. Wasn't even that good lacked flavor however the hoagie roll was soft and delicious. Last but not least we ordered the yard bird. It was pry the most flavorful thing out of everything. The edge of it was raw but they did end up taking the whole sandwich off the bill. The fries were delicious according to my girlfriend top 5 I didn't eat any so I took her word. Fried pickles were in point the breading wasn't too much or too little weren't salty and the ranch that was served with it was good too wasn't watery. Macaroni and cheese tasted like it was straight out of the stouffers box disappointing. Onion rings were a little crunchy and overdone. All together the food overall was maybe a 5 out of 10. Going to come back to try their wings we love wings.

Gotta be honest. Those Parmesan fries need to go, they are baked and not fried and burnt and dry…read more The fire cracker chicken was great and my chop steak medium was chop steak jack links. But the rest of my party loved their food and desserts, except the fries. Our waitress started slow but then really shined. Everyone but me enjoyed their food. Mine would have been good if wasn't extra well done.

The customer service was great, everything was brought out correctly... the food? not so great…read more First of all, everything we ordered was very unhealthy. I didn't realize how much butter they put in everything. Ok, almost everything - my rice pilaff seemed pretty healthy and had no or very little butter. Chicken was buttered, mashed potatoes came with butter inside (of course, that's expected) but also a scoop of butter on top of mashed potatoes. Salad was soaked in dressing AND came with EXTRA dressing on the side in case you needed more!? The side of steamed broccoli that I was hoping will be healthier, came buttered, as well sitting on top of melted lemon butter sauce. I did request the lemon butter sauce on the side for chicken so thankfully it was on the side, just in case... yes, the butter sauce was tasty (lemon, garlic, butter) but in case you are trying to eat healthier and/or care about your heart, I would stay away from buttery dishes, ask for dressing on the side (even salad) and choose wisely. Oh, and as an appetizer they bring you complimentary delicious multigrain bread with a side of butter. The bread was delicious! Great ambience, clean bathrooms, otherwise.

Extremely disappointed with this order…read more.. I ordered a two-person meal and somehow nearly every item was wrong. The first steak was ordered medium, but what arrived looked more like a hockey puck. It was severely overcooked, dry, and even burnt on the outside. There was no pink left at all, definitely not being prepared to the requested temperature. The fried shrimp was even more confusing. Instead of being crispy and crunchy, it was soggy, wet, and falling apart. The breading had absorbed moisture and lost all texture, making it completely unappetizing. Fried shrimp should not feel soft and mushy. (The included picture was *after* I drained out the liquid from the to-go box.) The only part of the meal that was remotely enjoyable was the croissants, and even those were disappointing. They arrived cold and hard with very little honey butter on them. Anyone who has eaten at Cheddar's knows the honey butter is one of the best parts, so seeing barely any on them made it feel like an afterthought. To make matters worse, I paid extra for honey mustard and never received it at all. When you're already paying additional charges for sauces and add-ons, it's frustrating to open the bag and find that they were completely forgotten. For the amount of money spent, this meal was nowhere near the quality I expected. The majority of the meal was inedible. One steak was severely overcooked, the other streak was over peppered and both that steak and the shrimp were soggy, and the chicken was also not enjoyable. Aside from sampling a few bites, the majority of the meal remains uneaten because it did not meet reasonable expectations for the items ordered. An overcooked steak, a soggy steak, soggy shrimp, cold rolls with barely any honey butter on them, and missing sauces that I paid extra for made this feel like a complete waste of money. I was looking forward to dinner and ended up still hungry and also frustrated instead. I was also really looking forward to the broccoli and carrots, but those were also inedible due to all of the moisture collecting as pools of liquid in the to-go box. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst takeout experiences I've had from Cheddar's. I would appreciate a refund or store credit, as the food received was not representative of the meal that was ordered or paid for.
